Ottawa Senators History

The original Ottawa Senators were founded in 1883 and were one of the founding teams of the NHL during its early years, winning 11 Stanley Cup Championships between 1903 and 1927. When the NHL started to expand to the U.S., the Senators were sold to St. Louis and became the Eagles, but the team shuttered after one year. The second incarnation of the Senators joined the NHL in 1992. The Senators have since gone on to make the Stanley Cup Playoffs 16 times.

by Jacqueline on 10/24/22Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 4 out of 5

It was a good time, nice way to spend an evening with friends. The parking was a tad chaotic and thr concessions over priced but that's to be expected. It was my first NHL game so it was nice they won

  • Four stars

by T daddy on 10/23/22Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 4 out of 5

They advertised $5 but that wasn’t at the game it was outside. And there could have been more concession personnel. It was clean and staff were very helpful and pleasant

  • Ottawa Senators 2022-23 Season Home Opener

by ML on 10/21/22Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 4 out of 5

Great atmosphere. The team is exciting. Accessing the CTC remains a challenge, it is difficult to get into and out of the parking. The CTC itself is a bit dated...but its biggest problem is the terrible location. Do everything you can to move downtown.

  • Totay awesome!!

    by Firebird57 on 10/21/22Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 5 out of 5

From the time we entered the parking lot to the time we left was an awesome experience. The food was a little pricey, but I always look forward to a nice big slice of pizza( or two ) to get my evening started. The atmosphere was amazing and so was the game. Iverall a great experience.

  • Dissatisfied

by Ally on 9/30/22Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 3 out of 5

I went to see the practice and it didn’t happen due to no ice. I was hoping you get Giroux’s autograph but he wasn’t singing that day.

  • Poor Organized

by Disappointed on 9/28/22Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 1 out of 5

There were long slow moving lines for everything. We spent 1.5 hrs waiting for face painting only to run out of time and leave empty handed. The same was happening at most of the stands. The practices being cancelled didn't help either. It was basically of wasre of our time and a disappointment for the whole family.

  • Poor Organization

by David’s Group on 9/28/22Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 2 out of 5

Kaos outside the building for Fanfest! People lined up forever and not sure why. I walked right in without lining up! No announcement indoors or out that on ice cancelled and I was there til 10:30. I noticed an email at 10:19 way to late and useless for people without phones. Need to be way better structured if you expect people to continue going!

  • Was great

    by Amyot65 on 9/28/22Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 5 out of 5

  • Not a Sens fan but...

by Micah on 5/3/22Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 5 out of 5

I'm not a Sens fan (Leaf fan) but was in Ottawa and decided to take in a game. The atmosphere and value was amazing! In between periods had tons of entertainment, the arena staff was all very friendly. Only spent a fraction of what I did for an obstructed view at Scotia Bank Arena. Definitely would go again

  • 400 Level Suite Experience at Canadian Tire Centre

by gardnercpg on 4/28/22Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 5 out of 5

We had a wonderful experience at the Sens vs Montreal game on 23Apr22. Our tickets were delivered by Chris and downloaded with no problems. Our hostess, Kim, was excellent. We had preordered food, which was served on-time. Food was warm and delicious. Beer was cold and constantly replenished. This has become an annual tradition and we thoroughly enjoy every year.

  • Did not attend

by Garage guy on 4/26/22Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 1 out of 5

  • Leaf Game

    by Mission22 on 4/19/22Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 4 out of 5

Very courteous staff. Great family experience. Would like to see the doors open a bit earlier to avoid long lineups so close to game time.

  • Awesome 🤩

by MC on 4/19/22Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 4 out of 5

Experience was exciting, music and contests throughout the game made for enthusiasm from the audience! Only down side was the ppl that were allowed to vape in plain view of security and event staff, their vaping made our experience not that great, as bylaws were ignored by personnel

  • Good time,great vibe

by Bud fan on 4/19/22Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 5 out of 5

Good seats good people. Sorry for sens fans leaf fans dominate

  • Amenities

by KatieB on 4/19/22Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 4 out of 5

Happy with staff service and their patience and professionalism. Would like more food choices. Only complaint is the nightmare scenerio trying to get out of the parking lot at the end of the game.

  • Ticketmaster and beer.

by JB on 4/19/22Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 3 out of 5

Great game, but ticketmaster could use some ease of use improvement. BUT most of all, the beer, I get it, it's going to be over priced, but can we actually get good beer? If I'm paying that much, I don't want a Coors.
