Patton Oswalt continues to leave his distinctive imprint across all areas of entertainment, from his award-winning comedy specials to his many guest roles on television. His most recent comedy special We All Scream (which also marked his directorial debut) launched on Netflix last September and Oswalt was recently nominated for a Grammy for his comedy album. Last year, he starred in the Magnolia Pictures comedy I Love My Dad, winner of the Grand Jury and Audience awards at the 2022 SXSW Film Festival.
Oswalt was nominated for a Critics Choice Award for his performance in Jason Reitman's film Young Adult, starring opposite Charlize Theron. In 2009, he also received critical acclaim for his performance in Robert Siegel's Big Fan; the film was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award and Oswalt earned a Gotham Award nomination for his performance.
Oswalt has appeared in many films, including The Circle, alongside Tom Hanks, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and Zoolander, both directed by Ben Stiller, Steven Soderbergh's The Informant with Matt Damon, and alongside Seth Rogen in Jody Hill's Observe and Report, as well as Paul Thomas Anderson's Magnolia and Todd Phillips' Starsky and Hutch.
Oswalt's past television work includes memorable roles on Parks and Recreation, which brought him a TV Critics Choice Award, A.P. Bio, Veep, United States of Tara, Seinfeld (his TV acting debut), and many more. He is also very well known for playing 'Spence' on The King of Queens for nine seasons. Oswalt is also the narrator on ABC's hit comedy The Goldbergs. He provided the voice for 'Remy' the rat in Pixar's Oscar® winner Ratatouille, and his other voice credits include 'Max' in The Secret Life of Pets 2, Sorry To Bother You, the SYFY series Happy!, Rick and Morty, Archer, and BoJack Horseman.
In 2020, Oswalt's Emmy nominated Netflix special I Love Everything was widely applauded upon release, and he received a Grammy nomination for his comedy album of the same name. In 2017, he received Grammy and Emmy nominations for his album and Netflix special Annihilation, which addresses his own devastating loss and dealing with the unexplainable, while making it all painfully funny. In 2016, he won the Emmy for 'Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special' for his sixth comedy special Talking for Clapping and a Grammy Award in 2017 for his comedy album. He has been nominated for a total of six Grammys and four Emmys. Oswalt has shot eight TV specials and released seven critically acclaimed albums -- in 2009, Patton received his first Grammy nomination for his album My Weakness Is Strong.

Easy to find. We had great seating and the staff was very helpful
Great show, opening act was funny. Patton Oswald was hilarious but the fold down chairs touching the next chair over left absolutely no room to sit. Scrunched is an understatement. Next time take the original seats and save 20 bucks
Enjoyed Patton-was a great show! The Palace was amazing and Patton put on a great act-very funny!
Patton and Orlando provided a nice evening out. Orlando was fantastic and Patton was good. They were both entertaining so we had a good time.
Patton was awesome. Did 1 hour on a Sunday night. Perfect amount of time.
His set was hilarious, especially when he starts talking about hipster vegan food and biblical stories. He even called me out during the show, asking about me, as part of the show and called me a hero because I work as a nurse. I left leaving with difficulty breathing because of his dark set being insanely funny and feeling great that a comedy idol I've watched for many years was kind to me. I will remember it for a lifetime.
Unfortunately, his opening act was too blue for me & my friends. Witty guy, but, beyond perverse.
Really enjoyed both comedians the only downside was the seating, CRAMPED! I guess that’s how they squeeze ever dollar out of the audience.
The Fillmore is a great venue for comics! Patton Oswalt and the opener were hilarious!
Enjoyed Patton’s act. Seating had drawbacks, we had a mezzanine table and two venue staff members stood just behind us talking loudly for the duration of the performance, making it had to clearly hear the show.
Patton was his usual sharp & funny. His opening riff about Waukegan was really dope. Enjoyed a great night at the Genesee Theater.
Patton Oswalt was hit or miss. He had his moments that would crack me up, but not the entire show. I'll tell you what though, the opener was on point. He had me cracking up the entire time! Overall, it was a great show!!!!
Patton Oswalt was fabulous. Laughed every minute! His opening act was excellent too. Had a great time!
My first time seeing Patton live. He was sooo funny. The comedian who opened for Patton was very funny. I think his name was Ron. That guy has a future too. Can’t wait for Patton to return to Chicago.
Probably the best comedy show I’ve ever been to. I’d love to see him again
Patton does not disappoint. He had us laughing from the moment he walked on stage to the moment he left. Very articulate and thoughtful comedy. My husband NEVER laughed so hard!
Patton is one of my favorites, and he’s just as much fun live! Will always splurge to see him.
He was delightful. I will go see him again when he comes back through town.
Patton has an amazing gift for explaining the observations and thoughts of me and my husband. We just had a conversation about the almond milk 2 days before his show. The things he chooses to write about and the way he describes them are unparalleled in comedy. Yeah and we loved the crazy steampunk church setting (even though it was from a current production at the theater)
