Tellers slight of hand was amazing. Even when Penn was telling you what was going on, you still had a hard time figuring how some things were done. Could have been longer.

Penn & Teller On Tour
Not exactly comedians but more than just magicians, Penn & Teller bring a quirky combination of laughs and illusions to every performance. You're ready to laugh before they even trot out their tricks, with the big, brash Penn Jillette towering over his staid, unspeaking partner Teller. And once they dip into the bag of tricks they've been perfecting since the 1970s, you're simultaneously dazzled and delighted. Whether they're working with things like magic bullets, nail guns, and straitjackets, or just employing a seemingly ordinary deck of cards to demonstrate some sleight of hand, the duo can make you doubt your own senses as they appear to make the impossible happen right before your eyes. Sometimes they toss a touch of danger into the mix, and sometimes they simply play the whole thing for laughs, but whatever illusion they're unveiling, Penn & Teller can always pull it off.
Penn & Teller Background
America's most famous magic/comedy duo actually started out as a trio in the '70s, but when third member Weir Chrisemer left in 1981, Penn Jillette and Raymond Teller (who has always gone by just his surname) continued on together, and it was then that their star began to rise. With TV appearances on such shows as Late Night With David Letterman and Saturday Night Live, a series of Broadway shows, and their own Emmy-winning special on PBS, Penn & Teller carved out a niche in show business and became household names in the process. In the years that followed, they became TV personalities in their own right, first with a Showtime series and then with Fool Us on the CW. They've earned their own star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. They've appeared in music videos by Run-DMC and Katy Perry. They've established a record-breaking residency in Las Vegas. And throughout all of these accomplishments, Penn & Teller have shown that a big, loud guy and a small, silent guy can make people gasp and guffaw at the same time.

Penn & Teller Amaze
by ReillyR on 6/11/12The Venue at Horseshoe Casino - HammondRating: 5 out of 5The stage show and illusions were amazing! I would love to see them next time they travel back to my area and be sure to book tickets to their show if I travel to Vegas.
Best Show I've ever seen!
by link8822 on 6/11/12Harrah's Resort Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5Screw TV or Movies. This show was sooooo much better. Do NOT assume you know what 'magic shows' are like if you've never seen Penn & Teller. Rather than diminishing their act to mere puzzles (like a lot of magicians do), Penn & Teller really make you ask "Why?". "Why?" in the sense of why they chose to put these effects in their acts. It was very enriching & delightful to ponder the meanings they were trying to convey through each act. Live entertainment is what this world needs more of. And Penn & Teller are among the best in live entertainment. They also always hang out after the show for autograph's and pictures. They're some of the nicest people I've ever met...I remember once referring to Penn as "a modern day Buddha", which doesn't come across as your first impression. But the more you learn about him, the more you see his compassion ooze out.

Excellent show!
by Anonymous on 6/11/12The Venue at Horseshoe Casino - HammondRating: 4 out of 5Excellent show! Penn & Teller are always funny and extremely talented magicians. Sadly, they didn't perform their famous "magic bullet" trick at this show. Otherwise, it was great!
Great Show
by NONE123 on 6/11/12The Venue at Horseshoe Casino - HammondRating: 5 out of 5I have been a fan for a while. They are intelligent, they are cleaver, and they are true showmen. Yes, there is a trick and everything can be explained but the execution was flawless. They were funny, they really appreciate their fans, they do not have the big egos and superiority attatitude of many performers. At the end of the show the ran to the back of the theater to meet the audience. They were there to take pictures, shake hands, and sign autographs. These guys get it! The go the extra mile, they do not charge obscene amounts for the show (I paid $35), they do not only meet and greet the suckers who pay $200-500 for the honor. The show itself was incredible. Yes there is a trick but how they do it how they hide it how smooth the performance was demonstrates their genius. First they think up the trick, then practice practice, practice, then pull it off in a theater full of people, that is the talent and the genius. They bring back that wonderous 8 year old kid in all of us who always looked at things and ask "how does that work, how did they do that? Wow." Great show I would see them again anytime!
Penn & Teller was a big disappointment
by Sonshine327 on 6/11/12The Venue at Horseshoe Casino - HammondRating: 2 out of 5My boyfriend and I were very excited to see Penn and Teller at Horseshoe Casino, but were very disappointed throughout the entire show. The show started about 15 minutes late and a lot of the tricks they performed were very easy to figure out. There was nothing intriguing and if we couldn't figure it out, they actually explained how they did it after the trick! Very disappointing. Penn and Teller both went out into the lobby aftewards for pictures, autographs, and handshakes, but the crowd was so thick, we couldn't make it close enough. We felt that the $50+/ticket we spent was a rip off. We did hear afterwards that Penn was very sick and they came very close to cancelling the show, so maybe they change the show to accomodate the illness?

Excellent show! What was even more amazing is that both Penn & Teller stayed afterward to meet all the guests. The area was hot and cramped, but they were still smiling and genuinely having a good time!
Penn & Teller: Hysterically Human
by ScotWitt on 6/11/12The Venue at Horseshoe Casino - HammondRating: 5 out of 5I've been following these consummate artists for years and first had an opportunity too see them at the "Venue" at Horseshoe Casino in Hammond,IN (1. "The Venue," about as narcissistic as all the 'Trump' holdings and in Hammond frickin' Indiana? Whose state troopers seem to have KKK robes in the trunk of their cars?). I was howling woith laughter at the satire, amazed at seeing Teller's sleight of hand in person for the first time.and seeing Penn run through his gamut of sarcasm, jokes and poignancy. Smart guys. Great Show. See it someplace else. The Horseshoe has the absolute worst crowd control I've seen, and that includes football Saturday in Lincoln, NE, The decoration was Early Las Vegas Mafia and that parking garage seems to be a vertical slide you'd see in a scary water park. The Buffet was the same fare you get at any all you can eat buffet and the $15 charge was $10 too high for the quality.

Just a Comment
by OgreMan on 6/11/12The Venue at Horseshoe Casino - HammondRating: 5 out of 5Many of their tricks in this big, big auditorium involves small, small items like needles and cards. I sat very far back, and found many things difficult to see - and yes my eyesight is not too good. But it was a great show and I loved it.
