About

Frontier Touring are thrilled to announce the long-awaited return to Australia and New Zealand by one of the USA’s most critically acclaimed singer/songwriters – nine-time Grammy winner Norah Jones.

The ‘Come Away With Me’ singer will perform three intimate headline dates in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart in April 2019, as well as five shows in New Zealand. These will be the beguiling pianist and vocalist’s first performances in Australia in six years – and 14 years in New Zealand! Tickets to all dates go on sale on Thursday 29 November via frontiertouring.com/norahjones.

‘She put on a self-assured show that drew from all aspects of her career while finding focus seated at the piano in her sultry, smoky-voiced comfort zone.’ – Philadelphia Inquirer

‘Norah Jones has always mixed jazz, country, folk and rock, but her concert demonstrated that she has become master of them all... Jones ranged with relaxed abandon through a career-spanning set.’ – Seattle Times

‘Jones has become a more relaxed and mature performer... she is masterful at never overplaying, she also has an eclectic bent and knows how to rock out. Norah Jones keeps getting better with age.’ – Los Angeles Daily News

Norah was awesome - she incredibly talented and her new band is great as well

Phenomenal show! Nora's voice sounds just as beautiful (if not more so) in person. She entertained us with her sharp wit between songs and provided an encore. Her band is extremely talented. Highly recommended!

  • Better than I ever imagined

I have listened to Norah Jones ever since I heard "Don't know Why" on the radio. That was years ago. Ever since then, I've fallen in love with her music. Of all the people I've wanted to see in live concert, she was it. I knew Norah's songs were good, but I didn't realize how AMAZING an artist she is until hearing her in concert. She's not just a good vocalist. She is a great musician. I'm so glad that I got to see her. If she ever comes back in town, there is no doubt that I will be there. P.S. Her band is amazing too!

  • Norah is not only talented, she is hilarious!

What a great concert! She has an amazing voice and really likes to engage the audience. She was surprisingly really funny! What a talented woman!

  • Nora's Concert in St. Paul

    by DJB2011 on 3/18/10The O'Shaughnessy - Saint PaulRating: 4 out of 5

My wife and I love Nora Jones so this was our first chance to hear her in person. Her singing was as beautiful as we'd expect but it was impossible to hear the lyrics. The sound balance favored the band which always sounded too loud compared to her levels. Sound engineers are usually able to tailor what comes out of the speakers to the hall and I suspect they were inattentive or just mystified by the place's dull acoustics. So many people kept arriving late that it was often difficult to concentrate on the performance. We especially liked it when Nora sang while playing alone at the piano. All the musicians played creatively, with impeccable good taste and in the service of a general unity of effect that helped connect everything at all levels.

  • Norah the guitar hero...

  • Norah Jones was awesome!

    by SRB78 on 3/15/10E.J. Thomas Hall - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I have been waiting for years to see Norah Jones and we were not disappointed in the least. She is so talented and just so cool. She played a good mixture of all her music.

  • Norah Jones was mellow

by justlistening on 3/14/10E.J. Thomas Hall - AkronRating: 4 out of 5

Norah was true to her style which is so recognizable. She demonstrated her abilities on various musical instruments & sang in that warm sultry style. E.J. Thomas Hall is huge - it would have been nice to have been closer or for the Hall to have large viewing screens so that those farther back could have been able to see some closeups.

Unbeliveable talent, had no idea that Norah played guitar as well. Dynamite performance !

  • You should of been there!

by Ktvmarie on 3/14/10E.J. Thomas Hall - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

This is the second time I've seen Norah in concert- this particular concert was bigger than the last- (I saw her at Playhouse Square last-smaller venue) but it was just as good. Her voice and musical talents are simply amazing and there is never a dull moment. I would buy any CD she put out and if given the chance again I would see her again in concert. If you missed out- don't let that happen again.

  • Norah Jones was the bomb!

Fantastic concert! Sold out crowd of various ages. A definite "see again" when she's in the area.

  • Norah was tremendous and Sasha was Fantastic!

Great show - put down the cell phone cameras and enjoy the show! Some folks were too busy screwing around and watching cell phone video for my taste. Put them away it was rude!

Amazing voice and range, her band or Tech people who set up the instruments need to polish their skills a bit.

  • Nora good; drunk, high ppl next to us, not so good

    by Jonas1804 on 3/13/10E.J. Thomas Hall - AkronRating: 4 out of 5

Nora put on a fine performance, showing abilities by playing the guitar instead of the piano for most of her popular, older songs. Nice mix of the new "more electric" sounds from her new album with the traditional piano ballads we have come to associate with her. Her lead guitarist (Sasha ??) did a nice opening act. I think it was her first time opening for Nora. Would have enjoyed the concert more if the old couple next to us would not have come in late, check that, stumbled in late, started taking pills, and leaving three times during the performance. I guess I will request to sit in the sober section next time.

  • Extraordinary and Great Fun

by kleinperson on 3/13/10E.J. Thomas Hall - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

How I would love to hear Nora in a small club somewhere. Barring that, seeing her in person is a treat. AND she does it in 3 inch heels. Now that is talent. Sasha was also extraordinary and so much fun. I do think the sound could be better mixed. The piano and drums where harsh and often interfered with the wonderful voices.

  • fantastic

by weeder on 3/13/10E.J. Thomas Hall - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

Norah Jones was wonderful. I only own her most famous album so much of the music was new to me, and I wasn't disappointed. I'm certainly partial to her jazz and her guitar work and less thrilled with the country music elements - but I'm open to listening :-). I was also very impressed with the opening act (Shasa Dobson). Her guitar work was great and hauntingly impressive vocals. The group of six I was with were all every well entertained and happy we were there to experience the moment.

  • Norah Jones was excellent

    by Sgt9393 on 3/13/10E.J. Thomas Hall - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

The venure was perfect for this event. Norah Jones sounded excellent. She sounded just like the albums. I hope to see her again in the future.

The opening act was terrible. She was unorganized, kept tuning her guitar and I could not understand her. Nora’s performance was very good. The only problem was that we were so high in the balcony that you could not see her.

  • Great tallent!

by JackAkron on 3/13/10E.J. Thomas Hall - AkronRating: 4 out of 5

She's got amazing talent and a fantastically fun personality - thank you so much for being yourself and having fun on stage Norah! Something didn't seam right with the volume on the piano, and one of the guitar's. That was a little frustrating, for this price at a place like E.J. I really expected the quality of the sound to be better.

Great voice! Did not want to hear all of her new album. Would have liked to hear more of her old songs, the ones that made me fall in love with her music.
