OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW

RETURN TO AUSTRALIA IN SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER

PERFORMING “BLONDE ON BLONDE”

WITH SPECIAL GUEST VALERIE JUNE

Acclaimed Statesiders OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW will return to Australia for the first time in eight years to play a string of East Coast dates this September and October, in addition to their already-announced performance at the Caloundra Music Festival. On their Australian shows, Old Crow Medicine Show will pay tribute to their music icon, Bob Dylan, by playing his seminal 1966 album, Blonde On Blonde, in full.

Hailing from the Birthplace of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Memphian and fellow Tennessean VALERIE JUNE, who has shared the stage with the likes of Sharon Jones, Sturgill Simpson, Jake Bugg and more, will join Old Crow Medicine Show on their Australian run, rounding out an authentic ‘Taste of Americana’ double-bill for local audiences.

Old Crow Medicine Show and the beguiling Valerie June promise to deliver a night of authentic Tennessee tunes when they touch down in Australia later this year, traversing country, blues, roots and more, with a little bit of soul and gospel thrown in for good measure.

  • Not the best show

by Harleyman452 on 7/13/24The Rose Music Center at The Heights - Huber HeightsRating: 4 out of 5

The sound wasn’t good , not sure why.. And the band could have played so much more of their own material but chose to play several song covers… All in all, not the best show I’ve seen by OCMS

  • A wasted trip

by Bill on 7/12/24The Rose Music Center at The Heights - Huber HeightsRating: 1 out of 5

My wife and I along with another couple traveled from Columbus, OH to the concert anticipating a great concert of bluegrass themed music featuring a great guitar player, Molly Tuttle, which our friend with us had researched on you-tube. Molly's band and she in particular were great musicians; however, the sound at the venue was so heavy on the bass that her voice was drowned out by the booming bass, they her was difficult to hear her, and the booming bass was a distraction. Apparently, booming bass backup appeals to younger audiences who want loud noise in place of good music. I have an expensive sound system with a subwoofer. I listen to music at a volume level which some people would feel as on the loud side, with a subwoofer bass to compliment the music, not to drown it out At the intermission of the concert at the Rose Center, our group all said we had enough, and we did not stay for the next act. A waste of time and money. I will never attend a concert again at this venue.

  • A Bit of This & A Bit of That

by Jenks on 7/12/24The Rose Music Center at The Heights - Huber HeightsRating: 4 out of 5

The group far exceeded my original expectations . I had never heard of them & from the beginning they were upbeat & musically very good . The warm up band was very good also ! Their lead singer had a great voice . The harmony & musical style of Old Crow Medicine Show will carry them a long way . I would not hesitate to put them on my go see list !!

Love the band and love the energy that they bring. Have been following for 15 plus years. Why they play covers of other band is beyond me.

I'll be honest, I have not listened to OCMS a lot, but my husband is a big fan! I went in with very little expectation, but the band was high energy, sounded great, and went strong for 3 hours! The opener, Molly Tuttle, was also amazing! I would watch them again for sure!

  • Best concert ever

by Betsy in Sandy on 6/23/24Sandy Amphitheater - SandyRating: 5 out of 5

Incredible concert. Molly Tuttle opening was a wonderful surprise. So much music, so much enthusiasm from the band and from the crowd. It was topped off by the full moon rising as we were all singing Wagon Wheel. Outdoor concerts can't be beat.

Don't miss seeing the Old Crow Medicine Show if near you! They are a rousing good time. Every member can play multiple instruments and sing. Their performances are filled with crazy energy and full of old-time, Americana, bluegrass, alternative country and folk-country fused with rock and roll.

  • Amazing performance as always

  • An amazing, entertaining evening!

by Broken on 6/18/24Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

First saw Old Crow Medicine Show at the Edmonton Folk Festival in 2023 and thought that is how a live show is done. Great energy, funny, very talented musicians, touching at times. To hear the whole "hillside"singing "Wagon Wheel"was amazing. I couldn't wait to see them again and they didn't disappoint. Great versions of classics. Once again, a theater full singing along to Wagon Wheel... and then an encore that included The Weight. This show was my father's day gift from my adult children -- so it was a great way to share an evening with them.

  • An Amazing Experience!

by Joy on 6/18/24Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

Old Crow Medicine Show with Molly Tuttle was one of the best concerts I’ve ever experienced! I did not know what to expect as it was my first time seeing them live, but wow…they did not disappoint! Every one of the musicians that performed from both bands was amazingly multi-talented and full of energy. To play for 3 1/2 hours without a break, with the incredible talent that was displayed with each and every instrument that was played was just awesome! As I have always been a fervent fan of Rock music, I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this Country music experience half as much as I did. I would tell anyone reading this review that no matter what your favorite genre of music is, you need to go see these bands in person. You won’t be sorry! 😊
