About

Orville Peck on Tour

Mysterious cowboy rocker Orville Peck and his band perform a theatrical version of vintage country music: Sequins, fringe, big hats and the singer's trademark masks, which obscure his face both on stage and off. It's no staid night at the saloon - his backing players are Toronto post-punk band the Frigs, and Peck performs his nocturnal, road-worn songs with bravado. After touring alongside indie-folkers Lord Huron in the beginning of 2019, Peck set off for months of headlining shows in America, Canada and Europe. His festival bookings include Austin City Limits, London's Visions Festival, Washington's Thing, North Carolina's Hopscotch, Nashville's AmericanaFest, Norway's Oya, Sweden's Way Out West, Texas' Trans-Pecos, Pitchfork Paris and Iceland Airwaves.

Orville Peck in Concert

Who is that masked man? Enigmatic troubadour and outlaw country sensation Orville Peck emerged in 2017, a Canadian cowboy who's part rodeo, part Twin Peaks. Though he prefers to keep his identity a riddle - photographed and performing exclusively in one of his fringed masks - Peck has admitted he's played in punk bands in the past, and was a fan of Johnny Cash, X and Neil Young. Released in 2017, his debut single "Dead of Night" was a twilight pick-up truck drive through 1950s twang, '90s dream pop and contemporary indie rock. He promptly signed to esteemed independent label Sub Pop, which released his 12-song debut album, Pony, in 2019. Painting himself as "psychedelic outlaw cowboy" who "croons love and loss from the badlands of North America," Peck sings deeply personal stories and songs under haunting, nostalgic reverb. His debut made an impact thanks to its gauzy textures, vivid storytelling and queer narratives that subvert country masculinity. It made such a splash that Pony ended up on the long list for the Polaris Prize less than two months after its release.

  • Orville Peck is the real deal!

by Jamie Kristen on 8/29/24Ascend Amphitheater - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Orville Peck is the real deal! He is one of the most talented and multi-facted artists I have seen in a long time. Beyond that, he brings this class and sophistication to ground level, drawing his audience in, like a father gathering his children for a story in their family room. He is down-to-earth, straight-forward, and easily one of the most like-able artists I've seen. I would definitely like to see him again.

  • Best Music Festival Ever

by Cody on 8/28/24Ascend Amphitheater - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Orville Peck's 6th Rodeo was one of the best music events I've been to in a long time. It was organized, the line up was excellent and I felt safe at each venue. The venue change each night was excellent because it made it feel different each night. I would absolutely attend again!

Orville Peck is one of the best performers of his time. His talent and compassion shine in the company he keeps and in how he treats his band and his audience. The Rodeo in Nashville was amazing and we will def be back next year! Thank you, Orville!

by James on 8/27/24Ascend Amphitheater - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Attended Orville Peck’s three-day Rodeo event in Nashville, Tennessee. From start to finish, it was the best experience ever. Andrea, the VIP host, was an absolute treasure. She went above and beyond to make sure everybody was taken care of. She definitely made the event worthwhile. Looking forward to more concerts with Orville Peck.

This concert was amazing. It is always amazing when you can see someone sing in real life who exceeds your expectations. The interaction with the crowd was fantastic and I loved the opening bands as well.

  • Fun but dislike the venue

by CowboyCars on 8/12/24The Union - Salt Lake CityRating: 4 out of 5

This was my second time seeing Orville, and he just is such an amazing performer. Truly a fantastic showman. However, the venue was lack luster. No service whatsoever once you enter the doors and it is way too hot. It seems there is no proper ventilation in there. This is my complaint every time I go to this venue. People get hot and start to get woozy and pass out. Besides that, fantastic show and I can’t wait for him to return to Utah!!

  • Orville was wonderful!

by Marky-Mark on 8/12/24The Union - Salt Lake CityRating: 5 out of 5

I really enjoyed seeing Orville Peck. It was a simple stage but he was singing great and his band was very tight. You can tell that they were having a good time. The audience was really into the show too, which made for a great concert.

  • Fun Fun Fun

    by Dean19106 on 8/9/24Riverfront Park - HarrisburgRating: 5 out of 5

Great venue, Orville was awesome. What a voice this man possesses. The stage was a decent size and the lights worked for the venue. Great drinks, my sister and I danced and sang along. I’ve been an Orville fan since the beginning. He’s a bit theoretical and kitschy but that voice, omg, just beautiful. Really enjoyed myself next to the river in Harrisburg and would definitely see another show there.

  • Found a new Favorite

by Mark from St Louis on 8/4/24The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

I didn’t care much for either of the opening acts. They were both extremely difficult to understand. Orville sounded awesome, interacted well with the audience. Loved his sing choices and his Merch choices were awesome.

Orville Peck's July 30, 2024 concert at The Factory in Chesterfield, Missouri was incredible. This is the first time I have seen Orville Peck live and his stage presence and charisma were off the charts as was his voice and his band. His setlist was wonderful. He sang the songs I wanted to hear with passion and excellence. I certainly hope he returns here on his next tour. You can be sure I will be back!
