PJ was awesome. The music was great, the sound was clear and distinct. Very good show and I would definitely see him again!
PJ put on an amazing show. I will come back to see him again.
I love PJ’s music (especially live)! I had the time of my life!! 10/10
Everything was outstanding!! The band (with the horns - NOLA), outstanding. Set list, outstanding. Vocals, outstanding. I especially enjoyed when PJ came Back out and serenaded his wife with his latest song. What a beautiful moment to share with the audience. I’ll definitely be at his next Chicago show.
My friends and I had an amazing time. I hate to admit I did not know who PJ Morton was before I bought tickets. I bought them because a good girlfriend wanted to go for her birthday. I am now a FAN! PJ put on a great show! The band was on point as well as the singers. I danced, I laughed, I sang along with the call and response. The concert was definitely a musical journey.
The Cavemen, a group out of Lagos, Nigeria, opened for PJ Morton. I didn't really feel them. I took my 8yo daughter and we had a blast! PJ music/voice/sound/energy was Great!
That concert was everything... it's very artist in this era who when you listen to their music, there are no skips. Love a live concert with all musical instruments. The other artist was good also, can't wait for PJ to come back.
PJ is such a soulful musican and singer. You can hear the influences of his own personal music heroes. The band is amazing, the background singers definitely do not disappoint! I plan on seeing him every chance I get. Honorable mention, the opening act, The Cavemen were awesome!!!
This was my first time going to one of his concerts and it was such an amazing experience for me. His music has a way of speaking to you, so to hear it live while also experiencing the joy and great vibes he and his band brings is something I will always remember.
PJ did his thing, definitely pleased, but the opening act I think was kinda long meaning an hour of them lost me, 30 minutes of them and maybe 30 minutes of the comedian would have been more enjoyable to me
Attending PJ Morton’s Cape Town to Cairo concert was truly one of the most amazing experiences of my life! From the moment he and the band took the stage, I knew we were in for a special night. The energy was electric, and the anticipation in the audience was palpable. PJ Morton’s performance was a magnificent musical journey that seamlessly blended rhythm and blues with soulful twists, all deeply rooted in gospel influences. Each song was delivered with such passion and skill that it felt as if he was sharing a piece of his heart with us. The arrangement of the music was outstanding, showcasing not only PJ’s incredible vocal range but also the immense talent of his band. What struck me the most was how the live experience surpassed listening to his records. The sound was richer, more dynamic, and every note reverberated through the venue in a way that made you feel fully immersed in the performance. The highlights of the night were undoubtedly the crowd sing-alongs, where everyone joined in on their favorite parts, creating a beautiful sense of community and connection. PJ Morton not only performed all of his hit songs but also infused them with spontaneous moments of improvisation that kept the audience on their toes. It was a stellar performance that left us all wanting more. If you enjoy live music, I cannot recommend attending one of his concerts enough—you will not be disappointed! Overall, PJ Morton’s Cape Town to Cairo concert was an unforgettable experience filled with soul, energy, and pure talent. I left the venue feeling uplifted and inspired, already looking forward to the next time I can see him perform live!
His band is made up of true musicians. He is so very talented. The comedian was ok.
PJ Morton’s Capetown to Cairo Tour was absolutely incredible! The rich, melodic sounds from the band and singers energized the entire audience at The Orpheum Theater in Memphis. PJ is a brilliant artist whose voice, creativity, and lyrical vulnerability is truly soul-soothing.
PJ is the Stevie Wonder of our generation! He never disappoints!
Kenyon did an amazing job!!!! So happy that the people in my city were blessed with his talent. PJ Morton was great. They both filled the space with r and b soul and joy.
Time of my life. When is he coming back because I will go again.
With a week ahead of us, we knew that we'd tour the museums and galleries, eat amazing food and venture on Beale Street to hang with the locals. Never thought we'd see one of my favorite artists at the historic Orpheum Theater! Purchased the tickets while we were at dinner at BBKings on Beale, then waited with heightened anticipation for the 7 minute walk from the hotel to witness this phenom in action. THEN to catch Kenyon Dixon as the opener??? Amazing show, as PJ never disappoints!! An amazing addition to my trip to Memphis!!
It was a great show from start to finish. Venue was a perfect place to have the concert. Can’t wait to see him again.
What can I say? I’m a fan!!! This was one of the best concert experiences I’ve had in a minute!!! It was date night and Hubby was a little reluctant but now he has “Smoke and Mirrors” on repeat!
PJ never fails, super talented and the greatest artist of all time!!!
