About

Icelandic six-piece Of Monsters and Men have delighted audiences around the world with their uplifting English folk-pop sound, full of soaring harmonies and captivating melodies. The monster hit “Little Talks” was many fans’ introduction to the band – it was certified Platinum in the US, reaching No. 1 on the US Alternative chart. 2013 saw the band wowing ticket buyers at live concerts and festivals, showing they’re just as talented on stage as in the recording studio. Formed in 2010, the band met with success quickly, winning Iceland’s annual band competition Músíktilraunir later that year. In 2011, Of Monsters and Men signed to Record Records and released the Into the Woods EP. Their debut album My Head is an Animal was released in Iceland in September 2011 and in the US in April 2012 by the Universal Music Group. The album – full of  acoustically driven, infectiously energetic folk-rock – peaked at No. 6 on the US Billboard 200 album chart and reached the top 5 in Australia, Canada, Germany, and the UK.

  • Third time but always a charm!

by CapsFan on 11/6/25The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This is the second time we have seen Of Monsters and Men at Anthem and the third time we have seen them in total. They are great! The lights and sound were energetic and the band interaction was fun. Only thing was that they ended with two slow songs- would have love to end with more energy!

  • wonderful band, engaging show

by alex on 11/6/25The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

6 years since Fever Dream, I saw a more mature band, a more personal tone and more natural instruments. Wonderful band, Fruit Bat closing was amazing.

  • Of Monsters & Men are awesome!

by Arm on 11/5/25Brooklyn Paramount - BrooklynRating: 5 out of 5

The venue, the band, the live music, energy, was all so captivating. Went with a good friend of mine and it was truly awesome to be apart of.

  • Wonderful Performance!

by Ellen on 11/5/25Brooklyn Paramount - BrooklynRating: 5 out of 5

OMAM’s show at the Paramount was a delight! The sound quality was great, the crowd was polite but enthusiastic, and the mix of songs contained fan favorite classics and hits from their new album. I loved the interior of the Paramount, and the band added to the atmosphere with lights and scenery.

  • Great Venue to watch this concert!!

by Indie Music Lover on 1/11/20The Fillmore Charlotte presented by Cricket Wireless - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

I loved everything about the venue, the opening act and of course the main act Of Monsters and Men. The only downfall, I wish the main act would have played longer than the opening act.

  • Mediocre

by M. S. on 12/6/19The Fillmore Charlotte presented by Cricket Wireless - CharlotteRating: 3 out of 5

The performance lacked the hard hitting, strong vocals found on their album. The venue had a good selection of adult beverages at venue prices, as expected. Bathrooms were clean and orderly as well. Will I come back to the Filmore? Yes. Will I pay to see Of Monsters and Men again (plus 20% “service charge)? Unlikely.

  • Great Show

by bullmoon on 12/6/19Coca-Cola Roxy - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

The Coca-Cola Roxy is one of the best venues in Atlanta with spectacular sound and a reasonably intimate viewing experience. No matter where you are, you are in a good spot. So this was the perfect place for a very vocal/harmony focused band like Of Monsters and Men. The show was great and they sounded fantastic.

  • great show, too short

by LauraLovesBlueOct on 12/6/19The Fillmore Charlotte presented by Cricket Wireless - CharlotteRating: 4 out of 5

So the venue was great. The band was amazing as usual, but the their time on stage was very short 9:10pm until 10:20pm AND no encore....Boooooo!

  • Awesome show

by RC on 12/6/19The Fillmore Charlotte presented by Cricket Wireless - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

This venue gives you a much more intimate experience. OMAM is an amazing band, and The Foxies that went on before them were great. Both bands seemed comfortable at The Fillmore which made for a more enjoyable concert.

  • Set too short

by b.김 on 12/6/19The Fillmore Charlotte presented by Cricket Wireless - CharlotteRating: 4 out of 5

I love of monsters of men and the show was awesome. However, I feel like the set was too short. Based on my photos they played for only 1 hour and 10 minutes. I never been to a concert where the headliner played for such a short time. And I’ve been to so many concerts over the years. Not sure if that was the band or the event. But would have loved if they played longer.

  • OMAM Concert

by Johnny on 12/5/19Coca-Cola Roxy - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Great show in a great venue. Of Monsters and Men is one of my favorite bands. I had never seen them live before, and i was curious how they would sound. The band did not disappoint. Great musicians with a great stage presence. I could have listened all night. The Roxy staff were helpful upon arrival. Overall, a great experience. I will definitely be back.

  • Great band!

    by C. on 10/1/19WAMU Theater - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

The official lockers (Walkers Lockers) by WaMu seemed unsecured. A plastic bin with plastic bags doesn’t make me feel that my belongings are safe.

  • What was with the blinding lights?

by Earl on 10/1/19WAMU Theater - SeattleRating: 3 out of 5

Sat up in the bleachers and the bright flashing lights were intolerable. Music was good though.

  • Good show, but long intermission

by JohnD on 10/1/19UBC - Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

Both the performances by Lower Dens and Of Monsters and Men were really good, and the light show to go with everything was fantastic. The one thing I wasn't a big fan of was the 40 MINUTE GAP between both bands. Lowers Dens finished around 8:30 PM, they threw on all the normal lights, and then Of Monsters and Men didn't come on until just after 9 PM, and then they played for about an hour.

  • Amazing!

by S. on 10/1/19UBC - Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

This band... so amazing. They nailed it. I love it when songs sound just as amazing live as they do recorded. I would see them again for sure.

  • Great show!

by music98 on 10/1/19UBC - Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing show with a good view of the stage. Of monsters and men really brought it to the stage. I definitely plan on going to see them again. I waited years for them to come to Vancouver:)

  • Venue issues

by D. on 10/1/19UBC - Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

Great Band and glad they played all their hits... problem was the sound was really poor at that venue, Thunderbird stadium.

  • Top notch entertainment!

by Laura on 10/1/19UBC - Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

My only issue was the venue. The voices echoed the while time. I would live to see them again, just not at Thunderbird Stadium.

  • Absolutely AMAZING

    by J. W. on 9/30/19WAMU Theater - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

We saw Of Monsters and Men in Seattle, and the show was nothing short of amazing!! We traveled over 1,500 miles to see them in concert, and would do it again in a heartbeat. The size of the venue really allowed for the band to interact with the crowd, which made the experience even better than just listening to the music. They put on an incredible show, and this was hands down the best concert we’ve been to! Thanks for making our trip worth all the expense, OMAM!!!!!

  • Great Performance

by Hassan on 9/29/19WAMU Theater - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Great opener to get the crow ready. All parties poured their heart and soul into everything they did. Phenomenal job!
