Ottawa Senators History

The original Ottawa Senators were founded in 1883 and were one of the founding teams of the NHL during its early years, winning 11 Stanley Cup Championships between 1903 and 1927. When the NHL started to expand to the U.S., the Senators were sold to St. Louis and became the Eagles, but the team shuttered after one year. The second incarnation of the Senators joined the NHL in 1992. The Senators have since gone on to make the Stanley Cup Playoffs 16 times.

  • Cashlese is not the way to go

by Gergie on 4/13/22Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 3 out of 5

When we arrived the POS that were hard wired for the entire building were down so we could not purchase any drinks when we arrived. Had cash been an option things would have been better. Cash IS legal tender. It mist be reinstated.

  • Not replays of current plays

by DD on 3/27/22Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 2 out of 5

I hated the fact the jumbotron didn't show any reviewd calls of replays as the game was played. Was a terrible experience with that failure alone. Not impressed.

  • Excitement on the glass!

by Enirogal on 3/15/22Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 5 out of 5

The Senators Blackhawks game on March 12 was exciting and a great experience, sitting in the front row 'on the glass' by the penalty boxes. Working through Ticketmaster worked very well and the eTicket in my wallet was easy to use and scanned well with no delays.

  • First Hockey game - not the last

by LOuise on 3/15/22Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 5 out of 5

I am new to Canada and my family went to our first hockey game. It was amazing. We had so much fun. The whole atmosphere was electric. We will be going to as many games as we can in the future. Ticketmaster was easy to use. And there were lots of people on hand to help us when we got lost. The food was great. Overall it was a most enjoyable experience.

  • Game was great, Parking and access to parking is a Joke!

by Chris P on 3/2/22Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 3 out of 5

The access to parking is a Awful. I would leave very early to get to a game here. We didnt get in untill 5 minutes left in the last period. the streets to the parking lots were jammed and took a very long time to get to the parking area. The facility itself is fine.

  • Annoying People behind Glass Seats

by Spartacat on 12/11/21Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 5 out of 5

Our Seats on the glass behind the net were great! However there was a young Islander girl fan behind who did not pay for the prime view and was annoying all game. Later in the 3rd period two of her friends came from who knows where and joined her making it even worse. Why the usher took a blind eye and did not check their tickets is beyond comprehension. Especially when we arrived at our seats we were asked to show proof that we were in the proper location. Frustrated and disappointed as this was a special treat and cannot normally afford such luxury seating. We do not understand why some people can sit anywhere they want and ruin such a rare experience.

  • Fun time

    by R. C. on 12/10/21Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 4 out of 5

Had a great time at the Sens / Islanders game on December 7, 2021. Attended with my sons, as we have every season for 15 years. Not the best game, and the entertainment segments at intermissions were a tad lame, but I'm always really impressed with the service folks - unfailingly polite, patient and helpful. Back for another game in the New Year.

  • Awesome experience !

by Mary on 12/7/21Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 5 out of 5

We had the best seats in the house ! Next to the visitors bench - Colorado , the team we were there to see . Well worth the trip from Montreal!

  • Horrible-didn’t make it through the gate

    by B on 12/7/21Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 1 out of 5

After waiting in line at the entrance gate for quiet a while in cold and in a blizzard , was told to change to another gate on the other side of the arena for bag check for what happened to be my daughter’s (small child) snack pack. Basically the size of a lunchbox. Obviously this line was now much longer and slower due to all the purses and bags that were being checked. My daughter got too cold waiting outside and we had to go back home not wanting to wait another what seemed to be a half hour wait in the cold and blizzard after the first 45minutes.

  • game was great - minor inconvenience

    by James83 on 12/7/21Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 4 out of 5

better communication on Woman not being allowed to bring a purse bigger then 4x6 in the arena would be good - luckily we came by car but if we had come by public transport it would have been a disaster . thanks
