About

Orville Peck on Tour

Mysterious cowboy rocker Orville Peck and his band perform a theatrical version of vintage country music: Sequins, fringe, big hats and the singer's trademark masks, which obscure his face both on stage and off. It's no staid night at the saloon - his backing players are Toronto post-punk band the Frigs, and Peck performs his nocturnal, road-worn songs with bravado. After touring alongside indie-folkers Lord Huron in the beginning of 2019, Peck set off for months of headlining shows in America, Canada and Europe. His festival bookings include Austin City Limits, London's Visions Festival, Washington's Thing, North Carolina's Hopscotch, Nashville's AmericanaFest, Norway's Oya, Sweden's Way Out West, Texas' Trans-Pecos, Pitchfork Paris and Iceland Airwaves.

Orville Peck in Concert

Who is that masked man? Enigmatic troubadour and outlaw country sensation Orville Peck emerged in 2017, a Canadian cowboy who's part rodeo, part Twin Peaks. Though he prefers to keep his identity a riddle - photographed and performing exclusively in one of his fringed masks - Peck has admitted he's played in punk bands in the past, and was a fan of Johnny Cash, X and Neil Young. Released in 2017, his debut single "Dead of Night" was a twilight pick-up truck drive through 1950s twang, '90s dream pop and contemporary indie rock. He promptly signed to esteemed independent label Sub Pop, which released his 12-song debut album, Pony, in 2019. Painting himself as "psychedelic outlaw cowboy" who "croons love and loss from the badlands of North America," Peck sings deeply personal stories and songs under haunting, nostalgic reverb. His debut made an impact thanks to its gauzy textures, vivid storytelling and queer narratives that subvert country masculinity. It made such a splash that Pony ended up on the long list for the Polaris Prize less than two months after its release.

  • Great show, bad sound

by Erin on 8/2/24The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Orville Peck was truly incredible, as was his band. He’s a talented musician and a captivating showman, and I would absolutely see him again. However, the sound at The Factory leaves much to be desired. The highs and lows came through well enough, but the mids were completely blown out, making everything kind of flat and garbled. All sound came from two lone speaker stacks blaring by the stage. Hoping Orville Peck comes by St. Louis again to one of our better venues (hello, Stifel and the Pageant!) for a fuller experience.

  • The price of frozen water these days

by Jill on 8/2/24The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 4 out of 5

Great venue, great concert Prices of cocktails a bit elevated, I expected that. However! I did not expect to be charged $4 for ice! Ice, for crying out loud. Give me a break. You make enough off the drinks

Great vibes. Exactly what I expected. Will definitely see again.

  • A fantastic show

by Ron on 7/31/24Riverfront Park - HarrisburgRating: 5 out of 5

Orville Peck played one of the best concerts I've seen. It helped that I know all of his music. He interacted with the crowd that came to see him. Along with his 2 opening acts; it was a great night of music! I would encourage anyone to go see Orville live in concert.

  • 10/10 if you get the chance to see him don’t hesitate

It was such a fun experience everyone in the crowd was dressed up and the show was amazing.

  • One of the best concerts ever!

by Timswhims on 7/30/24Rating: 5 out of 5

Hands down one of my favorite concerts ever! Not only was Orville extremely talented, playing guitar, harmonica, and piano…his voice and stylish sex appeal made me hang on every word with my jaw on the floor. Orville also seemed incredibly sweet and had a wicked sense of humor. The only thing I regret is not buying the VIP package! This concert was one I will never forget!!

  • Bad sound & lighting obscured Orville

by BCcat on 7/11/24UBC - Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - VancouverRating: 1 out of 5

We attended at UBC Thunderbird Arena and were very disappointed. The sound was horribly muddy and overly amped to the point of being painful. Orville desperately needs a follow spot because the stage lighting is the worst I’ve ever seen. So dim! If we’d not had a guest from out of town with us we would have left. Very disappointing show, and we all are big fans.

  • Don’t miss it!!!

by Dave on 7/11/24UBC - Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Orville blows me away with his originality, Best ever!!! concert I have been to in awhile and I saw the Stones the previous week. Backed by his tight talented band the evening rushed by with wanting for more. Hope to catch Orville again in Oregon this fall.🍀

  • Couldn’t see Orville

by Steve on 7/11/24UBC - Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - VancouverRating: 1 out of 5

UBC Thunderbird arena sold seats with obstructed views, without disclosure. If you see an even with general admission pit offered, do not purchase seats in the front row. The general admission barriers prevent you from seeing the performance unless you are freakishly tall. Super disappointed.

  • An Amazing Time!!

by MJ on 7/10/24Artpark Outdoor Amphitheater - LewistonRating: 5 out of 5

I went with my Mom and we had the best time! He sounds immaculate in person and does a lot of crowd interaction which surprised me. Definitely could tell he is a very humble and grateful person with how much he thanked the crowd for being there. If you are able to see him live don't miss the opportunity.

  • Awesome show!!!

by SeanRyan on 7/10/24Armory - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I absolutely loved the show! Got the no reins ticket got a sweet vip lanyard. This was my second Orville Peck concert I went to, and this on was a lot better bigger venue with a lot more people. Now I’m just waiting on the rest of my vip bundle to be shipped to my house.

  • Amazing!

by Becky on 7/9/24Artpark Outdoor Amphitheater - LewistonRating: 5 out of 5

This was such a good concert! Plus there was food and drinks and the bathroom situation wasn’t too bad! Had a great time!

  • Poor View/Sound mixing

by Steve on 7/9/24Rating: 3 out of 5

Orville did his best, as usual. Extremely talented, humble and fun!! Unfortunately my view was obstructed by the general admission barriers. At times, the sound mixing was off and it was hard to hear Orville over the music.

  • Audience connection and pure talent

by Trinket on 7/8/24Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

A fantastic show, my first time seeing Orville Peck and his band play, and they did not disappoint my expectations. I always appreciate when an artist takes the time to introduce their band and Orville did so very well. He builds a great connection with his audience by references to his personal experiences and also creating a safe and fun environment all while showcasing pure talent with AMAZING vocals, energy, and instruments. 10/10 !!

  • Great evening

by Claudio on 7/7/24Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Would recommend, great band, sexy vocals, touching songs, awesome crowd.

  • Great concert but long night...

by KJ on 7/6/24The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

Loved Orville! Would 100% see his show again! Two openers was a tall ask for a standing audience. Goldie Boutilier was great, would have listened to her longer! The War and Treaty were a total miss. Not sure how they complemented the other acts at all, and their sound mix was painful.

  • Orville Peck was Fantastic

by Announcer Mike on 7/6/24Artpark Outdoor Amphitheater - LewistonRating: 5 out of 5

What a great performance at ArtPark, Lewiston NY. Goldie Boutilier warm up, followed by the stunning and awesome The War and Treaty, leading to an amazing performance by Orville Peck. Excellent venue, perfect sound quality, decent night at the outdoor amphitheater. We had the best time in a safe space with great fans from Canada and all parts of the U.S.

  • Amazing Evening!

by Lisa on 7/6/24Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best concerts of the season! Orville is a wonderful entertainer on stage. While rocking us with his music, he charmed us with his warmth and vulnerability. So happy he is back on tour and sharing his music with us!
