    Nutcracker was enjoyable

by CharlieSixx on 12/11/11Rabobank Arena Theater and Convention Center - Bakersfield

As goes family entertainment so goes the nutcracker. What a wonderful time to see local persons perform before family and friends. The Joffrey it wasn't but the dancers gave us their all and it was appreciated. Families look forward to the tradition of seeing a performance of the Nutcracker year after year and again this performance was not a disappointment. It was an evening to forget everyday worries and simply enjoy what was taking place in front of us. The home town symphony was outstanding, lending the musical partnership to complete a very enjoyable performance.

New Jersey Ballet Nutcracker is delightful

by MegNJ on 12/9/11BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - Englewood

The New Jersey Ballet Nutcracker is such a beautiful and fun holiday show. The dancers were all great. Some were really funny. It was nice to see so many kids on stage (boys and girls). The sets and costumes are colorful. The show just puts you in a great mood! It is perfect for ballet lovers, kids, and people who enjoy celebrating the holidays.

    Nutcraker

by Anonymous on 12/6/11BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - Englewood

When we arrived they were no seats. Even the house manager was confused. We had to wait for everyone to be seated before we were. Eventually they seated us closer and we enjoyed the show. I don't know what happeded there was so much confusion over our seats. The performance was amazing. All the dancers did a great job. even the set changes were were beautiful and believable.

    Nutcracker

by operamet on 12/6/11BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - Englewood

This performance by NJ Ballet was wonderful. Although it wasnt a live orchestra, i totally forgot that is wasnt because the gorgeous music sounded like it came from one. Great accoustics. This ballet kept my 11yr old granddaughter's attention the entire time. She loved it as well as i did. Costumes, Scenery, Performers, Music all wonderful. just a delight. Worth every penny.

    Nutcracker disn't crack

by Jamato316 on 12/5/11BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - Englewood

I did not like this production -- they veered so far from the traditional -- which can be refreshing, but this production lacked in "child-like" charisma and magic.

    Nutcracker

by Brodiefan on 11/29/11Township Auditorium - Columbia

I've watched performances of Ann Brodie's Carolina Ballet since it's inception nearly 25 years ago. It always amazes me to see how much can be done with a company of such young dancers. This year's "Nutcracker" was simply magical and my family greatly enjoyed it. It's marvelous that Ann's legacy continues with such fine productions. It's also wonderful that some of the adults in the performance have been coming back for years!

    Bravo for the Nutcracker!

by Benette on 11/26/11Township Auditorium - Columbia

I took my 5 year old granddaughter who was visiting from California and she adored the production, especially the costumes. The orchestra was superb, just outstanding. I hope to make this a Thanksgiving tradition.

    I really enjoyed it!

by idigthearth on 12/27/10KiMo Theatre - Albuquerque

I've been to the Nutcracker a number of times in various times and places, and I think this production this year was my favorite. I loved the costumes. The dancers were not perfect, but I really enjoyed their performances, the familiar music, the choreography, and overall appearance of everything. There was a lot of humor in the presentation, and creativity and color in the costumes. The notes on the story were a little different than I had ever read before, and enlightening. I sat close to the stage, and really liked being able to see all the detail, and all the darling faces of the performers. I would suggest calling it The Nutcracker with Refreshments, as there was no tea afterward, only punch and cookies.

    Remember they are amateurs

by tntisobnjkd on 12/26/10KiMo Theatre - Albuquerque

I think my expectations were too high. I thought the performance would be more professional. It wasn't. I was distracted because the dancers were rarely in sync. The opportunity to speak with the dancers otherwise was nice for my nine year old daughter and the cookies and treats were good. No actual tea. : ) Anyway, I would recommend it to someone looking for a true community experience. I won't be going again for several years.

    Great performance

by gucci22 on 12/21/10Neal S Blaisdell Concert Hall - Honolulu

My girl was doing this ballet while she was growing up (about 10 years) and played most of the characters at various times, and she thought it was great and well done. She has been to some performances that didn't measure up, but this one did.

The Nutcracker was a stunning performance!

by papatogirl on 12/21/10Neal S Blaisdell Concert Hall - Honolulu

It brought to mind the performance rendered by the San Francisco Ballet I saw years ago. I especially loved the costumes used--authentic to the time period. And the Honolulu Symphony again shone in their performance.
