    My Chemical Romance is amazing

by Brandeeb on 12/12/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San Jose

All of the other bands that played were good but My Chemical Romance stole the show. They are one of the most talented bands on the planet and they are finally back. Majority of the crowd was there to see them and they did not disappoint.

    It's alllllll about the pumpkins

by Arly444 on 12/12/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San Jose

I was there for MCR and the Pumpkins. MCR was great, although I wish they played a little longer. Gerard Way is so hot, oh my god. And the Pumpkins..... they ROCKED SO HARD. I was surprised to like the Ava Adore song the most, even more than Stand Inside Your Love (which I was psyched that they played). Ava Adore sounded so good live. And thank you billy for playing Landslide, everyone's favorite. Billy is the best, he knows it, I know it, everyone should know it. I seriously kept my hands in the air far longer than the people directly around me (lol) because I was LOVED the pumpkins so so so so much. I love you Corgan! You put on a great show!!!! Other than that, actually the pumpkins were a bit TOO loud. People were holding their ears around me. Luckily I had some earplugs...... PS: The opening acts were childs play compared to the pumpkins...... I can't believe people were leaving after Phoenix or MCR.... LOLLLL

    Lame

by cbear0714 on 12/12/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San Jose

Not even an encore from the pumpkins. My 6 friends have all fallen asleep at one point in the show. Only decent band was the black keys. Been going to NSSN 3 years now, and it's getting worse each year. Might not consider going next year.

    Black Keys was AWESOME!!!

by Twreckz on 12/12/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San Jose

The whole show was pretty good...but my favorite band by far was the Black Keys...they just went off, and the drummer was going NUTS!!!

The show was amazing! I really liked all the artists they picked for the line up. I would love to keep going to these types of events but the ticket prices are much too expensive, it was really at the high end of my price range.

    was ok

by Vassago on 12/12/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San Jose

I wanted to see Smashing Pumpkins and MCR but they had six bands so the only had an hour each to play. Black Keys were great tho

The show was great but a few things could have been improved upon. The time on the tickets was incorrect and we got an email only the morning of the show that it was starting an hour earlier. Not cool considering it looked like a lot of people missed the first few bands. Also, when MCR and Smashing Pumpkins were on, the acoustics seemed distorted. Too loud or something and it took away from actually hearing the music and lyrics properly. With that said, it was a great show. Black Keys and Broken Bells were the highlights for me.

Great night but Bill is still self inflated

by 105FanfromtheStart on 12/12/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San Jose

I was blown away by the energy of the bands and the crowd. I wasn't expecting much from Phoexnix but I am now a fan. MCR was pumped and put on a great energy show. I did feel that Smashing Pumpkins was a bit disappointing... in a fast set, did Billy C really need his self inflating guitar solos? And if he really gets so upset about his fans wanting the "old music" instead of his newer songs, why the heck is he still selling the "Zero" Concert Ts? Other than the SP disappointment, I LOVED the event.

    so much awesome

by jewrican on 12/12/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San Jose

My Chemical Romance was amazing!!! They sounded great! The Black Keys stole the show and Smashing Pumpkins were unforgettable. Only problem was some of the acts seemed short. But that was probably cause I was looking forward to them. Also, the main screen in the center of the arena got turned off and it was hard to see the other screens.

Not so silent night pretty average

by noPhoenix on 12/12/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San Jose

Bands were ok. Suprised that Phoenix wasn't headlining. Sets were short, and lights coming on between bands really killed the atmosphere. Smashing Pumpkins were pretty cool, but really, no encore? And after everyone was cheering for it.

    Local Band contest

by Gregwilldrum on 12/12/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San Jose

Finish Ticket is an up and coming band and they did a great job on stage .Live 105 is to be commended on arranging this local band contest to give local musicians a goal - something to dream about, something to practice for and something to get their fans behind. I think that next year more attention should be paid to this contest....not just at the part of the show, but later during the wrap-up before the headliner. Live 105 worked hard to conduct this contest and the local bands all should be commended for getting CDs in for review. Make a big deal about it at the concert....mention the local band winner more ofter during the show...give the fans another chance to applaud for them.

    disappointed

by cherylsantafe on 12/12/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San Jose

I flew out from Santa Fe, New Mexico to share this concert with my son and his girlfriend. I was especially looking forward to My Chemical Romance and Smashing Pumpkins. We missed the first two acts because of an accident on the freeway. We arrived during Black Keys. They would have been great if the sound had been mixed correctly. After their set the center projection screens went black. The sound continued to be awful for the rest of the bands. Apparently every one there came for the earlier bands, because the audience began to file out after MCR and was half empty when Billy Corgan essentially walked out before the end of his set. Yuck. And it cost me so much money to get there.

    NSSN was amazing!

by kimpossible56 on 12/12/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San Jose

Great show and has become a tradition for my family. The line up was great with the exception of the Smashing Pumpkins, we left half way through their set. All the other bands were awesome! And we are looking forward to next year!

    NSSN 2010

by Neeb on 12/12/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San Jose

To tell you the truth, I was disappointed. I went to NSSN last year and it was incredible!! Lots of songs to dance to. This year, I could tell people wanted to dance (including me) but the dance rhythm just wasn't there.

vip cool but had obstructed view

by blackkeysrule on 12/12/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San Jose

The vip was awesome with private entance and full bar and private bathrooms. The parking pass was also better than regular parking. Only complaint is that seats for the vip section were obstructed by the stage equipment. Fortunately there were some open seats near us that we could move to so we could see the show.

It's all about the Black Keys!

by Travelmonkey on 12/12/10HP Pavilion At San Jose - San Jose

Overall great night with a few fixable issues. I was surprised the Pavillion wasn't packed -- such an awesome line up! Broken Bells gained some new fans -- yeah! The Black Keys ROCKED the house playing mostly older stuff--gutsy! The sound needed to be turned up on My Chemical Romance's lead singer--couldn't hear a word. And Billy Corgan needed to turn things down a tad (what connection did the spinning pinwheels/snowflakes have to his music?) Other than that, everyone played the songs people know; I liked the fact the stadium wasn't too packed; and I would go again next year if the lineup is just as HOT! Nicely done!
