OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW

RETURN TO AUSTRALIA IN SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER

PERFORMING “BLONDE ON BLONDE”

WITH SPECIAL GUEST VALERIE JUNE

Acclaimed Statesiders OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW will return to Australia for the first time in eight years to play a string of East Coast dates this September and October, in addition to their already-announced performance at the Caloundra Music Festival. On their Australian shows, Old Crow Medicine Show will pay tribute to their music icon, Bob Dylan, by playing his seminal 1966 album, Blonde On Blonde, in full.

Hailing from the Birthplace of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Memphian and fellow Tennessean VALERIE JUNE, who has shared the stage with the likes of Sharon Jones, Sturgill Simpson, Jake Bugg and more, will join Old Crow Medicine Show on their Australian run, rounding out an authentic ‘Taste of Americana’ double-bill for local audiences.

Old Crow Medicine Show and the beguiling Valerie June promise to deliver a night of authentic Tennessee tunes when they touch down in Australia later this year, traversing country, blues, roots and more, with a little bit of soul and gospel thrown in for good measure.

We had a great time. We saw Pillbox Patti and Old Crow. It was a fun night with overpriced drinks and food!

First time at Penn’s Peak & first time seeing Old Crow Medicine Show live. Awesome band! Awesome venue! General seating was great. You were able to choose up front standing or a seated view. We chose right up front! Anywhere in house would be excellent. Sound was amazing! Hope to return for another concert.

  • Old Crow was Awesome!

Everything was so right about this show. What an awesome venue Penns Peak is! And the band OMG! I brought 3 non-fan friends from Jersey that went just to appease me. Right from the opening song they were clapping and foot stomping along with everyone else. Highly recommend even if not a country/bluegrass fan.

  • very energetic and entertaining

Unfortunately I could not hear the rightmost microphone. The man at that microphone was a big part of the show and I missed it all.

Loved the venue. Perfect place to see a concert. Went with friends to see Old Crow. Not nuts about the band. Didn’t seem any original members are left in the band so it resembled more of a tribute/cover type band. Also not a huge fan of mountain music, which doesn’t help.

  • Was a great high energy performance

  • Penn's Peak Peaks w/Old Crow

by CV on 4/24/23Penn's Peak - Jim ThorpeRating: 5 out of 5

Top notch musicians doing what they do so well! Great banter, great musicianship and engagement with the crowd. 5 banjo minimum really should be a law.

About as groovy as groovy gets. Phenomenal energy from the band for two hours straight.

  • Great as always

by Joe on 4/16/23Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium - SpartanburgRating: 5 out of 5

From the beginning to the end all you want to do is stand up and move. Also the originality of the songs are wonderful. Can’t wait until we see them again

High energy and entertaining show. The individual band members were all over the place, on different instruments and constantly interacting with one another. Very fun show!

  • Never miss a show

by Buffaloroe on 1/2/23Taft Theatre - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

We never tire of repeat Old Crow shows. Love how they personalize the experience to our area. Cincinnati defense has its quirks. The newest members have filled in nicely. Already planning on next year’s show here and a few in between ❤️😊🎶

  • Amazing show

by MT on 1/2/23Taft Theatre - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

High energy and so fun! I bought the tickets for husband and I didn’t know the music. Didn’t matter, they were amazing! Interacted with the crowd. Not only did I have fun, but it looked like they were having fun too!

  • Best Concert Ever!!!! I will forever be an Old Crow Fan.

    by MBall76 on 1/1/23Taft Theatre - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

I took my husband to the show in Cincinnati as part of his Christmas present. This was hands down the best concert I have ever been too. I’ve been to Taylor Swift, Machine Gun Kelly, Garth Brooks and they were all good but Old Crow was out of this world. They are so musically talented. Each member plays multiple instruments and are so entertaining. It’s a show I would recommend to anyone regardless of your music genre preference.

  • 5 stars for sure

They better every time I see them live. Awesome, thank you for being you.

  • So many bad local references.

by MikeG on 1/1/23Taft Theatre - CincinnatiRating: 1 out of 5

One of the most annoying shows i’ve ever seen. it seems like they are all coked out and playing every song way too fast. even the slow songs are sped up to an annoying level. they are way over the top jumping and dancing around. almost seemed like a bad show like actors portraying musicians in dolly world or a cruise ship, like nothing seemed genuine like they were into the music, it was all very awkward /over the top and forced. And between every song they make these really bad attempts to connect with the audience by making references to local brands/ regional dishes / landmarks/ amusement parks and anything or everything else they think will get a clap. it’s like if you don’t have anything Interesting to say or good stories to tell you don’t have to do research on where I live and try to make me cheer and clap over skyline chili, graters ice cream, larosa’s pizza, goetta, rhinegeist, kings island, the licking river, bakersfield….. no exaggeration these was what all they talked about for the hour I stayed before getting annoyed and leaving.
