Patton is a tremendously funny man. He cracks me up more than just about anyone else in comedy these days.

About
Patton Oswalt continues to leave his distinctive imprint across all areas of entertainment, from his award-winning comedy specials to his many guest roles on television. His most recent comedy special We All Scream (which also marked his directorial debut) launched on Netflix last September and Oswalt was recently nominated for a Grammy for his comedy album. Last year, he starred in the Magnolia Pictures comedy I Love My Dad, winner of the Grand Jury and Audience awards at the 2022 SXSW Film Festival.
Oswalt was nominated for a Critics Choice Award for his performance in Jason Reitman's film Young Adult, starring opposite Charlize Theron. In 2009, he also received critical acclaim for his performance in Robert Siegel's Big Fan; the film was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award and Oswalt earned a Gotham Award nomination for his performance.
Oswalt has appeared in many films, including The Circle, alongside Tom Hanks, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and Zoolander, both directed by Ben Stiller, Steven Soderbergh's The Informant with Matt Damon, and alongside Seth Rogen in Jody Hill's Observe and Report, as well as Paul Thomas Anderson's Magnolia and Todd Phillips' Starsky and Hutch.
Oswalt's past television work includes memorable roles on Parks and Recreation, which brought him a TV Critics Choice Award, A.P. Bio, Veep, United States of Tara, Seinfeld (his TV acting debut), and many more. He is also very well known for playing 'Spence' on The King of Queens for nine seasons. Oswalt is also the narrator on ABC's hit comedy The Goldbergs. He provided the voice for 'Remy' the rat in Pixar's Oscar® winner Ratatouille, and his other voice credits include 'Max' in The Secret Life of Pets 2, Sorry To Bother You, the SYFY series Happy!, Rick and Morty, Archer, and BoJack Horseman.
In 2020, Oswalt's Emmy nominated Netflix special I Love Everything was widely applauded upon release, and he received a Grammy nomination for his comedy album of the same name. In 2017, he received Grammy and Emmy nominations for his album and Netflix special Annihilation, which addresses his own devastating loss and dealing with the unexplainable, while making it all painfully funny. In 2016, he won the Emmy for 'Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special' for his sixth comedy special Talking for Clapping and a Grammy Award in 2017 for his comedy album. He has been nominated for a total of six Grammys and four Emmys. Oswalt has shot eight TV specials and released seven critically acclaimed albums -- in 2009, Patton received his first Grammy nomination for his album My Weakness Is Strong.

Patton Oswalt is Hilarious
by DSteff on 7/23/12Spreckels Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5Mr. Oswalt puts on a great show! He usually brings friends to warm up the crowd and he didn't disappoint. The other three comedians were awesome, two of which happen to be particular favorites of mine. I laughed so hard I cried, leaving zero make-up on my face by the end of the show. I thank Patton for a GREAT time!

Patton Oswalt is amazing and the line-up was unbeatable!
Most Funny Stand-Up Show I've Ever Seen
by jayPEG on 7/15/12Spreckels Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5I went to see Patton with my wife and another couple. All of us laughed so hard through the entire show and my wife was in tears at some points. What a GREAT live comedian!!! We all agreed that it was the best stand-up show we've ever seen, and we've all seen plenty. This particular show had special guests Brian Posehn, Doug Benson, & Mike Drucker - a fantastic line-up. I'd never been to Spreckels Theatre before, but it's a really nice theatre for stand-up comedy. Just about the perfect size and not a bad seat in the house.
Patton and friends rock!
by Cardiffkp on 7/14/12Spreckels Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5My husband and I really enjoyed the show. We had no idea who was opening and had not been impressed with openers for previous comedy shows (Seinfeld, Gaffigan, Demetri Martin), so we had a leisurely dinner before the show. We arrived during the 2nd opening comedian and were delighted to discover it was Doug Benson. Then, the 3rd opener came out and it was Brian Posehn! Another great surprise. We were sorry to have missed the first comedian. Patton came out for his set and absolutely charmed the audience. I laughed, clapped and had a perma- grin on my face throughout the show. He's clever, edgy, self-deprecating and topical. It was a great night!
Patton Oswalt and line-up, awesome!
by URFunnyHoney on 7/14/12Spreckels Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5My son is a 15-year-old stand up comic so we couldn't miss this show. It was like a fan getting to run the bases at Fenway Park. Here's my son's review: Mike Drucker was the opening act. I'd never heard of him before, but he was really good. Doug Benson them came out, and was funny....and high, as usual. Then it was Brian Posehn. Brian told fart jokes for 25 minutes. But they were high quality. And then, Patton Oswalt came out and did about an hour of really good, new material. It was a great show.
Patton, nuf said
by Obilina on 3/31/11Fitzgerald Theater - St PaulRating: 4 out of 5I was assuming this was going to be a stand up but even though it turned into a interview it was delightful. The musical guest was great and the suprise guests of the MST guys showing up made teh crowd go wild. I was dissapointed that it was only a phone interview with Paul F. but Patton signing books at the end was sooo worth it.

i thought it was just stand up along with many others in the audience....i dont believe this was advertised well when tickets went on sale that is was a different format
Patton is funny, MPR's "wits" is not.
by Anonymous on 3/28/11Fitzgerald Theater - St PaulRating: 2 out of 5This was not a stand up comedy show. It was a recording for Minnesota Public Radio program called Wits, "A Good Laugh with Writers". Note: I am both quoting that and being sarcastic. Patton has rapier wit and was by far the most entertaining part of the whole show. The show was about 40% an interview with Patton and 60% of very MPR-y music. I realize there is no accounting for taste, but for me that's a negative. I like MPR as a news source. As an entertainment source they leave a lot to be desired. Although it is my fault for not reading the billing properly, I thought this was a stand up comedy show. But that being said I don't feel this was labeled clearly enough as a live recording of an MPR show. Even now as I type this at the top of the page it just says "Patton Oswald; Fitzgerald Theater". Nothing about Wits, nothing about a radio, nothing about MPR. By far the most cringe inducing moment of the night was the standing sing-a-long at the end. Led by the man who was the "musical director" for the show. He was often playing the bass and rambling on about his, let's say very hippie, philosophy on music. When playing, it was with a guitarist, backup singer and percussionist. Their musical performances would drag on for far too long and constantly brought the show down. That statement doesn't carry much gravity to someone just reading a review, I realize. But if you where there you would appreciate what an awesome event that would have been.
thought I was going to see standup
by littletimmy on 3/27/11Fitzgerald Theater - St PaulRating: 1 out of 5I know that the event was billed with the public radio, but it was not at all what I was expecting. At no time did I see that it was going to be Patton talking to whoever that was, and some 3 person band I have no interest in and didn't want to listen to. I bought tickets expecting to see Patton do stand up, when I buy tickets to a comedian I think I am going to go watch them do stand-up. The only funny stuff was the little bit when Patton was talking. The group I was with, and I, were all pissed off, and like many other people left during the intermission mad that our night was ruined and we were greatly let down. Very glad that we didn't wait outside for a long time because we left anyways and it was general seating. I would appreciate a refund for the event, partial or full, it was expensive and a giant let down for all of us.
Patton Oswalt is the man!
by Sirrock on 3/27/11Fitzgerald Theater - St PaulRating: 5 out of 5This was in intresting event. I was really going to see Patton do some stand up. I had no idea it was for WITS. It was really cool. Patton is funny no matter the setting. The music was great. I laughed, I cried, I pissed my pants. ;)
Funny, enjoyable evening
by jumaha on 3/27/11Fitzgerald Theater - St PaulRating: 4 out of 5Wits with Patton Oswalt as the guest made for a funny, enjoyable evening. Wits is a show put on by Minnesota Public Radio and the audience becomes part of the live taping. It was interesting to see how the taping of a show is done, but don't think the logistics of it will take away from the show at all - it won't. The format of Wits is part comedy, part improv, part interview, and part musical act. It was entertaining and I would go see it again when other guests are in town. The crowd was young and a little rowdy, and dress was very casual. Seating is general admission and it pays to get there early, especially if you're in a group.

Patton Oswalt is a hilarious man. I recommend seeing him whenever the opportunity arises.
Patton Oswalt made me cry like a child
by BrokeintheOC on 3/21/11Galaxy Theatre - Santa AnaRating: 5 out of 5Oswalt just has that type of humor that spans audience genres. Point blank, he cracked everyone up. It was a treat watching this guy in-person.
Patton Oswalt...hilarious!!
by Snowflake11 on 3/14/11Galaxy Theatre - Santa AnaRating: 4 out of 5The only part that sucked was it took longer to drive own to Santa Ana then the entire show was and we had to stand against the wall but it was well worth it. He was funnier than I thought he would be. Would love to see him again!!
Great show
by Anonymous on 3/13/11Galaxy Theatre - Santa AnaRating: 4 out of 5Oswalt's show was great, one of the best I've seen. However, while the venue is unique and a fun hole in the wall, the prices are a little steep on the food for the quality you get. Not a deal breaker, but I've had better bar/club snacks at the same prices, and the opening comedian was alright. His awkwardness was somewhat amusing, but the room wasn't really sure how to respond to him; Oswalt, on the other hand, controlled both the audience and the stage well, never letting it become dull. His prepared acts, as well as his ability to improv off of a member of the audience, was fantastic and entertaining.

As usual Patton was AWESOME! The opener was so-so. Wish that he had picked Kyle Kinane to be the opener again. Patton delivered again and had me and my date laughing uncontrollably. Loved it.
Patton Oswalt <3
by Anonymous on 3/13/11Galaxy Theatre - Santa AnaRating: 5 out of 5He was absolutely hilarious live!!! I was totally dreading going. I bought the tickets for my boyfriend because he loves Patton but I listened to some of his CDs and thought he was only alright, but to see him live was a totally different story. It was awesome :]
Patton Oswalt was hysterical!
by Pug728 on 1/28/11Wilbur Theatre - BostonRating: 5 out of 5We've only seen Patton as Spencer in King of Queens so we weren't sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. He took his life experiences and was fantastic. In the hour and a half show, we never stopped laughing. Even when the audience was talking to him, he responded and went with the flow. We would definitely pay to see him again.
Cannot get enough of Patton Oswalt!
by Stacymac7 on 1/26/11Wilbur Theatre - BostonRating: 5 out of 5This is the 2nd time we've seen him at the Wilbur Theatre - he is so incredibly entertaining! He actually seemed a bit happier this time although he claims to not have sleep because of a new baby...no matter - he is a brilliant story teller and I will no doubt see him again!
