About

Pop-rock musician Phillip Phillips wowed “American Idol” fans and judges in season 11 with spot-on covers of iconic songs including Steve Wonder’s “Superstition”, Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”, and Otis Redding’s “Hard to Handle”. Phillips’ scratchy vocals, reminiscent of his own idol Dave Matthews, are exemplified in his chart-topping debut single “Home” as well as sweet, mellow tracks like “So Easy”. His platinum-selling first album The World from the Side of the Moon includes the upbeat love song “Gone, Gone, Gone”, which is sure to be a wedding song for Phillips fans for years to come. The Georgia-born singer/songwriter wound up taking home the title of American Idol, but only after dealing with congenital kidney issues that landed him in the hospital for eight surgeries during the “Idol” season. Phillips recovered in time for the “American Idol LIVE Tour”, performing major-market concerts alongside the season’s nine other top contestants. The 46-city trek sold more than a quarter of a million tickets overall, placing it at No. 62 in the Top 200 North American tours of 2012.

Hubby and I saw Phillip in New Orleans and he was awesome. We enjoyed the concert and was amazed at how his music had changed since "IDOL" . Hubby enjoyed the horns and drums. I just enjoyed PHILLIP! Good show.

Absolutely loves the performance. Amazing. Loved the passion displayed by Phillip & all of his band members. Very selfless to share the stage with all of his band members giving them time in the spotlight. The theater could have done a better job with the lighting.

Magic! performed so well!! They sound just like they do on the radio, and their stage presence was super sexy and fun. Phillip Phillips though...he is just unbelievable. I had so much fun during every song. I loved his band, the cello was such a great touch. And PP is so hot! haha - voice amazing. So glad I went.

I've seen Phillip open for John Mayer back in December 2013 and I enjoyed Phillip over John. Seeing Phillip being the "main attraction" proves why he won American Idol and just how amazing he is. I appreciate how into his music he is.. and how amazing his band is. I will see Phillip EVERY TIME he is in my city. He's worth EVERY PENNY!

Phillip Phillips is so much more than his songs on the radio. The whole band is incredible. He puts out so much energy from beginning to end. What a rock show!! Can't wait for the next show.

  • Boring

by Concertjunkiedad on 8/10/14Fairgrounds Coliseum - IndianapolisRating: 2 out of 5

The concert was boring and no one was there to see him. The place had like 500 people tops. Philips played about 9 songs but more of a jam session than a concert. The concert sucked.

  • I had "FUN" @ Philip Phillips!

by SoulshineLadybug on 8/8/14Fairgrounds Coliseum - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

It was definitely noticed that he was committed to his fans enjoying themselves. Not only did he mention that he wanted us to have fun, he asked us as well. I loved the musical solos they did & the "battles" were fun too. The acoustic sound was great in the coliseum.

  • Amazing show

Phillip Phillips braved the dust storm and he was well worth waiting for. I loved his unique style of singing that is all his own! I loved it, loved it, loved it!!!! I especially enjoyed the trumpet player in combination with the cello. Wow Phillip Phillips has great ideas and produces amazing and original sounds. I would absolutely recommend his live concert to all my friends. I want to see him again!

  • Tons of energy!

by Valtell on 7/10/14Salt River Fields at Talking Stick - ScottsdaleRating: 4 out of 5

Despite the extremely hot and humid weather and then the unexpected dust/lightning storm that delayed Phillip's performance, it was totally worth the wait, five hour drive, sweat, and dust. Phillip came out with tons of energy and played his heart out. He got the weary crowd involved and everyone forgot how miserable it had been before he took the stage. The crowd was singing along and roaring approval of each song. A true entertainer that sounds awesome live!

  • Despite the dust storm, Philip Philips rocked!

by K2thelogg on 7/7/14Salt River Fields at Talking Stick - ScottsdaleRating: 4 out of 5

It took over an hour for the dust storm to pass. However, Philip Philips was worth the wait. Would have liked him to play longer, but the fireworks made up for it.

  • Phillip Phillips was AWESOME!

by azcowgirlz on 7/7/14Salt River Fields at Talking Stick - ScottsdaleRating: 5 out of 5

After we weren't even sure the show was going to go on because of the "haboob" that blew in, we stuck around and so glad we did! Phillip Phillips is so passionate about his music, it shows when he's up there on stage and makes for a spectacular show!! The fireworks were pretty awesome, too!

  • An American Idol and More!!!

by MomofZZbrothers on 7/6/14Salt River Fields at Talking Stick - ScottsdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Phillip Phillips played at Salt River Stadium..known for the home of the AZ Diamond Backs & Colorado Rockies Spring Training Facility he knocked this one out of the park. It was better than I anticipated (shame on me)....and he rocked the house with his great guitar playing and fabulous musicians backing him up on stage. Would see him again for sure!

  • Salt River field July 3rd concert

by Raybones1 on 7/6/14Salt River Fields at Talking Stick - ScottsdaleRating: 4 out of 5

All acts were very good. The sand storm caused havoc and the handling by staff left a lot to be desired. Poor communication as well as poor customer service.
