Live 105 always puts on a really great show. Only complaint was time in between sets. Glass Animals killed it
This was the perfect opportunity to take my son to his first concert. He's 13 and Green Day is one of his all-time favorite bands. He freaking loved it. I thought the 4 opening acts were OK - I probably like Phantogram the best. Not trashing these bands but there is a WIDE gap between them and the headliner. Green Day did not disappoint, they were phenomenal as usual. The highlight of the evening was Billie Joe's heartfelt speech about the horrific loss of life at Ghost Ship. Reminding us that the Bay Area must continue to embrace all the weirdos and freaks. Then the entire arena singing along to Boulevard of Broken Dreams was mind numbingly amazing.
First and foremost I gotta give it up to all the openers, they killed it for sure. Amazing female vocals, amazing energy, just wow. Green Day though, I want to see this band for the rest of my life not only are they phenomenal performers, they're amazing people too. All hail Green Day!
I loved how the event was scheduled- never felt like I was waiting at all. And Green Day was so good- loved how they gave a tribute to the Oakland fire victims.
Great music for audience of all ages! Highly recommend!
This concert was the perfect way to end 2016 for me. Absolutely loved it.
The show was amazing. Green day was awesome live! The venue itself was what I had an issue with. The guards were (for the most part) were rather rude, parking was $40 which is ridiculous since its basically your only option, they don't let cars in until 2 hours before the show, but they let literally everyone else (walking in, dropping off, ubers) in so people that have been waiting for hours to park are bumped way back in the line. I feel like if I'm paying that much more parking, I should get to park there all day! They also rushed everyone out as soon as the show was over, which I thought was rude. I understand its late and they have a job to do, but I had lost a jacket in the crowd and wanted to see if I could find it but I was being physically pushed back by security. Plus, people like to wait for the set list and other small things after a concert. I just thought it was rude for such a pricey show. The actual venue that it was in was nice, they didn't overfill the GA area. It was just their practices that bothered me.
All of the performers were outstanding. We had GA floor tickets and worked our way up to the front of the stage. Enjoyed every minute of the pushing and dancing when Green Day was playing. They always put on an incredible show!! Best line up and when he brought the young man to play guitar with him was simple unbelievable. It was an amazing show!!
I will never forget this show. Billy Joe Armstrong is one of the coolest rock star's in history! His energy is electric! When he pulled the kid up on stage to play guitar with them, then kept the kid up there for a second song and gave him the guitar! Talk about an awesome thing to be witness to. The other groups were good too. I have not been a huge fan of Bastille and wondered why they were billed with Punk gods, but after the show, I can say that while I may not rush out and buy their album, Bastille was great. Very talented.
great show with some awesome performers... bummed catfish and the bottlemen couldn't make it, but day wave were a great act as well...green day put on an unforgettable performance!!
What happened to Catfish!? I didn't hear they weren't making it and was disappointed, but the remaining acts were fantastic throughout the night.
Came to see Green Day and they didn't disappoint. Other bands just okay.
The opening acts minus The Strumbrellas and Jimmy Eat World were awful. I've been to Not So Silent Night in the past and had such high hopes for the line up. Why in the world would techno be part of a Live 105 lineup? The commentators were not funny and the very limited videos Live 105 put up on the screen in between bands were unimpressive. There was zero Live 105 promotion or merchandise. Zero items thrown into the crowd while waiting for bands to take the stage and nothing for the crowds entertainment. We waited 5 hours for Blink 182 to take the stage and literally stood in the center of the pit without moving the entire time. It would have been nice to have the hosts have some crowd interaction during the wait! Boo on Live 105!
Great show all around! I was so impressed by all the bands and how great they sounded the whole night! Glass animals was so much fun to see. Empire of the sun got kinda cult-like/weird. But Jimmy Eat World and Blink-182 were perfect in every way shape and form. They even let a little kid on the drum set and he killed it! Live105 knows how to throw a show!
Amazing concert! Blink is unbelievable and it was a dream come true to see them! There was about 30 mins between each band which sucked because the venue was quick about set up but then the radio station took FOREVER to bring the next band out
I wen to the first night of the Not So Silent Night concert. The night before I attended the Electric Christmas concert in Sacramento. The Empire of the Sun performance was the highlight fir me. I gave seen them three times before. Glass Animals also put on a good performance.
Attended Friday only. The show is organized and well run. All bands came out right on time and played a decent amount of time. Glass Animals were super entertaining!
Every band totally "Brought it", the stage shows were very engaging, the energy was off the chart. An amazing show from beginning to end! The only thing I would complain about would be the cost to park - $40! Outrageous!
Concert and lineup were great overall (except for empire of the sun who are terrible) but I was generally surprised about the length of sets. They were just too short with too much setup time. They really should use a rotating stage.
