About
PJ Morton is a soul singer, songwriter, performer and producer based in New Orleans. He is a 5x GRAMMY-winner and 20x GRAMMY nominee who has earned numerous nominations for BET, Soul Train and NAACP Image Awards, in addition to selling out countless shows at historic venues like the Apollo Theater, Kennedy Center and others around the world. On top of running his own record label (Morton Records) and serving as Maroon 5's full-time keyboardist for the past 12+ years, he has collaborated with Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Jon Batiste, Nas, Lil Wayne, JoJo, Yebba, Jill Scott and many others.
In 2024, PJ Morton will become the first Black composer to ever write an original song for a Disney attraction - Tiana's Bayou Adventure, coming soon to Disneyland and Disney World. He will also release an album entirely written, recorded and produced during a 30-day trip across Africa, and publish a new book titled Saturday Night, Sunday Morning. Arriving November 12th via Worthy Publishing, an imprint of Hachette Book Group, the memoir sees him recounting and reflecting upon a trailblazing path that continues to defy expectations and straddle the tensions of music and faith, race and culture, expression and identity.

A Rare and Amazing Night In Atlanta
by SirGreendown on 6/25/14Center Stage Theatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5Both Tweet and PJ Morton gave stellar performances. The audience also boasted some phenomenal artist who came out to support the two performers. Missy Elliott and Queen Latifah were in attendance. It was truly a great night.
PJ Morton is AMAZING
by TMJames on 6/25/14Center Stage Theatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5I've seen PJ Morton so many times but this show was absolutely incredible. The energy between him and his band and the audience made it a night to remember. I can't wait until next time!
PJ Morton and Tweet were amazing!!!!
by Margaret1006 on 6/25/14Center Stage Theatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5Tweet opened the show and though I haven't seen her perform in a long time her vocals were impeccable. She sang with so much passion and feeling. Can't wait for her new project to come out. PJ came out and put on an amazing show. There is something about a PJ Morton concert that you can't describe in words, you just have to be there to experience it. I'm trying to figure out how I can see another performance that's just how great it was! Since the concert all I've been listening to is PJ Morton and Tweet.
PJ & Tweet were phenomenal!
by TheeRachelB on 6/25/14Center Stage Theatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5I've always been a fan of PJ & Tweet so there was no reason for me to have any doubt that this show would be short of amazing! It was my first time seeing Tweet live and she shut it down. I've seen PJ millions of times, but each show is an experience and I'm thoroughly entertained!

PJ - Great per usual
by Luvleemelodie on 6/24/14CenterStage - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5There is an expectation of every PJ show that the music will be amazing and the songs will be the ones we love. PJ delivered. His band was awesome and JoJo held down the vocals as usual. There were parts of the show where the sound was a little muddled (as far as the band is concerned). Overall, there was a family feel at Center Stage because everyone there was a true supporter. I enjoyed the show and can't wait to hear more music from PJ.

by Means2 on 2/25/14Howard Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5Awesome performance and venue. Up close and personal :)
PJ Morton show was cool
by chzls on 2/25/14Howard Theatre - WashingtonRating: 3 out of 5The PJ Morton event I attended was cool. I love his laid back vocal approach and of course his music is awesome. Although I enjoyed the opening act "Black Alley" I think the program director or whoever is in charge, could have done a better Job selecting an opening act the complimented PJ Morton a little better. But Overall it was a very good event. The Theater looks great, much better than it did a year ago when I was there and the food was GREAT!!

The venue was great but PJ Morton put on a mediocre show that wasn't worth attending. He said that he was having problems with his voice. I would've preferred that he cancelled than to give us that mediocre show.
Best Live show ever!
by SimplyTiffy on 2/25/14Howard Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5The venue was nice, and Black Alley and PJ Morton were AMAZING!!!
