Icelandic six-piece Of Monsters and Men have delighted audiences around the world with their uplifting English folk-pop sound, full of soaring harmonies and captivating melodies. The monster hit “Little Talks” was many fans’ introduction to the band – it was certified Platinum in the US, reaching No. 1 on the US Alternative chart. 2013 saw the band wowing ticket buyers at live concerts and festivals, showing they’re just as talented on stage as in the recording studio. Formed in 2010, the band met with success quickly, winning Iceland’s annual band competition Músíktilraunir later that year. In 2011, Of Monsters and Men signed to Record Records and released the Into the Woods EP. Their debut album My Head is an Animal was released in Iceland in September 2011 and in the US in April 2012 by the Universal Music Group. The album – full of acoustically driven, infectiously energetic folk-rock – peaked at No. 6 on the US Billboard 200 album chart and reached the top 5 in Australia, Canada, Germany, and the UK.

OMAM never disappoint, always giving 100%+ each time. They are one band that you should see no matter your musical tastes. The venue, The Salt Shed, is a lovely, clean place with security being a breeze.
So much talking in the crowd. The opener was especially a quieter set and groups around me were having conversations at full volume as well as people having flash on and phones at full brightness. Then during Of Monsters and Men there were several drunk women yelling to talk over the music it was hell. The music itself was good but the crowds are making me never want to go to concerts anymore. It was very late to start a concert especially on a week night. Main band didn’t start until 9 and leaving time for traffic it would’ve had me getting home around midnight so I had to leave early unfortunately.
Loved hearing Of Monsters and Men in person! Well worth seeing them. All positive vibes at the concert! Anthem is a cool venue to visit!
I went to see them after running my NYC marathon I wasn’t sure to go but what great decision I made, what a great performance, the new music they played are just so good, The Block is my fav, the whole band is fantastic, kudos to the rhythm section, the drummer rocks.
This was my first time seeing Of Monsters and Men and I was impressed. Nanna and Ragnar's voices harmonizing was so melodic and warming. Happy I got the opportunity to see them in a small venue.
Amazing show, I really enjoyed the opening act and Of Monsters and Men were wonderful. Cool lights and they played a good mix of old and new music. It was my first time at the Met in Philadelphia and I absolutely loved the venue, will definitely see another show there in the future.
Of Monsters and Men is a folk group with beautiful songs, harmonies and musical instruments. They do have some drum forward songs, but for the most part, the drums are driving the rhythm behind the voices and other instruments (imo). The drums, and specifically the bass drum, was so loud, I couldn’t hear anything else. Just my opinion but it kind of ruined it for me.
Of Monsters and Men put on a great performance at the Anthem! Played lot of their new music and played some of their best older songs. It’s worth going to see them live and looking forward to seeing them live again!
Of Monsters and Men put on a great show. They played lots of songs from their new album, as well as many of their past hits.
