Pop-rock musician Phillip Phillips wowed “American Idol” fans and judges in season 11 with spot-on covers of iconic songs including Steve Wonder’s “Superstition”, Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”, and Otis Redding’s “Hard to Handle”. Phillips’ scratchy vocals, reminiscent of his own idol Dave Matthews, are exemplified in his chart-topping debut single “Home” as well as sweet, mellow tracks like “So Easy”. His platinum-selling first album The World from the Side of the Moon includes the upbeat love song “Gone, Gone, Gone”, which is sure to be a wedding song for Phillips fans for years to come. The Georgia-born singer/songwriter wound up taking home the title of American Idol, but only after dealing with congenital kidney issues that landed him in the hospital for eight surgeries during the “Idol” season. Phillips recovered in time for the “American Idol LIVE Tour”, performing major-market concerts alongside the season’s nine other top contestants. The 46-city trek sold more than a quarter of a million tickets overall, placing it at No. 62 in the Top 200 North American tours of 2012.

Phillip Phillips concert was one of the best shows I've seen . His band was great and they can Rock. He has an amazing voice and kept us very entertained. I would go see him again in a heartbeat.
Where do I start . . . . I loved every part of this concert. The instrumentals were amazing as was Phillips' voice. It was a complete musical experience - the trombone, the trumpet, the cello, the guitar. The band has some seriously gifted musicians. On top of that were really strong vocals. The concert had a perfect mix of songs that evoked all sorts of emotions - love, nostaglia, and others that just wanted to make you dance or jam. The music made you feel ALIVE!! At times, the music seemed almost sensual . . . teasing you a bit, making you want more, and then wham - giving you exactly what you want. I will see Phillips again for sure.
This concert was such a good time. I get the impression that Phillip Phillips is a humble man. The show was not all about him. He spent time showcasing his various band members. Loved the fact that there was a cello and trumpet. He is an excellent guitar player and you could really feel his love for music. If you want to experience music like it should be felt and not just a show then this is a must see.
We totally enjoyed the Phillip Phillips concert. He was a wonderful performer both musically and in the dialogue he carried on for the crowd. Each musician in his band was wonderful and extremely talented. AND, he's even cuter in person. Highly recommend his concerts to everyone. Feel so sad for those people in Sioux City who missed out on this one.
The concert was great with many great musicians in his band.
One of the best concerts I have ever seen! So much talent on that stage!, fabulous band and loved the cello! Songs were great too. Have been a fan since Idol. Look forward to hearing much more from Phillip Phillips and his band. Go see these guys, you will love them!
This was one of the best concerts I've attended over the past 10 years. Phillip and his band were fantastic. Outstanding musicians...very talented..
Phillip Phillips and his musicians put on an awesome show!! Loved every minute of it! Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an evening of great music!
I love Phillip Phillips and love to hear him sing. Show started at 7:30, opening act was good. Then they reset the stage and PP started at 8:30. 5 jam sessions in the first 40 minutes. I came to hear him sing the songs I love, not jam. We left 40 min into the show. Very disappointed.
So nice to see a new, fresh artist! He is a good ole boy that exudes passion thru his lyrics. I loved the band! The viola and trombone were a unique and special sound!! Phillip Phillips in this venue could not have been more perfect!! If he came back every year, I would be there. I hope he continues on this path, how AWESOME it is!!!!
Absolutely amazing!!! Enjoyed the entire concert. Can't wait to see him again!
He rocked it the entire concert. We stood the whole time. His latest music has more funk and New Orleans influence than I thought it would. We thoroughly enjoyed the show.
Loved watching Phillip on American Idol. Didn't think he could get any better but he proved me wrong. He was awesome. He not only can sing but is a fantastic musician also!!!
Great show, Phillip was good, but he was also surrounded by other great musicians. Lots of energy from them and the crowd loved it.
Phillip was amazing!!!! Great theater, so intimate.
Phillip Phillips aims to please! Very simple show, but loved all of the music and my seats were great. A gathering of people happened in the front row center and were a constant problem for the employees. Felt really bad for the people who paid for premium seats and had their experience ruined by ignorant people running forward. There was not enough staff to handle this situation, there were two older, very nice employees who could not handle the situation. Very sad that people did this. I moved up one row due to people not showing up and a very tall man in front of me, so I was an even happier camper.
Phillip Phillips was a perfect concert! His opening number was good and he was amazing! He sang the entire time while he ruled his guitar!
Philip Phillips put on a great show. The setting was small & intimate. I felt like I was part of the show.
I loved a few songs from Phillip Phillips which is why I attended, and the live show far exceeded my expectations! The songs from the new album, which I didn't know, I liked even more than the songs that were my favorites! Wonderfully eclectic and spanning multiple genres, he is a true musical artist!
