OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW

RETURN TO AUSTRALIA IN SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER

PERFORMING “BLONDE ON BLONDE”

WITH SPECIAL GUEST VALERIE JUNE

Acclaimed Statesiders OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW will return to Australia for the first time in eight years to play a string of East Coast dates this September and October, in addition to their already-announced performance at the Caloundra Music Festival. On their Australian shows, Old Crow Medicine Show will pay tribute to their music icon, Bob Dylan, by playing his seminal 1966 album, Blonde On Blonde, in full.

Hailing from the Birthplace of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Memphian and fellow Tennessean VALERIE JUNE, who has shared the stage with the likes of Sharon Jones, Sturgill Simpson, Jake Bugg and more, will join Old Crow Medicine Show on their Australian run, rounding out an authentic ‘Taste of Americana’ double-bill for local audiences.

Old Crow Medicine Show and the beguiling Valerie June promise to deliver a night of authentic Tennessee tunes when they touch down in Australia later this year, traversing country, blues, roots and more, with a little bit of soul and gospel thrown in for good measure.

  • OCMS was GREAT!! Felice Bros. were AWESOME!

by Lauriejane on 9/21/09Von Braun Center Concert Hall - HuntsvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Old Crow was really cool, but I gotta hand it to the Felice Bros. I was more impressed by them! The guy that plays the washboard was so full of energy and it really got us up dancing in our seats!!

  • Great show!

Old Crow Medicine Show was incredible - my only criticism would be the sound mixer - with bluegrass, it's best to emphasize the voices, and they kept getting drowned out completely by the instrumentation. All in all though, well worth the money and the drive from Birmingham.

  • GREAT SHOW!

This was a great show, very upbeat and great stage presence. Really kept the crowd excited.

The show was great! Old Crow Medicine Show was awesome and we really enjoyed the Felice Brothers. I had never heard Felice before and I've found a new band. When they partnered up on stage, it just couldn't be better! Thanks for starting your East Coast tour in good ole' Alabama!!

My son & I attended the Old Crow Medicine Show concert in Huntsville, AL this past Friday night. I have had occasion in my 60 years (and, yes, to the great bunch of young fans from Ft. Payne sitting in front of us, I actually am 60) to see such great acts as The Four Tops, The Temptations, Elton John (6 times), Janis Joplin, Art Garfunkel, The Fifth Dimension, and the BeeGees (just to name a few); and I can honestly say that Old Crow put on as great a concert as I have ever been to. I will be checking their Web site to see when they will be back in my area. It is a concert I will not want to miss. Great job guys. Your music is a timeless part of the American musical scene.

  • What a show!

We had a great time. This is a fun bunch of guys playing great music. Well worth the price of admission. I can't wait to see them again.

  • Great show!

by william930 on 9/19/09Von Braun Center Concert Hall - HuntsvilleRating: 5 out of 5

If you enjoy some good ol' bluegrass this band is a must see! This was their second show that is one of three in a west coast tour. Willie Wilson has an incredible multi-instrument musical showcase that features Old Crow originals as well as classic boogie, country, and bluegrass covers. I would definitely recommend checking out this show!

  • GGGRRREEEAAATTTTT SHOW!!!!

This was on of the BEST concerts I've seen... And I've been to see most of the BIG names in country music... The live show was just as good OR better than on the internet..... IF YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO SEE THESE GUYS..... GO SEE THE SHOW!!!!!!!!!

The show was just spectacular! I was so impressed at how all the band members played multiple instruments. I wanted them to play much longer - I could have listened to them all night! :)

  • OCMS rocked the park!

by junion on 8/31/09Harris Riverfront Park - HuntingtonRating: 5 out of 5

First off, Harris Riverfront Park is the perfect venue for OMCS. They put on an amazing show and sounded excellent, as I expected!

  • Old Crow on the river was a blast!!!

by Apez on 8/31/09Harris Riverfront Park - HuntingtonRating: 5 out of 5

One question...why do we not have more shows like this at Harris Riverfront? The venue was perfect for a band like Old Crow. Room to dance, lay out a blanket, or rest your bootie on bleacher style seating. If you've never seen an Old Crow show, you are missing out. High energy, feel-good fun, and great times had by all! I need more...

  • OCMS was well worth the rain!!

by Trashley on 8/31/09Harris Riverfront Park - HuntingtonRating: 4 out of 5

Had so much fun!! Wish there would have been an opening band considering the ticket prices.

  • Never a disappointment

OCMS never ceases to amaze. From their opening song to the encore their energy is amazing and their muscianship and stage presence is also unbelievable. They are always on top of their game and tonight was no different. This is the 6th time ive seen them and the 3rd time this year.
