Phoenix Mercury History
The Phoenix Mercury are a professional basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Founded in 1997, the Mercury are one of the league’s original eight franchises. The team reached their first Finals in 1998 and have made six total appearances, winning in 2007, 2009 and 2014. The Mercury’s legacy is marked by two major No. 1 picks: Diana Taurasi in 2004 and Brittney Griner in 2013. As members of the Mercury, Taurasi won the regular season MVP in 2009 and set multiple WNBA records, including most career points, most three-pointers and most field goals made, while Griner earned two Defensive Player of the Year Awards and broke several block records. Ahead of the 2025 season, Taurasi announced her retirement and the Mercury acquired five-time All-Star Alyssa Thomas, who continues to hold the WNBA record for career triple-doubles.

Great seats and all the event staff we encountered were friendly and very helpfully. Highly recommend.
Best game by far!!!! I will never forget the experience that I had, being on the floor and watching my woman crush Brittney and Diana play with in inches away from me!!!! Unforgettable!!!
Best sporting event I have ever been to. Had tickets directly behind the broadcasting booth and they were perfect seats.
Unbelievable game... first half it looked like the Atlanta Dreams were going to win then half time hit and something snapped in place... Brittany and gang started to roar back... to put Atlanta in their place... I enjoyed my Carl's Jr meal!
I never tried to get a seat as close to the court before, when this deal came up I thought it would be worth a try. Wow the seat was really close like right behind the visiting teams benches. I could see the players up close and all the action. Nice folks in the area, we had a good time. Just remember lots of people are walking by so you may have to stand sometimes to see the 1/2 time show etc. Sometimes they sell seats on the floor right in front so if you get a tall person in front of you and you are short you may have an obstructed view directly in front of you. (you will have to lean around to see the basketball action at that hoop.) This was the women of inspiration night and we honored Gabby Giffords. She walked right in front of me. I could have touched her! Add to that you get dinner a medium combo from Carl's Jr, it was a great value, all for under 50.00. I would do this again! I love basketball so to be up close in the action is a treat!!
Great experience at an affordable price with the all you can eat plan.
My family and I absolutely enjoy Phoenix Mercury games. Our original seats had a great group of season ticket holders that were friendly, engaging and inviting. We ended up being moved to Row 6 after the 1st quarter with some friends that had open seats. What an experience. Love the energy of the fans at these games.
I love Brittney Griner and Breanner Stewart. I followed them from College. I love the WNBA. Seattle Storm was the better team at the end. With only Diana and Brittney, they couldn't hold the team by themselves. They got to make all their shots. All of them. The playoffs are coming.
The food available for the 'all you can eat' deal was popcorn, nachos, hotdogs, and soda pop. Lots of other food (and drinks) available, but it was not included in this deal. My food voucher was valued at $14, so if you were only going to get popcorn, hotdogs, and nachos, it was probably a good deal. If you wanted something else for your $14, you'd be better off just spending the $14 on what you wanted - even though that wouldn't go too far for stadium foods. The seat was OK, but farther up than I expected and at one end of the basketball court - not under the basket, but definitely on one end of the visitor's side of the arena. You could see there were many open seats in better sections and closer to the court.
This might have been the best game they ave played this year. There were consistent didn't allow NY to make a run on them.
I took my family to our first WNBA game and we had a great time. Great entertainment!
Griner and Fowles are the best in the league and it made for a great evening of basketball.
The Phoenix Mercury X-factor came out in full force to support Diana Taurasi and the Mercury. It was the biggest and loudest crowd I have ever seen in the WNBA!
Good game Food sucked Couldn't find prepaid parking, so paid another $10.00
Highly entertaining. The Mercury team has loyal fans and it was fun for the whole family!!!
The Phoenix Mercury put on a hell of a show! Great game, excitement AND took home to W! Will absolutely being going to more games this season!
I really enjoyed the game and this was my son first female game and he enjoyed it as well
It's the beginning of the season and I was hoping for a home win. I'm sure the revised team will get used to playing together. Here's to a winning season!
There is only one area that can redeem the package so you'd think everyone is aware of the procedure. It's not rocket science but it took 20 minutes to get them to give us our wristbands to then be served popcorn and nachos from the week before.......super stale. I feel like they leave the leftovers for this workstation and all of the suckers that got the package
My kids and I don't get out very often, buy every time we come to the Mercury Game we have an awesome time. The arena is always very is to get around and the staff are great.
