About

Pantera is a heavy metal band formed in Arlington, Texas in 1981 by brothers Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrell, and is currently composed of vocalist Phil Anselmo, bassist Rex Brown, and touring musicians Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante. After a number of buzzy releases throughout the 1980s, the band dropped their breakout album, Cowboys From Hell, in 1990, which established Pantera as leaders in the groove metal genre. The first group to land an extreme metal album at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with their 1994 album Far Beyond Driven, Pantera were hailed as torchbearers of the genre, paving the way for a long and successful reign that included two subsequent albums and four Grammy nominations. The pioneering band has sold over 20 million albums over the course of their career and are credited as a musical inspiration by many acts in the metal space. Pantera entered a hiatus in 2001, and shortly thereafter, founding member Dimebag Darrell was killed onstage in 2004. A new era began when surviving members Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown returned to the road in 2023 for their first tour as Pantera in over 20 years. Now, the band is set to embark on a 2025 outing, titled Pantera’s The Heaviest Tour of the Summer.

  • Everyone is welcome! Except for Metalheads!

by DeadGirl on 8/1/23Rating: 4 out of 5

The bands were absolutely amazing. I refused to purchase anything inside because things are outrageously priced. Why would anyone spend 20$ for one drink. I could get a whole 18 pack for that price. My biggest issue is the fact that every other concert can bring in big ass bags, chairs, etc. But just because it's a rock or metal act apparently we will destroy the place. This is not 1999. I haven't seen a real mosh pit since I was like 26. We get searched like crazy, clear bags, when anyone at any show can bring in anything illegal they want. They don't even get searched. I think its pretty fucked up tbh. It's discrimination. All policies should be the same for all concerts. When I called and asked about bringing a towel so I could sit on it on the lawn. The lady said "no because of the types of things that go on at these shows? So I asked and what activities are those. "Well they just don't want people to trip"sounds like a load if unfair bs to me. I'm only giving 4 stars because the bands were amazing.

Great show, great opening acts, great weather. Loved the tribute photos and videos of Dime and Vinnie it brought back a lot of memories I do believe Phil was moved by them also, Zakk is a beast.

  • A great tribute to a couple legends

    by Aaron G on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I was a bit disappointed in the set list, but it was the closest thing to Pantera you’re going to see. It wasn’t Ozzfest 97, 98, 99 or 2000 but it was still rad. Hope they keep touring.

by Cody on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

The show was amazing and will return to another PANTERA concert when you return. This was my first time seeing PANTERA play and the best part was I got to experience it with my wife daughter and my daughters friend were metal concert virgins. Keep rocking on look forward to seeing seeing you play again

  • Goddamn electric

by Phil Lakes on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

From top to bottom, awesome! Class A professionalism from the band as well as the audience. It was great to see Phil and Rex throwing down with such positivity. Zack and Charlie what can you say they owned the stage just as the brothers would have. Much love one love. Respect.

  • Perfect production

by Joe on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

From the lot to the stage staff were top notch. The lady at merch even helped me sleeve my poster. Security managed mosh pits on the lawns professionally with high regard to safety without compromiaing the fun. Sound, lights, and pyro went off without a hitch.

  • PANTERA!

by Dan on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I got into Pantera in 2000, when I was 13 years old. They've been my favorite band since then and I never thought I would get to see them perform live. BLS and LoG are also in my top 5, so this was something of a dream come true for me. Words really can't describe it. I had to go, bucket list for sure! So many metal heads in one place, it was amazing. I wouldn't have changed a thing! Loved it!

  • Great Show!

by Yeti on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

We had a blast. Big crowd and the show was great!

  • Pantera was AWESOME

    by Nikki46953 on 8/1/23Rating: 4 out of 5

From the parking to finding someone at the Shake Shack in the lawn to help someone who had passed out and the quick response, to getting out-it was a great experience as far as the venue goes. I had a friend who brought a blanket to sit on and we were told no chairs or blankets which did make it hard on her since she is slightly disabled but BUT she enjoyed the show. It would be great if there were other varieties of the canned water. Death Water is just okay if you like that drunk from a hose taste but there are other brands such as Mananalau water which also has flavored options and is great, RAIN, and Path are all better options and options I would even pay the upcharge for.

  • Pantera lamb of god

by Hawknation on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Phenomenal show. Far exceeded my expectations! Stronger than all!!!

  • This show crushed!

by JK on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

The quality of their sets are getting so much tighter than the videos I saw from overseas. Its really hard to imitate Dimebags sound but Zakk is getting closer. I expected a great show but it really exceeded my expectations. It was great to hear those timeless Metal songs again live. Lamb of God puts on a great show as well and really brings the energy. I am definitely going to try and catch them again on this tour.

  • Pantera. Lamb of God, Snafu

by Choadhocker on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Had a great time, the weather was right and the bands destroyed on stage

  • Fantastic time!

by VVG on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

It has been over 20 years since I last saw Pantera in concert and it was also here at the same venue. Wasn’t sure what to expect, being pantera. Would it be total mosh pit in the lawn again or not? It turned out great, not total chaos, we were all still getting into the music in moderation I will call it and remembering how great it was then and now. Glad I went worth every dollar.

  • Absolutely epic

by Dougie on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Nothing get better than a good Metal show with Pantera and LambOfGod playing some monster hit songs

  • Pantera still rocks the house

    by Jamin911 on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Pantera is still rocking. I know some of the founders of the band have passed on but what a way to pay respect to them by performing a sold out show for the true fans of pantera

  • AMAZING TIME

    by B-Rad on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Awesome show awesome venue. Best night of my life. Couldn’t have asked for a better time.
