About

Frontier Touring are thrilled to announce the long-awaited return to Australia and New Zealand by one of the USA’s most critically acclaimed singer/songwriters – nine-time Grammy winner Norah Jones.

The ‘Come Away With Me’ singer will perform three intimate headline dates in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart in April 2019, as well as five shows in New Zealand. These will be the beguiling pianist and vocalist’s first performances in Australia in six years – and 14 years in New Zealand! Tickets to all dates go on sale on Thursday 29 November via frontiertouring.com/norahjones.

‘She put on a self-assured show that drew from all aspects of her career while finding focus seated at the piano in her sultry, smoky-voiced comfort zone.’ – Philadelphia Inquirer

‘Norah Jones has always mixed jazz, country, folk and rock, but her concert demonstrated that she has become master of them all... Jones ranged with relaxed abandon through a career-spanning set.’ – Seattle Times

‘Jones has become a more relaxed and mature performer... she is masterful at never overplaying, she also has an eclectic bent and knows how to rock out. Norah Jones keeps getting better with age.’ – Los Angeles Daily News

  • Amazing Nora

Great concert! Much interaction with her audience. Norah and her band are so talented Everyone had a good time.

  • Even better live!!!

by CLCs on 3/12/10E.J. Thomas Hall - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

Norah Jones' sultry voice was as amazing as always but the music really popped in this live performance. Often times an artist takes too many liberties outside of the confines of a recording studio but Norah's style lends itself to an even better live performance than her recorded work. There were several exchanges with the audience that were personable and funny. You could really tell that the band was having a good time performing for us. The evening was enchanting and I would HIGHLY recommend this concert to all of the romantics left in this world.

  • Norah Jones was amazing.

by BarneyFife on 3/12/10E.J. Thomas Hall - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

Norah Jones was just amazing. She has the best voice around. I can listen to her singing all day long. I have all of her CD's and DVD's. Norah is the best singer around.

  • Norah was a little disappointing

by Anonymous on 3/12/10E.J. Thomas Hall - AkronRating: 3 out of 5

While the sound was phenomenal and Norah was her playful self, I was very disappointed by the set list. While the new album is very good and it is obviously what she is on tour supporting, there were too few songs from her previous three albums. In addition the concert seemed very short. Sasha was the opening act and didn't end till almost 8:30. Norah didn't come on till almost 8:50 and concluded by 10:00 encore and all. While everyone sounded phenomenal, I must say I was disappointed compared to her previous concerts I have attended. In addition, she seems to have become tired of playing the songs which got her to where she is today, she has rearranged them to where they are almost unrecognizable.

Ouststanding performance! We enjoyed every minute of the program.

  • Norah Jones better live than on TV or CD

by Manofthehour on 3/12/10E.J. Thomas Hall - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

Norah Jones was outstanding and like many of previous reviews, her voice and songs were better live-in-person than any CD or TV late show. Too bad that she does not tour more often!!

  • Norah was great but oh so short!

by BobbyHK on 3/12/10E.J. Thomas Hall - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

Norah has a unique sound and is reminisent of the 40'2 and 50's. A gentle blend od Soul, Blues and pop rock and one of the last songs was almost country. I could have listened for another hour or so. The Warmup with Sasha was great but almost too long. After all I came to see and hear Norah. Come back this way again!

  • Norah is even better live!!

by Peesho on 3/12/10E.J. Thomas Hall - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

Her voice is amazing. I am only familiar with a couple of her songs from the first album. I can't wait to buy more music from Norah. She has a very friendly personality and it was just a pleasure to listen to her music. Class act with a great voice. We need more artists with pure talent. A true gift!! She can also play the guitar and piano. What a great musician.

  • CD is better!

by simplymoi on 3/12/10E.J. Thomas Hall - AkronRating: 2 out of 5

I would not spend the time and money to see her in concert again. A concert performance is to be just that....a performance. In other words, do something, anything to entertain. She has no stage presence, does not interact with the audience well (unless you are a guy sitting in the front row, heckling, which was also annoying), and spent too much time talking and laughing with the musicians while the audience waited for her to perform. Her first three or four songs you could not hear her singing as the band was too loud. They straightened out that problem but continued to have other technical issues throughout the evening. It was not a smooth performance whatsoever and not worth a free ticket!!! Sorry. The opening act (Sasha Jacobson) had a wonderful voice and less ability to perform than Ms. Jones. It was a lackluster evening and much better to stay home, play the CD's, enjoy a glass of wine and the company of someone you love!!

  • Amazing Norah

by Peacefulplace on 3/12/10E.J. Thomas Hall - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

What a great evening at EJ Thomas. Norah was amazing. Great song selection, bantering with the audience and band mambers. Hope she comes around again soon.

  • Norah was amazing

Ms. Jones was amazing. Go see her. She was especially funny and very soulful. I loved the way she interacted with the audience. I wish she had a younger following! The mainstream artist and younger music lovers could learn much from her quality and body of work.

  • Don't have band members as an opener

by asauce on 3/12/10E.J. Thomas Hall - AkronRating: 3 out of 5

Norah was great as expected. The opening act, Sasha, a member of Norah's band was terrible

  • Too much left on the table.

by Carmanwilly on 3/12/10E.J. Thomas Hall - AkronRating: 3 out of 5

Norah and her band was awesome. She is a very talented lady. The crowd treated her with the utmost respect. Sasha Dobson, her back up singer, doing the fifty minute warm up portion of the show was cute but a waste of time. No one, other than maybe her mother, was there to hear someone named Shasha Dobson sing. Norah mainly played newly released songs. Thing is, the crowd reacted more to her past hits. I only think she performed 3 maybe 4 of her older hits. The crowd wanted more. Norah was only on stage for about an hour and 20 minutes including ovations and oncore . My opinion is, they could have cut out a half hour entermission by bring Norah out at 8:00 PM, cut the Sasha Dobson portion out totally and let her do solos in the Norah Jones show, if they want to feature her at all. Put it this way, my 140.00 for 2 tickets was a poor spending judgement on my part for an hour and 20 minutes of someone I really wanted to spend more time with.

Excellent show. Norah sounded amazing. The acoustics of EJ Thomas hall cannot be touched. My only complaint is there was a backstage door on the left side of the stage that kept opening and closing throughout the show that was very distracting. A simple curtain would have fixed the situation.

  • Norah was fantastic!

by Dougybill on 3/12/10E.J. Thomas Hall - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

Norah won the lottery! All that talent and beauty, too. Great musicianship and mastery of the instrument that is her voice. Bravo!

  • Norah Fantastic

by JBROW on 3/12/10Des Moines Civic Center - Des MoinesRating: 5 out of 5

Even though our seats were vary far back and we couldn't see the performers, the music & performance was great. The venue was sold out and everyone there was a true Norah fan. There was a brief interaction with the audience that was entertaining as well, but I believe that everyone would have stayed all night to hear this very talented artist. I feel fortunate that I had the chance to catch one of our truly gifted artists so close to home. I also look forward to seeing Norah again in the future and only hope that this tour gives her the desire to play for her fans as often as she can.

great voice....not so great band....they hid the beautiful tone of her voice with the thump thump of the drum, wha eha & and strum strum of a guitar....too bad

  • Norah Jones was amazing!

    by Eljay53 on 3/12/10E.J. Thomas Hall - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

I haven't listened to my Norah Jones CD's for a while. I forgot how truly amazing she is. Her voice is so pure she just captures me. I had a pretty intense week and her performance took all of the tension and stress out of my body. Norah's band was right on every note. Smokey was just incredible. That man can play some guitar. Sasha Dobson and Steve Elliott were a terrific opening act. She was funny and with her beautiful voice and his guitar work they were very entertaining. But after all of the surrounding performers which were incredible, NORAH was one of the best concerts I have seen in years. I will be telling everyone proudly that I saw Norah Jones last night. It was an evening to always remember.
