Icelandic six-piece Of Monsters and Men have delighted audiences around the world with their uplifting English folk-pop sound, full of soaring harmonies and captivating melodies. The monster hit “Little Talks” was many fans’ introduction to the band – it was certified Platinum in the US, reaching No. 1 on the US Alternative chart. 2013 saw the band wowing ticket buyers at live concerts and festivals, showing they’re just as talented on stage as in the recording studio. Formed in 2010, the band met with success quickly, winning Iceland’s annual band competition Músíktilraunir later that year. In 2011, Of Monsters and Men signed to Record Records and released the Into the Woods EP. Their debut album My Head is an Animal was released in Iceland in September 2011 and in the US in April 2012 by the Universal Music Group. The album – full of acoustically driven, infectiously energetic folk-rock – peaked at No. 6 on the US Billboard 200 album chart and reached the top 5 in Australia, Canada, Germany, and the UK.
The show was awesome!!! I would recommend going to see them!
It was awesome! We really felt a connection to the band and they where so nice and even threw us some guitar picks and drum sticks❤️The only down side would be the wait between the sound check and the actual show. But besides that it was so worth driving almost 3 hours, and worth every penny! Would do it all over again!!!!!!❤️ Please come back soon! To San Diego preferably❤️ We will remember that night forever❤️
Ahh they are awesome band. Loved it. Yet sad that it was so short at about 85 minutes when many bands do 120 or even longer. please
1- The venue needs a new method for letting people in... the line was insanely long and wrapped around the whole block. 2- Details of when the concert was going to start would've been nice. We got there at 6:40 thinking if started at 7 per the email... it didn't begin until 9. 3- Opening act was too long and too far apart from the actual start of the concert. 4- OMAM gave a great performance!
I’ve been listening to OMAM for years, and I got to see them live for the first time. Was amazing. They killed it. Already can’t wait for the next one.
Venue was perfect for their music genre! They blew my music expectations truly a fab concert
Rockland Trust Bank Pavilion is a great venue to watch any concert. Of Monsters and Men put on an awesome show.
The Aragon has general admission, which is not great since I'm short, but I was actually able to see the stage decently and the audio was incredible. There are no screens so make sure you pick a good place to stand. There were multiple bars so you can get a drink in multiple places and not stand in huge lines.
Show was great. The crowd kind of sucked when they wouldn’t stop talking. But what do you do about that?! Venue was nice. Good sound.
Good venue and OMAM were excellent. Sound was decent (a bit echoey) but good. Overall 👍
I love this band! They are so good live and have such great energy! I love that they play all of their hits and not just new songs off of their upcoming album.
The crowd was fully engaged and they reciprocated with a great show. The music and vocals were great. I will absolutely see them again if they make it back to my area.
Their engagement with the crowd and joke telling was thumbs up. Their quality of sound was amazing, the combination of their voices and playing of music together was a true experience.
The energy coming from the band was amazing, I felt like I was buzzing with the same energy. It was such a great show and you could tell OMAM were genuinely having a great time performing which only made the experience so much better. One of the best shows I have been to in a while.
Great show! Great venue! Would love to see them again!
Love love love this band live!!!!!!! Can't say enough about how great they were. Great sound and performance. See them live!!!
Beautiful place, and of monsters and men rocked the house
Of Monsters and Men were great! They put on such a great show. The venue is super cool. The mixed drinks were awful. And the bar tenders didn't speak English very well.
We were disappointed. It really was a regurgitation of the albums. No variation from each song as if you hear it on the album. To the point that my husband suspected they were lip singing. The drums were clearly live but the voices never varied from album. Have been dying to see them for years so this was a bummer for us, for sure.
Of Monsters and Men put on such a great show. They had a great mix of new and old songs. The venue was amazing as well. We felt like we were outdoors in a grand village but we were inside.
