About

Pantera is a heavy metal band formed in Arlington, Texas in 1981 by brothers Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrell, and is currently composed of vocalist Phil Anselmo, bassist Rex Brown, and touring musicians Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante. After a number of buzzy releases throughout the 1980s, the band dropped their breakout album, Cowboys From Hell, in 1990, which established Pantera as leaders in the groove metal genre. The first group to land an extreme metal album at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with their 1994 album Far Beyond Driven, Pantera were hailed as torchbearers of the genre, paving the way for a long and successful reign that included two subsequent albums and four Grammy nominations. The pioneering band has sold over 20 million albums over the course of their career and are credited as a musical inspiration by many acts in the metal space. Pantera entered a hiatus in 2001, and shortly thereafter, founding member Dimebag Darrell was killed onstage in 2004. A new era began when surviving members Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown returned to the road in 2023 for their first tour as Pantera in over 20 years. Now, the band is set to embark on a 2025 outing, titled Pantera’s The Heaviest Tour of the Summer.

  • It was a great time

by MTLMKE on 8/3/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I'm not a huge Lamb of God fan but they seemed to put on a good show for their fans. However Pantera was amazing. Charlie and Zack are worthy replacements and damned if it didn't look like the whole band was having a genuine good time. Even Phil. Absolutely the show was worth going to.

  • Pantera Rocked Hard

by Pricey on 8/3/23Rating: 5 out of 5

We went to Milwaukee from Chicago just to see Pantera and they definitely did not disappoint! Awesome show the best part was you really felt the appreciation from the band what an awesome experience we missed seeing them for over 20 years and now trying to figure out how we can travel to St Louis in November!!! I would drive all over the tri-state areas to see them again n again thank you for an awesome time Phil, Zakk, Charlie & Rex hoping we can make it to ST Louis forever a fan!!

  • Still AWESOME

by Billy on 8/3/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Pantera sounded as good as they did in the 90's. Miss Dimebag & Vinnie obviously but Phil can still bring it!!! Will definitely go again if they come back to the area

by jettzero on 8/3/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I was blessed to be able to see Pantera 8 times back in the 90s. This show was killer and Zakk and Charlie did an incredible job filling the mighty shoes of the Abbott bros...Was killer.

  • A long time coming

by Brandon on 8/2/23Rating: 5 out of 5

It was a great show with great energy from all the bands. Lamb of God put on a awesome set and Pantera did not disappoint. I have been a fan of Pantera for 25 plus years and never got to experience them live. It was a awesome experience to listen to all that great music and to share this concert experience with my 15 year old son which only made it better. We will definitely see them again if they play here again.

  • Dime and Vinnie Rise Far Beyond the Cemetery Gates

by Ted Wray on 8/2/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Very moving performance, to hear the songs live at full volume live guitar crunching , Zakk Wylde was on fire at Noblesville bringing the Dimebags thunder to the masses and giving them the celebration of life that fans long waited for. Phil is giving it his all to sing like he did in the 90s and rex is , well he's there.

  • PANTERA!!!!

by That Guy on 8/2/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Upon entering the venue parking staff and ticket takers were polite, courteous, and respectful. Security was exceleent. Concessions were pricey, but what is new. SNAFU is a band in the vein of early thrash reminiscent of early Metallica but the veracity of Slayer. LOG is one of my favorite live metal performances. This concert was the 2nd time I have seen them, and they never disappoint. Intensity, aggression, energy, and physicality are all traits of LOG. They play complex metal with superb technicality and wickedly accurate musicianship. AMAZING. Pantera was an emotional one for me. Pantera was the first metal concert I attended all the way back in 1990 opening for Skid Row. When Pantera originally separated with the brothers forming Damage Plan and Anselmo/Brown working together on some side projects I always assumed that we would someday see a reunion and hear the music played again. However, after the death of Dime I knew we never would. UNTIL NOW!!!! Zakk and Chad were amazing filling in for the brothers and they might as well be brothers of the brothers. They laid down the music and played it true. Phil and Rex were amazing. The crowd was amazing. Pantera melted my face off! Because of my emotional connection I have to admit this is the best show I have ever been to. I have been to over 150 shows including multiple festivals. I am not saying I am an expert, but you must believe you are missing a unique moment in music history if you miss the opportunity to see this performance. Metal 4 Life. That Guy

Brought back memories. Pantera is my favorite band. Nice venue worth visiting. Merch and food was more affordable compared to other venues of similar size in surrounding states. I travel to many concerts and will definitely do it again to see Pantera!

  • Pantera

by Ash on 8/2/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Lamb of God went HARD on this show. I could have asked for a better performance from them. Randy is so much fun to watch on stage. As for Pantera, they KILLED it. I absolutely love how honored Zakk and Charlie was stepping in for the legendary Dime and Vinnie. They know they could NEVER replace the two of them but this is a way to honor their memory. The tribute for Dime and Vinnie was beautiful and touched the hearts of everyone that watched. I enjoyed every single second of this show. By far my favorite concert. I hope Pantera continues rockin on.

  • Amazing

  • Don't buy the fast lane passes

by Jmo on 8/1/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Everything was great but we purchased fast lane passes and they didn't have a line open for them to be used. Had to go through the general admission gates. So it was a waste of money!!
