Ever since the release of their 2008 EP Chunk of Change, Passion Pit’s unique brand of indietronica has appealed to fans of both indie rock and electronic dance music, generating heaps of praise from those bastions of hipster cred otherwise known as music blogs. With the release of sophomore album Gossamer in 2012, the band kept crowds moving with a collection of ambitious and impeccably produced gems like “Take a Walk” and “Constant Conversations,” earning the album a No. 4 position on the Billboard 200. Passion Pit originated as the solo project of frontman Michael Angelakos, who penned the project’s first songs for his girlfriend before enlisting some of his classmates from Berklee College of Music to start a group. The band’s debut full-length Manners (2009) received praise from critics and bloggers for its catchy and danceable songs, including breakthrough single “Sleepyhead” and kaleidoscopic electro hit “The Reeling.” On tour in 2013, Passion Pit has been treating fans to high-octane live performances that perfectly capture the spirit of their sparkling pop anthems.

Was a great show! High energy and the crowd was really into it.
My boyfriend and I were absolutely blown away by this show. Having seen Passion Pit just last month, it was obvious how fast they're becoming a success in Boston and beyond. Will definitely be checking them out again.
I stood for over three hours - OVER THREE HOURS - before Passion Pit came on. That was an hour of bad radio pop songs, thirty minutes of a mediocre opening band, another half an hour of even worse radio pop songs, thirty minutes of a somewhat better but somewhat trite and repetitive second opening band, a good forty-five minutes of the worst radio pop songs yet, and finally - FINALLY - Passion Pit, the band that I PAID to see - the band that was ADVERTISED - was up. And they did rock. But not enough to make up for three hours and fifteen minutes of crap.
I guess......this was not 4 me, but they played the song I liked
It was awesome. It was really fun and crazy. They played great songs and all their songs are perfect to dance to. They're my favorite band and it was splendid!
I've seen over 30 live shows and this was by far one of the best. I loved the energy!
In the days leading up to the event, various people told me that Passion Pit is bad live. I listened to their live Glastonbury set from '09, to confirm, and they indeed did not sound that good (mainly, the lead singer was having trouble hitting notes and instrumentals were not as organized as in studio recordings). BUT at Pomona they were AMAZING. They played all the best songs, in the perfect order, and VERY WELL. Lead singer hit all the notes, sounds were all proportional and balanced, and the venue in Pomona was beautiful. Whatever you heard about them before, I think is irrelevant. They blew my mind.
Passion Pit was absolutely amazing! they sounded great and had the crowd going the whole time! I would definitely see them again!
Aside from two opening bands (one too many), it was a wonderful wonderful show! Passion Pit had us dancing the entire time! SEE THEM now!!!!!
amazing! so glad that i finally got to see them live.
The show was great! Vocals were a bit hard to hear, but I was afraid they would be out of tune with him trying to reach those high notes, but overall, he did a good job. The enthusiasm of the crowd was great, and the venue was perfect.
The first two bands weren't that good, Band of skulls and some other band, but when passion pit came on, it was just wonderful, it was my first LEGIT concert EVER and it was just simply amazing. I would do this again ANY TIME!
meh, wont leave a lasting impression, singer sounded like coheed and nothing like manners
The best concert I have ever been to. Band of Skulls and Plague Vendor played also, but only Band of Skulls was good. Then Passion Pit came on. If you were in the pit, you had the best time of your life. Crowd surfs, dancing, jumping, and Michael Angelakos kept the crowd into everything he sang. I will never forget this concert!!!
I was really looking forward to this show, but was somewhat disappointed. They relied on too much sequencing which destroyed the groove. Too bad 'cause I lover their music.
Most bands that use a lot of production have a large drop off when it comes to their live shows. With Passion Pit this was definitely not the case. It was like listening to their album at home, only the music engulfed you and kicked it up a notch.
So entertaining! Best friend got on stage! A lot of little girls though.
What a perfect way to kick off the December to Remember. Hockey was a good local opener, ton of energy. Not so sure about the singer in the middle, Squid kinda cockblocked her by pumping up the crowd for Passion Pit and then introducing her. Passion Pit lived up to the expectations, great show, great encore. I would definitley go and see them again.
Passion Pit at the crystal ballroom was amazingggg hockey opened for them and is now one of my favorite bands, but passion pit was incredible the only bad thing was everyone was pushing to the front so we were all extremely cramped and i wish the security or something could have told everyone to move back a little but it was an amazing night!
This was a great show! Passion Pit was ahhh-mazing!
