The songs we thought were going to be sung were sung at the end of the concert, and were sung by his kids and grandkids. I did not get what I paid for and was very very disappointed.
Fantastic evening of funk that shows how inclusive funk music is. A real consortium of talented musicians and style. A wonderful chance to experience the power of The Funk. Couldn’t stop grooving for days, it’s infectious!!!
Awesome Show Awesome Show Awesome Show Awesome Show
I loved it all.Only wish We could attend the rest of the tour. The opening acts were awesome rap funk rock even metal, we boogied and we thrashed. Blessings to all the members on their retirement or future projects.
My husband and I enjoyed the concert, but the groups before the main event went far too long. The three groups before George Clinton were overkill. My husband and I became a little bored and antsy. We enjoyed George Clinton, but his performance was short. If I attend another George Clinton concert, I will be sure not to arrive until around 8:45 pm. I believe George Clinton came on stage around 9 pm. I’d begun to feel sleepy while waiting.
Funk that dirty should never be in a venue so sterile. The only people who should be playing at a venue like that are Celine Dion or Josh Groban. Everything about was weird and disturbing. It felt like you were watching a concert at a mall. Definitely not the place you want to see P-Funk. Never going back to that venue ever.
We had to sit through 4 other bands before P-Funk made an appearance. I'm not knocking helping out new artists but when it takes time away from the main artist that you came to see then there's a problem! Finally P-Funk came on and played about an hour. They did not do Mothership Connection amongst other hits that they didn't play. A lot of the show was filler and too much rap!! Younger singers kept talking about them being "third generation" members. Well, I'm sorry they don't need to do rap. They're the funkiest band around and have been for years without doing rap. It's the rappers who have to take from them. I've seen them throughout the years since the 72 or 73 at the Whiskey in LA. They've always put on a great show and played everything, all their hits and it's one big long party. It's not the musicianship the band sounded great, the singers are great, George was excellent but it just could have been so much more with just them. That's all we needed P-Funk and nuthin' but the P- Funk!!
Not PFunk anymore. I was expecting OG songs. PFunk is not Rap!!! We payed for a concert to hear George Clinton Parliament Funckedelic music. Not the nonsense we witnessed.
George Clinton still has it after 60 plus years in the business,,love it
