  • Great but for sound issues

by Big Chris Thiele fan on 5/13/25Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - AshevilleRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was good, and Chris Thiele's high-energy antics were amazing. But I couldn't make out the words of his songs, which comprised so much of the evening's event. Other friends sitting elsewhere said the same. It's that geriatric auditorium as we well know ...

  • Turn up the volume!

by musicgal on 5/13/25Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - AshevilleRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was mostly excellent, but it was hard to hear the guest artist. He needed more volume, not only on his mandolin, but also on his voice. Amazing this wasn't caught and attended to in rehearsal! Or even during the concert. Who was running the sound?!

  • Wonderful evening

by Kathy on 1/3/25Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - AshevilleRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve loved ABBA since I first saw Mama Mia. I even bought both movies. It was such fun to experience the music up close and personal. Great experience with the symphony and the group from Sweden!

What an amazing experience. To see this wonderful Tribute band from Sweden backed by a World Class Orchestra was fantastic. Great energy and should. Beautiful.

  • More Asheville Symphony

by Annie on 1/3/25Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - AshevilleRating: 4 out of 5

This performer was perfect for New Years Eve - exciting, energetic with crowd involvement. However: We enjoy more of the Asheville Symphony being up front with occasional vocal performances

  • ABBA with Asheville Symphony Orchestra

Very enjoyable experience. Sightline was a bit obstructed because seat were far back and next to the wall.

  • An Amazing Night!

by Kaye on 1/3/25Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - AshevilleRating: 5 out of 5

This is the third year in a row that my husband and I were part of a group to go see the Asheville Symphony Orchestra on New Year’s Eve… Not only do they never disappoint, they take it to the next level each successive year! The ABBA tribute band was terrific and the women’s voices were spectacular… We danced and sang along all evening. Can’t wait until next year!

  • fantastic brilliant

by abba fan on 1/3/25Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - AshevilleRating: 4 out of 5

The ABBA tribute was a wonderful evening especially being backed by the Asheville symphony orchestra ! The sound was delicious. The group defiantly got the slightly older crowd on their feet. The only negative I think is they opened with Mamma Mia and took a long intermission. Abba has such a large catalog of songs.. I really enjoyed the humor of the group as they interacted and that they danced whist singing into the crowd. Great New Years Eve event.

  • Let's make this an annual Event

by Paul on 1/3/25Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - AshevilleRating: 5 out of 5

A fun and entertaining show. The Orchestra added a element to the music of Abba that made it very special. The outfits sand interactions between the band members were perfect. I hope this becomes an annual event in Asheville every New Year's Eve.
