Great performers all around, especially Matt & Kim. Passion Pitt was amazing, of course. Icona Pop was fun too. The crowd was a little crazy...

About
Ever since the release of their 2008 EP Chunk of Change, Passion Pit’s unique brand of indietronica has appealed to fans of both indie rock and electronic dance music, generating heaps of praise from those bastions of hipster cred otherwise known as music blogs. With the release of sophomore album Gossamer in 2012, the band kept crowds moving with a collection of ambitious and impeccably produced gems like “Take a Walk” and “Constant Conversations,” earning the album a No. 4 position on the Billboard 200. Passion Pit originated as the solo project of frontman Michael Angelakos, who penned the project’s first songs for his girlfriend before enlisting some of his classmates from Berklee College of Music to start a group. The band’s debut full-length Manners (2009) received praise from critics and bloggers for its catchy and danceable songs, including breakthrough single “Sleepyhead” and kaleidoscopic electro hit “The Reeling.” On tour in 2013, Passion Pit has been treating fans to high-octane live performances that perfectly capture the spirit of their sparkling pop anthems.

Great fun show! All bands were full of energy and everything sounded great
Great Energy but a short show!
by santacruzguy on 3/9/13Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5The band sounded absolutely wonderful, and played many of their most crowd pleasing songs throughout the set. They played probably 60% of their set with songs from Gossamer and threw in some songs out of Manners. The visual side of the show was relatively simple, but it worked for the style of music and it didn't feel as if the show overall was thin or lacking in that regard. The lead single spoke a little to the crowd, but mostly focused on the music. My only real disappointment with the show was it's time. They sounded so great and it felt like the show began and then was immediately over. In reality I think they played around 70'ish minutes, which is still pretty short compared to many of the other shows I've been to, and perhaps felt more pronounced because the music was so great. I still had a very good time, I just wish that I could have heard more by the band!

Show was awesome, all 3 groups were great. Matt & Kim were especially incredible and completely exciting.
Passion pit very disappointing live :(
by SSSF4444 on 3/9/13Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 2 out of 5Musically the band sounded great. The singer was terrible. Sharp and couldn't hit his high notes. We left early. They are a great band but need a little "in studio", help if you know what I mean.
Great show
by Justputanamehere on 3/9/13Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5Matt and Kim blew the roof off! Passion Pit was pretty amazing as well!
Such a great night!
by gbra on 3/8/13Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco, CARating: 5 out of 5I saw Passion Pit, Matt and Kim, and Icona Pop all together, it was amazing. Passion Pit is extremely awesome and although sometimes the music itself drowned out the voices, I still loved it. The vibe is awesome and they had great lighting and a great atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

The concert was outstanding. I enjoyed immensely. The length of the concert was great and the quality was beyond great. One can easily see when both the performer and the audience are totally in sync with each other.

AMAZING!!!! The show was great! If you can I would completely recommend seeing them! Matt and Kim were also GREAT!!!
1word for the Matt & Kim/Passion Pit, delectable.
by Atrack54 on 3/4/13Hilton Coliseum - AmesRating: 4 out of 5I cam to the concert with decent expectations and they were blown out of the water. Starting with Matt & Kim who I always considered an average band came out with so much energy and were incredibly entertaining to watch and listen to. On the other hand was Passion Pit, who also came out with a lot of energy and a light show that dazzled the campus of Iowa State. The only thing I would could possibly say was poor was the lack of singing on the hands of Passion Pit. I would definitely see them both again in the future.

It was a great show!! Both Matt & Kim and Passion Pit were great performers. They were good live and really connected with the audience.
Passion Pit/Matt & Kim
by Rinaa on 3/4/13Hilton Coliseum - AmesRating: 5 out of 5Awesome show! Matt & Kim blew my mind! When Kim stood on the crowd, I about lost it. Passion Pit was also amazing. Although I'd heard they weren't very good live, I beg to differ. I thought it was amazing!
Dance Party!
by Lini0015 on 3/4/13Peabody Opera House - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5Passion Pit was amazing! If you like the music, you will love the show. They played all my favorites, new and older. The opening bands were so much fun too! Matt and Kim put on such a good show. They are so energetic and funny! I hadn't heard of Iconapop before the show, but really enjoyed their unique music. They were also really generous with the audience, taking pictures during their set. The best show I've seen in a long time!
Passion pit was awesome but matt and kim sucked
by beastlee on 3/3/13Hilton Coliseum - AmesRating: 4 out of 5matt and kims sound was horrible and they were pretty obnoxious, but passion pit put on a great show, cool lighting good sound and a decent lengthen set
Still singing along!

Simply stunning, most talented band ever seen to perform live.
Passion Pit rocked our faces off
by dirtymoines on 3/2/13Hilton Coliseum - AmesRating: 5 out of 5brilliant show, was a bit worried PP's music wouldn't translate well to the arena, but it def did... wish there were more people there, probably one of the smaller crowds they will play to... Matt & Kim opened & played really well to the crowd, I would seem them on their own & be blown away... can't wait to see both bands in the future
An all around great show with an amazing start
by doominglight on 3/2/13Hilton Coliseum - AmesRating: 5 out of 5The show started off on an amazing high with Matt & Kim. They were high-energy with a huge sound and their music is incredibly easy to dance to. Passion Pit, on the other hand, is great live but not near as "fun" as Matt & Kim. They don't play the crowd near as much and barely interacted with the audience. Not to say they did bad, but they were much less fun than Matt & Kim. Overall, an amazing and wholly enjoyable show.
