Penn & Teller On Tour

Not exactly comedians but more than just magicians, Penn & Teller bring a quirky combination of laughs and illusions to every performance. You're ready to laugh before they even trot out their tricks, with the big, brash Penn Jillette towering over his staid, unspeaking partner Teller. And once they dip into the bag of tricks they've been perfecting since the 1970s, you're simultaneously dazzled and delighted. Whether they're working with things like magic bullets, nail guns, and straitjackets, or just employing a seemingly ordinary deck of cards to demonstrate some sleight of hand, the duo can make you doubt your own senses as they appear to make the impossible happen right before your eyes. Sometimes they toss a touch of danger into the mix, and sometimes they simply play the whole thing for laughs, but whatever illusion they're unveiling, Penn & Teller can always pull it off.

Penn & Teller Background

America's most famous magic/comedy duo actually started out as a trio in the '70s, but when third member Weir Chrisemer left in 1981, Penn Jillette and Raymond Teller (who has always gone by just his surname) continued on together, and it was then that their star began to rise. With TV appearances on such shows as Late Night With David Letterman and Saturday Night Live, a series of Broadway shows, and their own Emmy-winning special on PBS, Penn & Teller carved out a niche in show business and became household names in the process. In the years that followed, they became TV personalities in their own right, first with a Showtime series and then with Fool Us on the CW. They've earned their own star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. They've appeared in music videos by Run-DMC and Katy Perry. They've established a record-breaking residency in Las Vegas. And throughout all of these accomplishments, Penn & Teller have shown that a big, loud guy and a small, silent guy can make people gasp and guffaw at the same time.

  • Fabulously entertaining evening

by Donna LPG on 5/20/24Sound Waves at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Penn & Teller were fabulous. Penn's banter kept us going all evening. The magic was amazing including the final card trick with the audience. I know they've done this show a million times but it felt so fresh - P&T were so enthusiastic and so seemingly into it. My only complaint would be the seats in the Hard Rock arena which were super uncomfortable and the location meant that I was in constant dodge mode of the guy in front of me who moved his head every 10 seconds.

Entertaining, funny and of course magical Lived up to expectations and we are still left wondering “how the heck did they do that?”

Penn and Teller never grow old! They have proven themselves over-and-over to be one of the best magic acts ever! This tour is more of a magic-comedy act with more close-up magic with interspersed comedy, and less big routines. Highly recommended to everyone! Enjoy these legends before it’s too late!

  • Mystifying

by pammijohn on 5/19/24Sound Waves at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

I was fortunate enough to get on stage and be a part of one of the presentations. I am completely mystified as to how the magic was performed. Really amazing stuff. Drove from Willow Grove, Pa to NYC on a previous occasion to see Penn & Teller and drove to Atlantic City to see them this time. Worth the trip both times. Truly entertaining magic!

  • Great show as always

by Jackie on 5/19/24Sound Waves at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

The show was a great mix of new and classic Penn and Teller. The tricks were sharp and "how did they do that?"worthy. Truly enjoyable. I only wish they had done a meet and greet afterwards as they sometimes do.

  • Penn & Teller are fantastic!

by Ross on 5/19/24Sound Waves at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

It was well worth the effort it took to drive from Philadelphia, PA to Atlantic City to see Penn & Teller perform. I hope to see Penn & Teller at another live performance again some sometime in the near future.

  • Great Show

by DD on 5/19/24Sound Waves at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

The show was fantastic. This was our first time seeing them and they didn’t disappoint. Was nice to see them at Sound Waves in AC which is a smaller venue. The only thing they could have done was show the stage up on the 2 large screens on both sides of the stage for the audience. We were sitting a few rows back in the upper section and it was a little hard to see some of the less dramatic tricks. Those screens just showed the Penn and Teller logo or ads.

  • Fun Show

A lot of audience involvement, very entertaining, and one of the best experiences during our weekend in Vegas.

  • Don't Miss it!

If you are headed to Vegas and have an opportunity to see Penn & Teller, DO IT! They are truly masters of their craft. The show was laugh out loud funny with great audience participation. I can honestly say it was one of the best performances I have seen. Excellent for all ages as well. My 16 year old had a blast!

  • Top show

by Britinvegas on 5/14/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Superb. Everything I wanted after being a fan for about 35 years. And I got on stage! Great seats in an intimate venue. Well worth the price. Highly recommend.

  • Fun Show, Lots of Repetitive Built Up Preface

by Andrew on 5/14/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

A few tricks had the same, drawn out, "as you can tell it's completely random people from the audience"message that kept being reiterated. The tricks were great themselves, the jokes and wittiness are as expected from Penn - not necessarily a kids show, I'd say 10+. They've been performing for over 40 years, worthwhile to see them.

  • Amazing show!

by Melanie on 5/13/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

Loved the Penn and Teller show! Would’ve been 5 stars, but my own fault - should’ve chosen the lower bowl/section of seating to be able to participate in the show and the crowd work that they do! Highly recommend this show for everyone.

  • Great show

From watching Penn playing the bass pre-show, to the show itself, a great night. The magic was smart, the banter was funny and the whole experience was great.

  • That Bloody Piano player

by Paul Johnston on 5/12/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

The show in general is entertaining, decent show - certainly not in the David Copperfield area of magic but I’ve loved them for years & it was good to see them both - bUT we had seats to the right of the stage looking at the stage - there’s a bloody piano player who plays while they are performing (in parts) BUT me & my wife lost all dialogue during the playing so was annoying - we complained to the guy in the theatre & he said he’s not there throughout the show just small parts of it? If it was meant to be background music - they failed miserably! Apart from this a decent show!

  • Great show

Penn and Teller were great! I loved that they used almost half the audience for tricks throughout the show.

  • Amazing

by Julia on 5/12/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

This show was so worth the money! I sat in section 2, row L, seat 11--the distance was great (I could see the detail in their faces) and was seated on the center of the stage. Fabulous opportunities to interact in the show. Penn and Teller seem down to Earth and are, of course, hilarious. Their magic is mind blowing and entertaining. Please go, it was amazing!
