Best Jazz Fest on the Water

    by Rico on 3/26/24

First of all, I want to give props to Cadillac for putting on a class event, I've attended for 5 years now, and I've also attended the other place in Panama City and I can truly say for the money you spend at the other venue, its far to complicated. Being able to prepare and bring your own food and drinks is phenomenal, the atmosphere is just awesome, access to the water views is just a few footsteps from lounging spot and blanket. Tickets are already purchased and ready for year 6, if you miss it you missed a treat.

Had a very nice time! Keep Going Cadillac!

    by JJazzMa on 12/1/23

Very nice line up! Fun atmosphere! Friendly workers! Nice crowd! Great weather (if you planned accordingly, and we did) Entrance lines were way too long. Promoter announced that it had something to do with coolers and checking coolers. That was very misleading and untrue. That line was ridiculously long because they were not organized effectively. There was a lack of signage for where to go. We were originally in the long line only to find out that we were in the wrong line for WILL Call. If I hadn't asked someone that looked like they might be working the event, we would have been in line for hours. They needed much more people to get people through. The food truck we went to was so very disorganized. We waited for so long to be served. That really wasn't the worst part. We expect to wait during events of this size. But the food workers did not have a system for preparing food or serving customers. I placed an order and they never even acknowledged that my order was placed. Never made eye contact. Then when I asked if my order was taken, they got irritated. Never Again. It was the food truck with the Gyros. There were Asian workers and an African American man. I'll never visit that vendor again. And the food was cold and chicken was dry. My husbands food was very unsatisfactory as well. That was very disappointing especially since we purposely did not bring food so we could support the vendors. Bringing my own food next time. I will attend again and hope that they get these issues worked out.

    Too chilly

by PBlack3 on 10/15/23Festival Grounds at Pensacola Maritime Park - Pensacola

The performances were very good and the promotion was very good. The only problem was the weather. I thought it was too cool in the evenings after the sun went down.

    My thoughts!

by Caleb on 10/14/23Festival Grounds at Pensacola Maritime Park - Pensacola

The lineup and musicians were very good except for the sound towards the end of the night with Norman Brown. The corrections I would make would be the ridiculous line to enter the event. There was no order or direction, it wound around in a small lawn area causing people to argue amongst themselves there were no clear markings to indicate will call entry points or anything of that nature. Secondly, to pay $20 for a turkey leg or $10 for a small amount of barely warm french fries is ridiculous. I realize people need to make a profit but I would have reasonable food at reasonable prices at least!

    BEST THING GROWING

    by Sandy T on 10/14/23

Already planning to attend next year. Love October dates. It beats being in the heat all day. Just plan to bring extra clothing to layer up if you are sensitive to cooler temperatures on the water at night. The shows were incredible and transitioned smoothly between acts with top notch DJ and Moderator. Had a great time. No complaints from me. The venue was nice and I can't wait 'til next year!

    I loved the festival

by Juju on 10/14/23Festival Grounds at Pensacola Maritime Park - Pensacola

I loved the festival. It had great entertainment and an all around great atmosphere. My only complaint is the time it took to get people into the festival grounds. My suggestion is to open the gates earlier.

    Great Experience

by MyaBran on 10/12/23Festival Grounds at Pensacola Maritime Park - Pensacola

Kudos, Excellent, Experience! The Artist were A+, the Atmosphere was great. I had a wonderful time as usual. I thourougly enjoyed everything. The only negative is not against the organizer because I know it was out of his control. I don't like the date change from Labor Day weekend to Columbus Day weekend. Next year the date will be a week after Columbus Day. It was cold this year for me so I am not sure if I will be able to attend. Overall - Recommend this Jazz Festival!!!!!

    Inadequate staffing for a sell-out

by Tyrone on 10/12/23Festival Grounds at Pensacola Maritime Park - Pensacola

The promotor failed to have adequate crowd control based on a sell-out. Patrons waited in line to enter the venue for up to a hour-plus. Further more the increased crowd had a negative impact on the restroom facilities. The woman's facility stop working during Saturday's performance. There should have been portable toilets on site for a crowd of that size. All in All the performances by the artists were amazing. The sound system was first class.

OUTSTANDING 2 DAYS OF NON-STOP JAZZ!

by PRE on 10/12/23Festival Grounds at Pensacola Maritime Park - Pensacola

Gulf Coast Jazz in Pensacola Florida was Amazing! it was my first time experiencing the GCJ Concert! I recommended it highly to all of my jazz lovers. True enough, GCJ was the best kept secret;however, it will no longer be a secret. I will attend in 2024 without a doubt! Congratulations for a job well done!!!

    Great show and experience

by Icecoldubm on 10/12/23Festival Grounds at Pensacola Maritime Park - Pensacola

Our first time attending this jazz festival. It was an amazing experience fellowship with fellow jazz lovers in a picturesque setting. We will definitely be back next year.
