Philadelphia 76ers History
The Philadelphia 76ers were one of the league's first franchises. Founded in 1946 and playing their first NBA season in 1949, the team was introduced as the Syracuse Nationals and played home games in upstate New York.
After moving to Philadelphia in 1963 and adopting the 76ers moniker in honor of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in the city in 1776, the team has had a prominent history featuring several players who would go on to be inducted into the Pro Basketball Hall of Fame: Dolph Schayes, Hal Greer, Wilt Chamberlain, Billy Cunningham, Bobby Jones, Julius Erving, Maurice Cheeks, Moses Malone, Charles Barkley, and Allen Iverson.
The 76ers have made 52 playoff appearances and earned nine trips to the NBA Finals, winning three World Championships. Chamberlain, Erving, Malone, Iverson and Joel Embiid have all also been named the NBA Most Valuable Player while playing for the 76ers, for a total of seven MVP awards.

Arena was great, getting inside was seamless and easy. Lots of great music and interaction. Seats were awesome and had great view of the the floor. Would def visit again….and the celtics won ☘️
We had a great experience. Our entire team did. Great game, great food options, great seats, convenient parking, smooth security check and friendly staff. We will be back for sure.
Everything was great. Game, entertainment during break in play, music food and fun. And they WON!!!!!
We were in section 214 Row 1 and the seats were fantastic. No one in front of us and actually no one right behind us because the handicap seating was raised up behind us. My first time at the arena and I immediately noticed how clean it and organized it felt. The entertainment during the game kept my 9yr old locked in and we’ll definitely be back.
Great seats for a great price … game was high energy
my experience at 76ers game was amazing. My son could not stop smiling. He loved the mascot overall I couldn’t be any happier taking my son to his first basketball game. but the best part was seeing his face when the 76ers won.
Absolutely awesome, great seats and entering the Wells Far Center was a great experience utilizing my digital tickets.
The police around the building are terrible at directing traffic. They were making us go opposite ways then we had to but was letting some people go. One of the police officers guided us to a turn that took us back on the parkway that took 15 minutes for us to make it back around. At that point we were late, we scanned in and showed our parking pass, guy told us to make this right and the first left and that’s our parking lot, nice and close to the entrance. As soon as we move up and start turning right the guy says we can’t go right and we have to make a left. He brought us into a parking lot that was way further than we were supposed to be in. We missed the first 6 minutes of the game. It was a great experience once we got there but everything else was terrible
From Italy to Philly only for 76ers! It was amazing! I love NBA!!
Tickets and parking were easy to buy. All around fun family night out. Great shows throughout game. TV cam, tee shirt throw, and other events. Will go again. I really like the updates during the Phillies game next door vs Atlanta on TV cam.
Great experience the venue is upgraded and have a “new” feel. Event staff is so helpful and friendly! On the downside… 2 slices of pizza and 2 beers… $65 🤯
I've been to 150+ NBA games with my service dog with half of those attending for the away team. Never up until this game have I had someone get down in my dogs face and bark at him or scream at him. Arena staff were completely fine with this happening too.
76ers blew it in Philly against the Celtics! It was awesome! Tatum put on a show against the 76ers whose last championship came in 1983! Tough scene! But great game. Can’t wait to go again when the Cs are in town to show them real basketball!
Tickets were easy to purchase and no hassle!! Seats were fantastic and me and my son had a great time!!
Great communication on how to commute to the center. The information for parking and accessing the center was clearly unstable. My only letdown was that Sixers couldn’t win at the time.
I purchase these tickets a few days before the event I was so thrilled to get a single ticket 20 rose from the floor perfect seats the people around me were people that worked there were even more awesome they were amazing they're always great there I love them And on top of it all my 76ers won. Go Sixers.
Paid a good amount of money and drive nearly 2 hours to sit in the lower level and take my son to a playoff game, only to have the person in front of me rudely stand the entire game blocking my view, ended up standing up top with security to have a clear view of the court. Disappointment for sure
The assembly room is a great idea but you get what you paid for. A Bunch of underage kids drunk and obnoxious and seemingly getting away with it: I won’t be cheap and buy real seats for my family if six next time My Sixers came alive in second half tjo!
The section was great however ,it’s not properly secured. There are really no seats in the section I chose being as though it’s a wheelchair accessible section and people were still coming in our section standing next to us randomly.. Everything was great with the exception of people coming in and out of the section whenever they wanted due to being non secured
