WINNER OF 5 TONY AWARDS®!

PETER AND THE STARCATCHER, the most magical evening of madcap fun is now on tour!  Hailed by The New York Times as "THE MOST EXHILARATING STORYTELLING ON BROADWAY IN DECADES," this musical play takes a hilarious romp through the Neverland you never knew.  The winner of 5 Tony Awards®, this swashbuckling prequel to Peter Pan will have you hooked from the moment you let your imagination take flight.

PETER AND THE STARCATCHER  is the innovative and imaginative musical  play based on the best-selling Disney-Hyperion novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson.  A company of twelve actors plays more than a hundred unforgettable characters, all on a journey to answer the century-old question: How did Peter Pan become The Boy Who Never Grew Up?  This epic origin story of popular culture’s most enduring and beloved character proves that your imagination is the most captivating place in the world.

    Peter was creative and awesome!!!

by AreAllTheNamesTaken on 4/23/12Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

The cast was fantastic, and clearly enjoyed the show as much, if not more, than we did. The set and stage directions were extremely inventive and creative. I would see this again and I've been telling everyone to go. It was fantastic!

    stacather a boring play.............

by starbabylittleman on 4/22/12Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

Horrible................A very long first act that really was rather boring. Second half picked up a little but not enough to make an exciting new play..I was soooo disapointed...

Our entire family loved Peter and the Starcatcher!

by Labcoug on 4/21/12Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

It was unanimous; everyone in our family voted Peter and the Starcatcher as the best part of our trip to NYC. Clever and engaging, appropriate for all audiences (we have a girl and two boys, ages 14, 11 and 9). Extremely well written and the actors were amazing Don't miss it!

If You Loved the Books Skip the Show

by Reader58 on 4/20/12Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

The show bears little resemblance to the books and has none of the magic and charm that Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson put into the stories. The pacing is frenetic. The cast is constantly working; therefore trying to connect with the narrative and actors is difficult. Parents who are not ready to explain a cross-dressing nanny named Mrs. Bumbrake, or parents who are not ready to explain how two men could be attracted to one another will want to avoid this show. It's really not kid-friendly for those kids who are still sheltered. That said, my 17-year old didn't like it at all and we both couldn't wait for intermission to arrive.

    Peter and the Starcatcher

by cilla on 4/20/12Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

Sorry but did not think this lived up to reviews. Certainly not a good choice for children-with all the snide asides and crude meanings and "gay" nanny. I took my ten year old granddaughter-she got some of it and some of the jokes like "time for bed-Pan" ridiculous. Some clever things done with ropes etc. and may have come off a bit better in small off-broadway production. Also after all the "tongue in cheek" and strange doings to have the very END come back to the original with Wendy going home to "grow up" and Peter remaining a boy had no connection to the weird goings on before. Also could have benefited from more music. Would certainly not recommend-I'll stick with the original!!

    Peter and the Starcatcher

by SHOWMOM2 on 4/20/12Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

Excellent show - think Peter Pan meets Monty Python. Although this is based on a YA book, this is not meant for kids. A lot of adult humor but very funny and outrageous. Worth seeing!!!!

    highly entertaining!

by spkm on 4/19/12Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

This show was a hit for both the adults and kids (8 and 12) in our family. The best of Dave Barry's humour from the book was cleverly translated to the stage, along with ingenious sets and clever musical numbers. Black Stag really stole the show, but everyone was terrific. We highly recommend it!

    Fabulous!

by lebowski on 4/19/12Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

Clever, hilarious and fast moving. Equally enjoyable for kids and adults. I usually flinch when I hear that, but this one truly satisfies both audiences. We're avid theatre goers (former casting agent) and have a high bar. I would actually go again tomorrow!
