About
Ever since the release of their 2008 EP Chunk of Change, Passion Pit’s unique brand of indietronica has appealed to fans of both indie rock and electronic dance music, generating heaps of praise from those bastions of hipster cred otherwise known as music blogs. With the release of sophomore album Gossamer in 2012, the band kept crowds moving with a collection of ambitious and impeccably produced gems like “Take a Walk” and “Constant Conversations,” earning the album a No. 4 position on the Billboard 200. Passion Pit originated as the solo project of frontman Michael Angelakos, who penned the project’s first songs for his girlfriend before enlisting some of his classmates from Berklee College of Music to start a group. The band’s debut full-length Manners (2009) received praise from critics and bloggers for its catchy and danceable songs, including breakthrough single “Sleepyhead” and kaleidoscopic electro hit “The Reeling.” On tour in 2013, Passion Pit has been treating fans to high-octane live performances that perfectly capture the spirit of their sparkling pop anthems.

Neighborhood, Matt & Kim, and Two Door Cinema Club were great. I still can't stand Passion Pit though. Also the lack of sufficient quality food and beer throughout all areas of the event location was unforgivable. The organizers need to get it together, that was a despicable lack of planning.
Coastline Festival
by Anonymous on 11/18/13MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre at the FL State Fairgrounds - TampaRating: 3 out of 5The show was well organized with plenty of time to get from stage to stage to see all of the acts. All the acts started on time as well. A lot of the food trucks seems to close pretty early which was a little disappointing. The craft beer tent had a good selection of different beers but ran out of a lot of beers. I thought the pricing of the beer was reasonable as well. I was pretty disappointed with the autograph area. A lot of people were lining up early for some bands, while other bands were still signing. There should be a better way to organize that. It seems like people had to decide if they wanted to get autographs or see the show. Thanks.
Best festival I've been to!
by michay on 11/17/13Cruzan Amphitheatre - West Palm BeachRating: 5 out of 5I was totally blown away. I left the venue anxious for next year!

Really awesome show. The last minute venue change worked out for the best - Passion Pit really worked well in a large club setting vs. an arena.
Great Inaugural One-Day Indie Music Festival
by skinnydude on 11/14/13Cruzan Amphitheatre - West Palm BeachRating: 5 out of 5Live Nation created a really nice traveling showcase of current, talented indie rock/pop acts for South and Central Florida...a good value with affordable ticket prices. I liked all the acts that I saw : Capital Cities, Surfer Blood, Fitz and the Tantrums, The Neighborhood, Matt & Kim, The Joy Formidable, Two Door Cinema Club, and Passion Pit. I had seen four of them before...FATT, M&K, TJM, and TDCC...and they were unquestionably the best of the lot. I've traveled to numerous big destination music festivals over the past decade, including several Coachellas and some Lollapaloozas and Austin City Limit Fests just to see these type of acts; and it was a pleasure to have something like this event within a 1.5-hour drive from home, albeit on a much smaller scale. In fact, the fun atmosphere and vibe of the attendees reminded me a bit of the early years of Coachella before it became extremely big and popular. Most of the people's first priority seemed to be enjoying the music rather than just partying or chatting with friends, which was refreshing. It was also nice to see a wide demographic range there from kids in their early teens to people in their 50's, including whole families! There was a quite a significant contingent of Gen-Xers in their 30's and 40's, like myself, who have always had an appreciation of the new and alternative music scene since they were kids and have never stopped...probably something that LN didn't originally anticipate. I liked how there was a little down time between the acts, which allowed you to move from the amphitheater main stage to the second stage in the rear. Also, the food trucks and variety of craft beers was an excellent touch. The only negatives were that the lines for the food trucks and specialty beers were way too long, their products in short supply, and the sound quality at the second stage was at times not up to snuff, especially during The Neighborhood's set. Hopefully, these things will be rectified if there are future Coastline Festivals. I really hope LN organizes it again next year around Veterans Day weekend with the same format and array of talent.

So much fun!!! Lots of great bands!!! Not enough food trucks. Waited in line for close to 2 hours for each individual food truck. The smaller stages sound was quite off. With those two minor glitches being fixed, next year should be awesome!!!
Waited for this festival for months!!! Awesome!!

Two Door Cinema Club and Passion Pitt - Uuuff!!!
by MissBatista on 11/13/13Cruzan Amphitheatre - West Palm BeachRating: 5 out of 5This festival had to be the best compilation of new musical talent I've seen in years!!! Amazing live acts, great vibe and really good vendors at the ampitheater. A day that will not be forgotten:)
AMAZING CONCERT EXPERIENCE
by ncatania1 on 11/13/13Cruzan Amphitheatre - West Palm BeachRating: 5 out of 5This concert event was absolutely awesome. The VIP tickets were worth the splurge as we had our own area to relax in between sets with clean bathrooms, our own bar, beer tastings and a food buffet. The lineup was KILLER and the venue was nice and clean as well. One downfall were the long lines for the food trucks. I would HIGHLY recommend this to others for next year.
I Wanna Go Again!
by JJScott76 on 11/13/13Cruzan Amphitheatre - West Palm BeachRating: 5 out of 5Amazing crowd and vibe, the yummy food trucks and vendors with wares you don't normally see were a great change from the normal festival/concert, Cruzan is one of my favorite venues and the bands were performing like it was their last night on earth! Highlights for me were especially Fitz and the Tantrums, Matt and Kim and Passion Pit. All were shows you would punish yourself for missing. I would go every year! Thank you for a fabulous experience!
Matt and Kim Rocked
by Scott0530 on 11/13/13Cruzan Amphitheatre - West Palm BeachRating: 4 out of 5In my opinion Matt & Kim or Fitz and the Tantrums should have been our headliner they were so much more fun and into the crowd than Passion Pit. The other band that should have made its way to the main stage was The Joy Formidable a truly amazing fun band to watch.

I went to mostly see Two Door Cinema Club, but Matt and Kim's performance blew us away! TDCC was still amazing, too!
Coastline festival was excellent
by MDKG409 on 11/13/13Cruzan Amphitheatre - West Palm BeachRating: 4 out of 5The concert was great. Excellent mix of bands, well placed throughout the day. It was great to have the two stages, but allow for time to see all the bands if you want to (which we did). Favorite bands that day were Capital Cities, The Joy Formidable, and Matt & Kim. It would have been better if there were a few more food trucks, and if the Cruzan/Livenation group monitoring the seats were cordial... Needed a few more people monitoring tickets in the upper section. Great day, great time! Hope they do it again!!!
Not well run and bad pricing
by 80sDuranDuranfan on 11/13/13Cruzan Amphitheatre - West Palm BeachRating: 2 out of 5Had high hopes for this festival....but just didn't live up to it. There were only about 7 or 8 food trucks total....one on the Atlantic stage side (BC Tacos)...so lines were massive. Food prices were ludicrously high. And not a great selection. Was charged $5.50 for a bottle of water. Consider Gentlemen of the Road Stopover tour sold water for $1 and $2. Also, wasn't told there were two stages.....apparently it said this on a flyer...finally found it but it was more like a high school gym stage in a parking lot....should have stuck to one nice big stage. Between shows...if u didn't want to run to the other stage...there wasn't much to do....5 flea market booths..... Overall, it was a pretty lame festival....we only went to catch 2 Door, St Lucia and Passion Pit....next time, we will just buy concert tix and skip the festival!
Awesome vibe

Great music & food

Great bands for a small venue
by Rutledd1 on 11/13/13Cruzan Amphitheatre - West Palm BeachRating: 2 out of 5In a nutshell, everybody would've been about 150% more enjoyable if they had been in a small venue. I've seen Fitz & The Tantrums in Nashville at the Cannery Ballroom, and they blew me away. Here, it was mediocre at best. Matt & Kim's act was about 80% gimmick. Again, might have been fun in a club, but from a few dozen yards away it was boring.
