Peppa Pig on Tour

Since debuting in 2004, Peppa Pig has become the most famous snout in children's entertainment this side of Miss Piggy. For many toddlers, the British cartoon series is their first binge-watching obsession, thanks to its simple yet colorful animation, bite-sized, five-minute storylines (sample episode title: "Muddy Puddles" — and yes, it's about nothing more than jumping in muddy puddles), and straightforward dialogue that even a three-year-old can easily follow. And for parents, the sound of precocious Peppa, her tantrum-prone little brother George, their bumbling Daddy, and mild-mannered Mommy cackling together at the end of each episode has become so omnipresent, it's as if a whole ‘nother family of relatives has moved into the house. Like most successful children's franchises, Peppa Pig is a merchandising machine, and has spawned offshoot books, films, and even its own amusement park in the U.K. And in recent years, Peppa has stepped off the little screen and onto the big stage in Peppa Pig's Surprise! This live theatrical spectacular re-creates Peppa's world with the help of large life-sized puppets on wheels, costumed characters, and a cheerful headset-sporting host named Daisy who guides you through this pastoral fantasyland. You'll see Peppa partaking in her favorite activities — like going on road trips with her family, meeting with the beloved Mr. Potato, and enjoying a bubble bath after another glorious day spent splashing in the mud puddles. But Peppa Pig's Surprise! differs from the TV show in a significant way: It's a musical experience, with Daisy leading Peppa and friends through a series of boisterous song-and-dance numbers. Oh, and there's another big difference between Peppa Pig's Surprise! and its cartoon counterpart: You can't just watch it slumped in your seat like you would at home during a marathon TV session. This is a highly interactive experience, with Daisy encouraging the kids in the crowd to sing, dance, and play along. Just pretend the theater floor below your feet is a muddy puddle and get hopping.

  • Disappointing

    by Jessica W. on 11/22/23Tennessee Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 2 out of 5

My kids were SO excited to see Peppa Pig and friends and, although Peppa was there and they liked that, the show seemed short with the same songs being sung in the second half as the first half. In fact, my son fell asleep! Overall, I would not recommend seeing this show.

  • Peppa Pig

The cast did an excellent job but the show was a little boring. My son wanted to leave 20 minutes into the show.

  • Not worth the price. Kind of boring

I went to see paw patrol and that was so good they had set changes and you could tell some money went into that. This was 30 mins in before there was a 20 min break for no reason. It was so expensive and the pics was standing in front of a cube and not even being able to interact with the pepper pig. It was crazy for the price. There were no set changes and the screen was low quality. Everything was just low quality. I feel like i was taken advantage of after it and paying hundreds. Not good.

  • My sons first play

by Ife on 11/16/23DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - DurhamRating: 5 out of 5

I took my 2 year old son to see the show, he literally jumped out of his seat to dance and sing along. It was fun it kept both of us engaged I loved it and so did he!

  • 4 yr old daughter loved it!!

by Adleigh on 11/12/23Embassy Theatre - Fort WayneRating: 5 out of 5

My daughter loved every second of it. As an adult, I thought it was maybe 15 minutes too long. All the characters did great. Seeing my daughter have such a great time made it all worthwhile!

  • Expensive seats, expensive items

by Mavis on 11/12/23Goodyear Theater - AkronRating: 3 out of 5

Seats were way overpriced. Man selling souvenirs gave us a hassle about returning a broken toy. .25 Fritos for $3.00. Usher was touching toddlers to get them back in seats when they were being encouraged by the stage performers to dance with them.

  • A blast

by Boy mama on 11/10/23Fisher Theatre - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

My son had a true blast. The show was very interactive and the songs had him up and dancing throughout the entire show.

  • Just Ok

by Nicole on 11/10/23Fisher Theatre - DetroitRating: 3 out of 5

Cute songs, but the characters didn't look veery lifelike, they were having issues with the sound, and didn't seem to keep ids attention.

  • Don’t waste your money!

by Gma on 11/10/23Fisher Theatre - DetroitRating: 1 out of 5

Peppa Pig Sing Along was horrible! The sound system keep crackling. The character’s mics worked part of the time. They would have to go to the side of the stage and get handheld microphones. When they were holding the microphones they had an hard time moving the characters around the stage. Even my 5 year old granddaughter didn’t like it, and she watches Peppa Pig all the time.

  • Super cute!! Costumes need improvement.

by JT on 11/10/23Clowes Memorial Hall - IndianapolisRating: 4 out of 5

This was super cute. The actors and actresses were amazing. To make it feel more real and live the actors and actresses need to actually be in the costume. Pushing the characters around and both human and character talking are very confusing and distracting to little kids and even adults. This is a much needed improvement.

  • Disappointed

by Disappointed grandma on 11/9/23Fisher Theatre - DetroitRating: 2 out of 5

Show: first half cute but a 20 minute intermission and a rehashed second half of same songs lost most kids attention. The crowd was definitely checked out and restless. Venue: not equipped for child show. No kid appropriate snacks and water was Voss.

  • Fantastic family fun experience!

Perfect for 4 year old children to attend. Interactive and fun.

  • Wonderful afternoon

by Rerun on 11/8/23Fisher Theatre - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

The Peppa pig sing a long was just what my family ordered. Not only were the children having a wonderful time, the adults enjoyed singing along. Thank you for your giving of time and talent to entertain everyone.

  • Good Family Show

by Lauren Johnson on 11/8/23Fisher Theatre - DetroitRating: 4 out of 5

It’s very well done and energetic. Could have used a few more of the big Peppa hits!

  • Not great

Quality was bad, the actors were more of the focus then the characters, stage props could’ve been better mic was messing up a lot couldn’t hear characters at all. The intermission was way tooo long

  • Peppa

by Charles on 11/3/23Arizona Financial Theatre - PhoenixRating: 4 out of 5

Everything was great except for you guys didn’t leave the Peppa backdrop in the lobby open long enough. We wanted to get a picture after the show and they were already put away. More merchandise options would’ve been better also.

  • Perfect for 2 year old

by Mom of pepp fan on 10/30/23Peoria Civic Center - PeoriaRating: 5 out of 5

What an amazing and fun experience! My 2 year old ran into the building yelling Peppa pig! Peppa pig! The show was engaging and fun. They actors interacted with the audience and had the kids up and doing dance moves and helping them sing songs. The length before and after the 20 minute intermission kept my toddlers attention. It really was the most magical night for my little girl. She loved it and we loved the memories! Definitely a night we won't forget. Thanks so much Peppa Pig Live can't wait to see you again!
