About

Pantera is a heavy metal band formed in Arlington, Texas in 1981 by brothers Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrell, and is currently composed of vocalist Phil Anselmo, bassist Rex Brown, and touring musicians Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante. After a number of buzzy releases throughout the 1980s, the band dropped their breakout album, Cowboys From Hell, in 1990, which established Pantera as leaders in the groove metal genre. The first group to land an extreme metal album at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with their 1994 album Far Beyond Driven, Pantera were hailed as torchbearers of the genre, paving the way for a long and successful reign that included two subsequent albums and four Grammy nominations. The pioneering band has sold over 20 million albums over the course of their career and are credited as a musical inspiration by many acts in the metal space. Pantera entered a hiatus in 2001, and shortly thereafter, founding member Dimebag Darrell was killed onstage in 2004. A new era began when surviving members Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown returned to the road in 2023 for their first tour as Pantera in over 20 years. Now, the band is set to embark on a 2025 outing, titled Pantera’s The Heaviest Tour of the Summer.

  • Blew my mind - better than expected!

by Ryan on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I had no idea that the show would be as awesome as it was! Truly speechless. Zaak Wylde did Dime Bag justice on guitar, and Phil still has his signature vocal range. Go see them on this tour!

  • Insane

    by L3SSTHANZERO on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Was one of the best concerts in a long time. To see these guys go back out on tour after so many years and nail it is a testament to the band and their music. Truly a must see band.

  • Didn’t disappoint

by Jeff on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

This was my eighth time seeing them. This journey started back in the 90’s when cowboys from hell first came out and they played a gig at Ricky Rachtman’s Cathouse in so cal. Since then they have been my number one. Through every crazy, wild, happy, and sad event throughout my life they have been there to pick me up, comfort me, and hell ground me throughout. I lost my wife last year of 25 years, and I talked all the time how Pantera and their shows were out of this world. We never got to see them together, but was good to have her with me in my heart as I moshed, jumped, and scream cried throughout their entire set. The energy was stellar from start to finish and I can’t relay to all members of Pantera, alive or not, to the road crew, to the staff, of how phenomenal you all were. Thank you!!!

  • Best Concert

by Adri on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

It was one of the best concerts I've ever been to, and I've been to quite a bit. The show was amazing and they rocked so hard. I hope they don't wait 20 something yearr to come back to Indiana again, cause they were the hella dope! 🤘

  • Was hands down one of the best concerts I've been to

    by Rockmomof5 on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

The whole show was great ! Pantera rocked it along with Lamb Of God and S.N.A.F.U

  • Too Short

by Thatmetalshow on 8/1/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Snafu very good. LoG great. Only played 10 songs. Tooooo short no encore. Pantera awesome. Coulda played another song or two, also. Great artists, but extremely short show.

  • It's been far to long to hear these songs

    by James F. on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I wish Vinnie and Dime could have set their differences aside all those years ago but Zakk and Charlie did them justice. Phil and Rex have not lost their touch and the four of them rocked that place. Hope they tour often and maybe even decide to write together. If you have a chance go see them. You will not be disappointed!

  • Amazing concert!

by Pantera Fan on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

The concert was absolutely incredible! Only recommendation I have is for Ruoff/Ticketmaster to make sure to check with band what they will allow in before you send emails out.

  • Great Show

by TCU on 8/1/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Really really good show. Security was aottle lax with some of the people in the pit. Ruoff needs to fix the bridge at the exit. It's a choke point when shows are over.

  • A badass experience

by Evan on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Pantera and lamb of god were badass. Really put on a great show.

  • The best

by Drew on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

AMAZING! Please bring them back every year. PanterA was more than a band! It was a way of life, a brotherhood. It’s exactly what we need at ruoff!

  • Amazing performance!

by CherylMarie on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Was a fantastic show, great energy, great sound. Nice tribute to Dimebag and Vinnie. Only disappointment was that they did not play the full song for Cemetery Gates.

  • Great Sho

Amazing show! Pantera killed it!! So worth the wait!

  • Excellent

by Treat Williams on 7/31/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I was skeptical about how they would sound without the two members, but their replacements were fantastic. Excellent show all around would go again in they come back

  • Phenomenal show

by tnpottsinks on 7/31/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Phenomenal show. Snafu was good, Lamb of God kicked ass as always, and Pantera far exceeded expectations. However, will not return to a show like this at Star Lake Pavilion in Burgettstown, PA. The pit, which was expensive, is tiny, maybe 13’ from the rail to the backside of it. I felt like I’d been swindled. If the show had not been as good as it was… well, it would have been one or two stars.

  • Explosive!!

by Mummie on 7/31/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Pantera was simply EXPLOSIVE!!! Everything thing from emotional to straight head banging, I can't say enough great things... Brought my 11 year old son and I know he'll remember this night for the rest of his life, as will I!!!

  • Pantera

by Jimmy on 7/31/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Incredible night with Pantera! Venue was running smooth, parkin was easy, bathroom lines were moving and the place was packed. Any line we got in was smooth, merch and drinks. Thank you all

  • Review for show 5 stars, the venue not so much

by Vas on 7/31/23Rating: 2 out of 5

Everything for the most part with the show went well. The bands were all great. Getting my VIP tickets and having early entry to the venue was also fairly simple. I was a little bummed out that the "VIP"lanyard I got with my tickets was just decorative, that was a missed opportunity to rectify what I am about to explain, if the lanyard and badge would have been used to show where my seats were and i could use it as another way to verify I belong where I was at there wouldn't have been any issues with how the venue handled things after entry on to the grounds. I'll begrudgingly give a pass on being cashless but how the VIP section was handled was an absolute joke. The fact that cell phones control everything inside the VIP section is outrageous. In between acts if you leave the VIP area to go to concessions, merch booths or the bathroom, you need to verify your seats upon returning by using your cellphone to access your tickets on livenation or Google wallet, which involves having staff check your phone each and every time. I took my teenager with me so every time we went out I had to verify both of us upon re-entry. Meanwhile General Admission PIT was in the same area and they were issued wristbands that not only allowed them to get into the pit but it allowed them to gain access to walk through the VIP area to get to the stage, which face value is absolutely fine but their wristbands gave them access to the same area I had to repeatedly show my phone to verify where my seats were. The process was simple for GA-PIT,they flashed their wristbands and on their way they went. The other issue with the whole phone debacle is if your phone dies, you lose the ability to verify your seats...Which means A: If you were to get checked during the show snd asked to show your tickets and your phones dead, you have no proof as to where your seats are and risk getting removed.Or B: You leave during an intermission or go to use the bathroom and your phone dies outside of the VIP area , you lose access to your seat because you no longer can access proof of your tickets through the Livenation app or Google wallet. At one point I actually approached security and staff over this issue because during the opening band my battery was at 30 % and I was worried about exactly what I previously mentioned. I got a few empty suggestions from staff and both were honestly kind of unreasonable. I was told the venue offers charging stations for cellphones up near the restrooms, I was told if I was worried about it to go stand at the charging station for awhile and charge my phone... I am not gonna do that when I paid a premium for 2 sets of VIP tickets and that would involve me physically leaving the area of the Venue where the show is being played and missing the entertainment I payed for. The other suggestion was to "Get paper tickets!"Which wasn't even an option, and as per Livenation, you can not print a screenshot of tickets /QR code as they will not be accepted as proof of purchase. This process was a complete headache as far as how it was presented, live music and entertainment should not be held at the mercy of mobile phones and technology. Paper ticket stubs, wristbands, or actually using the "VIP"lanyard as a pass would have made the "VIP"experience hold more water. Lesson learned, in the future I'll stick with lawn seats, it's a much more enjoyable experience
