About

Patton Oswalt continues to leave his distinctive imprint across all areas of entertainment, from his award-winning comedy specials to his many guest roles on television. His most recent comedy special We All Scream (which also marked his directorial debut) launched on Netflix last September and Oswalt was recently nominated for a Grammy for his comedy album. Last year, he starred in the Magnolia Pictures comedy I Love My Dad, winner of the Grand Jury and Audience awards at the 2022 SXSW Film Festival.

Oswalt was nominated for a Critics Choice Award for his performance in Jason Reitman's film Young Adult, starring opposite Charlize Theron. In 2009, he also received critical acclaim for his performance in Robert Siegel's Big Fan; the film was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award and Oswalt earned a Gotham Award nomination for his performance.

Oswalt has appeared in many films, including The Circle, alongside Tom Hanks, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and Zoolander, both directed by Ben Stiller, Steven Soderbergh's The Informant with Matt Damon, and alongside Seth Rogen in Jody Hill's Observe and Report, as well as Paul Thomas Anderson's Magnolia and Todd Phillips' Starsky and Hutch.

Oswalt's past television work includes memorable roles on Parks and Recreation, which brought him a TV Critics Choice Award, A.P. Bio, Veep, United States of Tara, Seinfeld (his TV acting debut), and many more. He is also very well known for playing 'Spence' on The King of Queens for nine seasons. Oswalt is also the narrator on ABC's hit comedy The Goldbergs.  He provided the voice for 'Remy' the rat in Pixar's Oscar® winner Ratatouille, and his other voice credits include 'Max' in The Secret Life of Pets 2, Sorry To Bother You, the SYFY series Happy!, Rick and Morty, Archer, and BoJack Horseman.

In 2020, Oswalt's Emmy nominated Netflix special I Love Everything was widely applauded upon release, and he received a Grammy nomination for his comedy album of the same name. In 2017, he received Grammy and Emmy nominations for his album and Netflix special Annihilation, which addresses his own devastating loss and dealing with the unexplainable, while making it all painfully funny.  In 2016, he won the Emmy for 'Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special' for his sixth comedy special Talking for Clapping and a Grammy Award in 2017 for his comedy album. He has been nominated for a total of six Grammys and four Emmys. Oswalt has shot eight TV specials and released seven critically acclaimed albums -- in 2009, Patton received his first Grammy nomination for his album My Weakness Is Strong.

  • Excellent Show and Venue

    by ChrisO58 on 10/5/21Tabernacle - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Loved the intimate venue and extremely accommodating staff. Patton and Co were excellent but the experience made it that much more. Only critique is better adult beverage choices that what is available.

  • Good but that laugh

by Adam on 10/5/21Tabernacle - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

I’m an avid fan of Patton. So he was good, but was overshadowed by the horrendous laugh of the lady behind us. When I say it was bad, I mean it was sooo bad. I’ve dealt with bad laughs before but really never had a show ruined by one. Literally got up after halfway thru the show to go stand in the back. It was actually more enjoyable that way.

  • Fun night

by Suzeenboozee on 10/5/21Tabernacle - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

I had never seen Patton Oswalts stand up routine before, always saw the big stars, Seinfeld, Rock, Chapelle, etc so I didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the show very much. The opening acts were great also. Great venue too!

  • Fine performance, poor health compliance

by Mr Matt on 10/5/21Tabernacle - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

Patton Oswalt gave a fine funny performance. The audience and staff were a different matter. The vast majority of them were not wearing masks and, if they were, were wearing them improperly. It made the evening tense. We will not return until things are better.

  • Night Out With Friends

by Cam on 10/5/21Tabernacle - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

My wife and I went out with some friends to see Patton Oswalt and he delivered! The two comedians on before him were fantastic, a great warmup act for sure. They had me crying I was laughing so hard. Patton came out and did not disappoint. The venue was also fantastic. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Definitely worth every bit!

  • Patton Pending

by Atrain on 10/5/21Tabernacle - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

What a great show! Patton Oswalt has the chops to connect with his audience and then guide them on an hilarious verbal journey. Not a jokester, he's a storyteller. And he kept the audience at The Tabernacle enthralled. It was cathartic for both him and us. We needed the laughter only a comic of his talents can bring to the stage. And he needed to be the one to do that for us. The openers were good. And did what openers need to do. Prime the crowd. My only "complaint" is those folding chair floor seats at The Tabernacle are very uncomfortable. Fortunately we had Patton to take our..uhhh..minds off that problem and deliver us a captivating and very funny performance.

  • A lot of fun!

by HJA on 10/5/21Tabernacle - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

We were very excited for this show and the comics brought it all. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars was that sitting up in the upper balcony meant a lot of the sound was distorted. I have been to many shows at the Tabernacle and mostly love it as a venue. This was the first time I had seen a show like this. I'm not sure I would again unless I could be closer to the floor.

  • Front row for Patton

by TTTornado on 10/5/21Tabernacle - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

First, the venue: Tabernacle, although haunted as hell was great as usual. The Covid protocols were surprisingly efficient. We’re vaccinated, so I’m certain that made the process go quicker for us. They had a vaccine booth just in case you needed a second jab. The show: Openers were great and very funny. Patton did not disappoint. He admitted that he felt rusty and awkward after being under lock down but it was amazing. I think we’re all kind of feeling that way. I felt the same way when I had to go back into the office. Kind of like a puppy at the dog park that wasn’t socialized and is biting everyone and over sharing stories about my kids poop schedules.

  • Not very funny

by Vordelia on 9/13/21Chevalier Theatre - MedfordRating: 1 out of 5

The stand up comedy was very lazy, focusing on stereotypes rather than anything more clever.

  • Funniest Date Night ever!

by Vandy on 3/11/20Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

I’m not usually one to laugh at comedians but I couldn’t help it! He’s just so stinking’ funny! I decided that I wanted to plan a fun date night for my husband who has recently returned from deployment and to have that time together to laugh was perfect. The little Italian restaurant we had dinner at in the area was great, there were so many things to do in the area that it was just the best date we have ever had... and after 27 years that’s saying something.

  • Great comedy experience!

by Amazing book tour!! on 3/5/20Hard Rock Live Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

Patton Oswalt put on a great show! He's a super funny comedian, we had lots of laughs & left feeling fantastic. We've seen a bunch of shoes at the Hard Rock Live & always have a great time. The bartenders are very attentive & personable.

  • It was so great!

    by J. B. on 3/4/20Hard Rock Live Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

He sounded so happy and his material was classic Patton! The whole room just always had a steady stream of different degrees of laughter going on. I can’t wait to see more.

  • Great Night Out

by Amanda on 3/3/20Hard Rock Live Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I had an amazing time with Patton. He was hilarious and it was a much needed night out and stress relief. Definitely worth the money and we would love to see him again! I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!

  • Patton made me laugh so hard I cried

    by G. R. on 3/3/20Hard Rock Live Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

Patton Oswalt was in top form at the Hardrock Live in Orlando. His delivery was perfect and his material was new and relevant. He has a way of spotting the absurd in life's daily mundane events. Yes, even cereal is made interesting. I now chuckle when I look at ingredients in the supermarket. Other shoppers probably think I am slightly "off". Thanks Patton!?!

  • Rock Solid Performance

    by T. W. on 3/3/20Hard Rock Live Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

Patton Oswalt gave an outstanding performance. Wish we would’ve invited more friends to join. Great night!

  • HILARIOUS!!

by Eyerishchick76 on 3/3/20Hard Rock Live Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

I have waited a long time to get to see Patton live and he definitely did not disappoint. His set was hysterical and insightful. He killed it!

  • Comedy genius

by Nanner on 3/3/20Hard Rock Live Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

Patton was hilarious like pee your pants laughing funny. I’ll never be able to go to Denny’s with out smiling again. I really hope Patton will come back to do another show. Only complaint is the seating at Hardrock Orlando. I like meeting new people but your basically sitting on a strangers lap at this venue.

  • Great comedian, if you can find the venue

by Josh on 3/3/20Hard Rock Live Orlando - OrlandoRating: 3 out of 5

Patton Oswalt is hilarious. You know it, I know it. He put on a great show. Which we saw only the second half of, because we'd never been to the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, and at no point does Ticketmaster tell you that to get there you have to park across the street and find your way into Universal Resort's CityWalk, which will take you at least a half-hour. Oh, and the address you're given is the back service entrance, where they won't let you in. A simple explanation of this would have saved us a lot of headache and last-minute panic.

  • Amazing artists, disliked venue

by Alexandra on 3/3/20Hard Rock Live Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

While I love and adore Patton, the venue itself had us packed in like sardines. Once we sat there was no way to go to the bathroom and I was whole body touching both people on either side of me.

  • Great show

Patton Oswalt show was great. The theater was a great venue, seats were great ( highly recommend the box seats !), show started on time and I had a lot of laughs. First time seeing Patton Oswalt and I would go again. Nice evening out with the Mrs., Thanks Patton !
