OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW

RETURN TO AUSTRALIA IN SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER

PERFORMING “BLONDE ON BLONDE”

WITH SPECIAL GUEST VALERIE JUNE

Acclaimed Statesiders OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW will return to Australia for the first time in eight years to play a string of East Coast dates this September and October, in addition to their already-announced performance at the Caloundra Music Festival. On their Australian shows, Old Crow Medicine Show will pay tribute to their music icon, Bob Dylan, by playing his seminal 1966 album, Blonde On Blonde, in full.

Hailing from the Birthplace of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Memphian and fellow Tennessean VALERIE JUNE, who has shared the stage with the likes of Sharon Jones, Sturgill Simpson, Jake Bugg and more, will join Old Crow Medicine Show on their Australian run, rounding out an authentic ‘Taste of Americana’ double-bill for local audiences.

Old Crow Medicine Show and the beguiling Valerie June promise to deliver a night of authentic Tennessee tunes when they touch down in Australia later this year, traversing country, blues, roots and more, with a little bit of soul and gospel thrown in for good measure.

  • Great headline performance, terrible opening act.

by Bill on 7/26/23Rating: 4 out of 5

So glad I stayed for the performance of Old Crow. Great musicians, high energy performance, and they certainly give a nice long concert. Almost left at the first intermission. The opening act, Pillbox Patti, was terrible. Terrible song writing and performance, I have seen so much better cover bands in the valley, The fans I talked to shared the same assessment of her performance.

The opening act was terrible. Old crow puts on an entertaining show but missed them playing ways if man.

  • Disappointed

Pillbox Patty opened the show. She was terrible. We sat through her hour-long performance because we really wanted to see Old Crow Medicine Show. After agonizing her performance and a 15 minute intermission, we were delightfully treated to OCMS's first number which was great. Unfortunately, their songs didn't vary much after that. Only a couple of them were very good. Others were so-so.

  • 5-Star, Old Style Hootenanny Fun!

Wonderful, fun-filled concert! Come back to Arizona soon!

  • Not what we expected

by Disappointed on 7/25/23Rating: 1 out of 5

The opening act was like listening to nails on a chalk board! Disappointed with Old Crow also and we left early, not what we expected.

  • Old Crow is Outstanding

by whack a mole on 7/25/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Old Crow was outstanding but the opening act "Pillbox Patti "was absolutely awful. She is a good singer but I think her songs were ones she had written and not only did they all sound the same, they were all equally bad. I talked to friends that attended that I jam with regularly and they all agree with me. If they Dump Patti the show is definitely a five star.

  • Amazing Show

by Wells Herd on 7/25/23Rating: 5 out of 5

We had a blast with our grown children and their spouses (12 of us) at the Old Crown Medicine Show concert. We’ve been fans for years and this was our first time seeing them in person! They didn’t disappoint! They are very entertaining; they had us dancing, laughing, clapping, and signing along. Definitely a must see concert. Highly recommended!!

  • It was a lot of fun and really great music

  • Awesome show!

by PamH on 7/24/23Rating: 5 out of 5

We absolutely loved the show. One of my top concerts ever! Great mix of music (hits, covers, even an a capella chanty). High energy throughout, and all musicians were highlighted. I will definitely go next time they are in town!

  • Great time!

These guys have a such great vibe. Always so much fun!

  • Old Crow Gave It All!

by Jamie on 7/23/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Old Crow Medicine Show brought every ounce of Energy they had. They were funny, high energy and sounded great. They engaged the audience constantly and got everyone dancing! The venue could have done a better soundcheck and given them better sound quality, but their natural talent and energy overcame the venue’s mediocre sound levels. This venue normally had phenomenal sound, so it was a little disappointing sound-wise. Old crow was a pleasure to see and we had a hootenanny!

  • Inspiring

by SO on 7/23/23Rating: 4 out of 5

I made it a goal to see OCMS live over day, and I'm grateful that day finally came. Amazing talent, amazing energy. The instruments did blare over the vocals a few times, but for the most part we got great acoustics at the Chandler Center for the Arts. One thing I wish the venue would have done is enforced people to sit down. We had a group of people stand up and dance in place immediately once the band came on, obstructing most of the stage. They didn't sit down until the show was over; everyone else was sitting for 80% of the show. We left and found some empty seats in the back, but essentially ended up paying more money to see the backsides of drunk strangers and then having to relocate to the back wall.

  • Great time in Grand Juction

by Docoflife on 7/21/23Rating: 5 out of 5

The opener was great. Followed by a amazing performance by OCMS. Would recommend for anyone who loves to dance and enjoy some good bluegrass. Definitely provided the good medicine.

Beyond lame showmen’s ship. Talented, yes. Original, in any capacity, no. I lost count of how many other artists’ music they covered.
