I took my wife to Passion and Poetry for Valentine's Day and we left during the last act, after contemplating an early exit at intermission. The high point of the evening was Frenchie Davis, who did a great job singing. The low points were most of the poets, particularly one guy who seemed to be making up his poem as he went along and talked solely about how every woman should let him have sex with them, and the last singer Phillipi who came out singing awful remixes of current songs like "These Thugs Ain't Loyal." She even brought out a beat machine and tinkered around with it before her song ... no lie! It was amateur hour. In the future, this event would need some better poets/musicians/artists to be successful.
