Panda Bear killed it. Best show of the summer. You cannot ask for a better place to see music. Panda Bear filled the 911 night with beautiful smart music.

Rating: 5 out of 5by Tryp on 9/8/10Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland The combination of Panda Bear's experimental noise, trippy beats, gorgeous ambient echoing voice, Danny Perez's ODDSAC-esque live visuals, and the beautiful location at the Fox created a truly psychedelic experience that was awe-inspiring and very original. Panda Bear's new songs and AnCo remixes were wonderful, as were favorites from Person Pitch. It constantly amazed me to hear such complex sounds coming from just one person. I highly recommend this live show.
Rating: 2 out of 5by Anonymous on 9/8/10Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland Might have been a decent set if the sound wasn't overly god awfully loud. You're only allowed to go for My Bloody Valentine's level of noise if you're equivalent to Kevin Shields.
Rating: 1 out of 5 Sound Volume Destroyed Music
by Destroyed on 9/8/10Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandVery disappointed. The volume was turned up so high my seat cushion vibrated and my ears hurt. I was really looking forward to seeing Panda Bear, but was forced to leave in the middle of the concert. That volume diminishes the hearing of the artists and the fans who are there to enjoy the music; i.e., Pete Townsend of the Who is nearly deaf... Will think twice about going to the Fox Theater again.
