The Sanger theater is a jewel in downtown Pensacola. The performance was a wonderful blend of modern and classical composers. I’ll go again next year.
The symphony was a great show, however the seats are smaller than airplane seats and are in serious updating.
Beautiful old theater, nice crowd, excellent acoustics, seats are pretty small (but you get that in old theaters...people were smaller back in the day, my first symphony and I really enjoyed it. If you go to Saenger Theater have dinner at Iron restaurant - fantastic food, great service, and 2 block walk to theater.
excellent selection of music for the venue and musicians.
I enjoyed the whole experience. The pianist was fabulous. I would surely go again.
Absolutely enjoyed a totally different kind of night. Pure quality performance with lots of energy.
This was the perfect event to celebrate Valentine's Day with my sweetheart! It was the first time attending a PSO event and our first time at the theater...but, it will not be the last! :)
Just the facts: Good sound, pleasant atmosphere, helpful staff.
We had a great time welcoming in the new year with the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra. They are all remarkable musicians and the show was great.
This show was top notch! I am always in awe of watching live symphonies and this was no exception. Hearing classics from Hollywood really transports you to the movies, it was absolutely amazing. THEN the characters appeared on stage to add that little extra more. 20/10 would recommend!
The concert was great, fantastic selections of music and even though we were in the very last row at the tip top of the theater, the sound and the view were amazing!
PSO gave a stellar performance. My only complaint is the seats in the Pensacola Saenger Theatre are narrow with very shallow leg room for someone over 6 feet tall.
It was our anniversary so we thought we would give the symphony a try. We are so happy that we did. We loved every minute of the performance. The staff assisting with the seating were ever so kind and helpful. We will be attending again soon.
First: Security was first rate. We felt safe within the theater. Every entrance and exit was covered. We had to pass through metal detectors to enter. Once inside there was a music lecture up stairs. It was boring to put it mildly. Once seated in the main theater the conductor thought we needed another lecture. Could have done without that. Once the music started everyone was respectful and quiet. The orchestra gave a wonderful performance. They received a standing ovation from the audience at the end. I liked everything but the lectures.
Great collection of music and well performed. Sound was well balanced.
Selections covered several decades and were very pleasant to listen to. Would recommend that film clips accompany the performance. .
Ticket Master said the theater didn't accept printed tickets so you had to have a cell phone. That was a bunch of bull I took a picture of the tickets and printed them and they were accepted no problem.
Every single time we attend the Sanger we always are delighted. This was no exception.
The show itself was incredible, Tony and his band as well as the pop orchestra backing the performance was nothing less than spectacular. Other a seating arrangement mix up and no leg room, I was thoroughly impressed with an almost sold out event. I would do it again in an instant. Thanks very a joyful New Years concert to all involved!
