Penn & Teller On Tour
Not exactly comedians but more than just magicians, Penn & Teller bring a quirky combination of laughs and illusions to every performance. You're ready to laugh before they even trot out their tricks, with the big, brash Penn Jillette towering over his staid, unspeaking partner Teller. And once they dip into the bag of tricks they've been perfecting since the 1970s, you're simultaneously dazzled and delighted. Whether they're working with things like magic bullets, nail guns, and straitjackets, or just employing a seemingly ordinary deck of cards to demonstrate some sleight of hand, the duo can make you doubt your own senses as they appear to make the impossible happen right before your eyes. Sometimes they toss a touch of danger into the mix, and sometimes they simply play the whole thing for laughs, but whatever illusion they're unveiling, Penn & Teller can always pull it off.
Penn & Teller Background
America's most famous magic/comedy duo actually started out as a trio in the '70s, but when third member Weir Chrisemer left in 1981, Penn Jillette and Raymond Teller (who has always gone by just his surname) continued on together, and it was then that their star began to rise. With TV appearances on such shows as Late Night With David Letterman and Saturday Night Live, a series of Broadway shows, and their own Emmy-winning special on PBS, Penn & Teller carved out a niche in show business and became household names in the process. In the years that followed, they became TV personalities in their own right, first with a Showtime series and then with Fool Us on the CW. They've earned their own star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. They've appeared in music videos by Run-DMC and Katy Perry. They've established a record-breaking residency in Las Vegas. And throughout all of these accomplishments, Penn & Teller have shown that a big, loud guy and a small, silent guy can make people gasp and guffaw at the same time.
Show just ok. Love Foxwoods, great food, beautiful facilities.
So I’m a big fan of magic thought Penn Teller would do a magic show we saw a couple older tricks I guess maybe one or two the rest had to do with the crowd adding numbers in balloons and things that didn’t make sense would like to actually see some magic magicians Just saying
Fun show in a good venue. Had a lot of laughs! Very enjoyable.
This show was just as entertaining as the ones I have seen at The Rio. The only drawback was how the stage lights shined right at the audience, and you had to watch the monitors to see clearly.
They had 6 spotlights on stage shining up into the balcony, right into our eyes. We could not see the stage and we could barely see tv screens to watch the show. It was a totally unpleasant experience.
Penn and Teller were as advertised, fun and raucous, great tricks and audience participation.
Worth the ticket cost. Both the venue and performance were both excellent. Penn and Teller are just as great to watch live as they are on TV. My mind is still mystified at their magic. I would happily see them again.
If you've seen P & T on TV, then you already know about their talents. The show was hilarious and had a constant pace between sets. I certainly hope they return soon.
Good show. Enjoyable. I saw them in Vegas a couple of times. This show was very good, but the Vegas shows felt grander due to more elaborate set pieces maybe… but venue at Foxwoods was great. Easy in and easy exit.
Fantastic show!!!! Truly Amazing Loved it! I would definitely recommend seeing this show The audience was involved When they did the trick at the end wit the four cards it truly blew my mind Everyone’s cards matched How it that possible Truly amazing!!!
They are true entertainers!! Amazing showmanship!! Great connection to the audience ...... Great show!!
Penn & Teller are good magicians that can be humorous. If you are a follower of Penn & Teller Fool Us, you've already seen most of these tricks, but they are quite good. The show is definitely family-friendly. If you are looking for the old bloody Penn & Teller, it appears they are no more. I did expect the show to be edgier than their TV show.
My husband and I watch fool us so it was so cool to be able to see they in person. Their magic was awesome their stage presence is great. We love a good magic show and Penn is hilarious.
What a wonderfully entertaining show! Penn is such a captivating speaker! And of course, they are both fabulous magicians! I would totally recommend this show to anyone considering it.
Love them! Tricks blew me away! Especially, the audience finally!
Show was funny & interesting. The magic tricks were very good
Good guys were fun but magic was averaged. Didn’t see anything spectacular was definitely not. A Vegas act was definitely more like a backyard party was fun to see a bit expensive for the don’t need to see you again.
Penn and Teller were fantastic. Their acts left you amazed. Seating in the venue was extremely tight and uncomfortable. The room was very warm from all the bodies.
Was more disappointed with the Venue than the actual show. Although, I wish there was more “Newer” material. Also… the use of “Obvious” audience “Assistants” was overly evident. The Venue was not up to the standards that should have been afforded such a “Widely Popular Act”.
Penn and Teller are Goats. They put on one of the magic shows Ive every witnessed. Very crowd interactive as well. Im glad I got to see them and will try to see them again
