  • A fantastic performance of Dvorak's New World Sympony

by Paul S on 9/29/25Owens Auditorium at Bradshaw Performing Arts Center - PinehurstRating: 5 out of 5

I am always bowled over by the quality of the Carolina Symphony. I have seen major orchestras in both the US and Europe and I get the same experience with the CS. The fact that they come to Pinehurst to play in our intimate Owens auditorium makes for an extraordinary evening and I encourage everyone to see this great Symphony whenever possible..

  • Well imagined program, brilliantly performed

by Phil2u on 9/23/25Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts - RaleighRating: 5 out of 5

I drive from about 60 miles away for N.C. Symphony concerts and am never disappointed. We are indeed fortunate to have such excellent musicians and one of the best music directors conceivable. Thank you, Maestro, for continuing to thrill N.C. audiences with extraordinary performances and attracting such accomplished visiting artists.

  • The concert was great - the will call sucked.

by daclements on 9/10/25Memorial Hall - Chapel HillRating: 1 out of 5

There were 50 people in line and only one window. Eventually they just let us in. And there was a high admin fee for the tickets which I never received. It was a horrible experience and most of the people in line were 65-70. YOu shoul drefund the admin fee for those tickets to everyone who went.

  • Magnificent performance

    by Hound-dad on 7/8/25Koka Booth Amphitheatre - CaryRating: 5 out of 5

The NC Symphony is always precise and wonderful, and the guest vocalists were very true to the songs.

  • Fun but some crowd work might be necessary.

by Music Enthusiast on 6/24/25Koka Booth Amphitheatre - CaryRating: 4 out of 5

I really enjoyed the experiene of having an outdoor concert but it seems like the audience becomes really unhinged and uncontrolled in such an environment. I found that it was not uncommon to hear chip bags opening or people clapping randomly during the concert while the performance was ongoing. I think some crowd work or signs showing proper etiquette would be greatly appreciated.

  • Great show!

by CarolinaGurl on 6/22/25Koka Booth Amphitheatre - CaryRating: 5 out of 5

Loved the live musicians and our symphony sounded great as always. Would have loved one more Van Morrison song. They did a great job on Buffett and please share the name of the primary country singer on your social media, I’d love to hear more of his work.

  • Great Family Fun

by sparrowed on 6/3/25Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts - RaleighRating: 5 out of 5

My grand daughter & I went early and listened to the local kids violin groups play -- WOW. They were good for ages that ranged from probably 4-17. On stage, the Symphony never fails to be enjoyable. The children "animal"dancers were incredible as well. And the costumes were right on target for being spectacular. Fun all around.

  • Carnival of the Animals

by Melanie on 6/3/25Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts - RaleighRating: 5 out of 5

I enjoyed the performance. Seats were good and acoustics as well. Some of the patrons need a "refresher"course on proper etiquette.

  • Very relaxing and enjoyable

    by Buckeye-Tarheel on 6/3/25Koka Booth Amphitheatre - CaryRating: 4 out of 5

Enjoyed the venue and entire experience. Was disappointed they cut out two selections by having to go to rain related early intermission.

  • NC Symphony plays John Williams

    by OFD#4301 on 6/2/25Koka Booth Amphitheatre - CaryRating: 5 out of 5

AWESOME experience! Recent transplants from TN. So glad that RDU has a symphony of this quality and breth of music.

  • Fantastic

by Larry Wilson on 5/20/25Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts - RaleighRating: 5 out of 5

The performance by the North Carolina Symphony, and the North Carolina corral of Mozart’s Requiem by candlelight could not have been better. Kudos to everyone involved in this ou outstanding Performance.

Excellently conceived program. Maestro Prieto is a brilliant conductor; we are fortunate to have him with us in N C.

  • Very little symphony

by Danny on 5/5/25Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts - RaleighRating: 4 out of 5

Brass transit was the headliner. NC Symphony was on n the background. It was a VERY short performance, only about one hour.

  • SHORT SHOW

by mr on 5/5/25Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts - RaleighRating: 1 out of 5

The show was less than an hour long. When you pay top dollar for a event they should give you your moneys worth. Brass Transit is a good band but they need to give the audience something more than a 10 song set.

  • Excellent but Brief

by GreenWayMom on 5/5/25Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts - RaleighRating: 4 out of 5

We live just more than an hour's drive from Meymandi Hall. For the round-trip drive and the price of the tickets, we were a bit disappointed that the performance was just shorter than an hour, including encores. The quality of the program was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed Brass Transit and the full orchestral accompaniment.

  • April 25, 2025 concert

by Marie 2 on 4/28/25Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts - RaleighRating: 5 out of 5

The conductor, Jacquot, was a wonder to watch -rapport between her and the symphony was on spot…pianist, Nguci was powerful and so good. The Saint-Saens was masterful. However, no mention in the program as to the name of the organist…disappointing that he was overlooked…Jacquot did recognize him as one of the soloists…. It was a beautiful evening of beautiful music.

  • NC Symphony 🥰

by Kathy on 4/17/25Memorial Hall - Chapel HillRating: 5 out of 5

Had a wonderful Sunday at the Symphony at Memorial Hall UNC-CH. What a treat to park off site and have a grand tour bus provide front door drop off service. Gracious and personable greeters. And the performance peaked w/ Elgar's magnificent Enigma Variations. The audience provided a health ovation to cap off the event. Bravo!

  • Excellent NC Symphony Event

by TJ on 4/16/25Memorial Hall - Chapel HillRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent performance in a quality facility. Waiting outside in the sunshine on the UNC campus before the performance was a good lead in

  • Mahler 5

by NC Symphony fan on 3/25/25Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts - RaleighRating: 5 out of 5

The 3/23/25 Mahler 5 concert was great. The sustained energy of the orchestra to the very end was quite impressive. However, the most amazing aspect of the entire concert was the artistry of principal horn player, Rebekah Daley! She plays boldly, confidently, but also with delicate emotion and brought me to tears in the Scherzo. NC Symphony is so fortunate to have her anchoring such a solid brass section. Bravo to Rebekah and the rest of the horn section!
