About

Frontier Touring are thrilled to announce the long-awaited return to Australia and New Zealand by one of the USA’s most critically acclaimed singer/songwriters – nine-time Grammy winner Norah Jones.

The ‘Come Away With Me’ singer will perform three intimate headline dates in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart in April 2019, as well as five shows in New Zealand. These will be the beguiling pianist and vocalist’s first performances in Australia in six years – and 14 years in New Zealand! Tickets to all dates go on sale on Thursday 29 November via frontiertouring.com/norahjones.

‘She put on a self-assured show that drew from all aspects of her career while finding focus seated at the piano in her sultry, smoky-voiced comfort zone.’ – Philadelphia Inquirer

‘Norah Jones has always mixed jazz, country, folk and rock, but her concert demonstrated that she has become master of them all... Jones ranged with relaxed abandon through a career-spanning set.’ – Seattle Times

‘Jones has become a more relaxed and mature performer... she is masterful at never overplaying, she also has an eclectic bent and knows how to rock out. Norah Jones keeps getting better with age.’ – Los Angeles Daily News

  • Norah Jones was AWESOME!!!!!!!!

by Sweet59 on 3/8/10The Midland by AMC - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

This was a fantastice concert! I took my sister and we had the best of times. Norah has such a spectacular voice and I can't wait for her to return to KC. Thank You NORAH for a wonderful evening of music. Keep it coming.

  • Norah was terrific, our seats . . . not so good

by DBKO on 3/8/10The Midland by AMC - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

Norah and her band were great. We saw her about 5 years ago, when she was quite nervous and new to the touring scene. She has really gotten comfortable with performing. Loved her female back-up singer. They blended incredibly! Thoroughly enjoyed the concert. Thought the lighting, stage effects were awesome. We loved that she sang her new songs AND her older ones. Our seats were awful at the Midland. Paid almost $75 per ticket. Three rows in front of us were all on the same level as us, so we could see absolutely nothing. Don't get lower level seats at the Midland, unless you're in the fist 10 rows or so.

Either the event should have started a half hour earlier or the warm up band should have played for a half hour rather than an hour. I was there to see Nora not some group from Denton, Tx.

  • Norah's voice steals the show

by FanofFolds on 3/8/10The Midland by AMC - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

This was our 4th concert with Norah and our second time of seeing her at The Midland. She continues to dazzle with her stage presence and pitch-perfect voice. One of the few artists who sounds amazingly better live than on her albums. All due to her naturally gifted and skilled use of her amazing voice. She interacts with the audience in ways that add intimacy to the event and make you feel like she's really there to perform for you. She's an amazing artist and we rarely, if ever, miss an opportunity to see here if she's anywhere near our area.

It was a great show. Any time you have a chance to hear an artist like this you should take it.

  • Nice lighting for Norah Jones

by Nholt769 on 3/7/10The Midland by AMC - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

Pretty good show. The lighting was great, but there was a constant source of feedback throughout the performance. This was pronounced during breaks in the music. Norah did not seem to get overly excited or play to the crowd, although she did address the crowd during the performance.

  • Thank you for wonderful night, Ms. Jones

by AnotherHappyFan on 3/7/10The Midland by AMC - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

Frankly, I was astounded Norah Jones booked a night in Cow Town, as we don't see enough top shelf artists like her. Now I'm grateful she did. Ms Jones was friendly, funny, warm and charming, in addition to putting on a passionate, nuanced performance. You can certainly tell that music is her life and soul. My wife remarked twice that it was the best concert she had ever seen. The Midland is a superb venue - small enough to be able to see the band, adult beverages, and fine acoustics. If the floor was sloped a little more, so everyone could see the stage more easily, that would help. Overall, though, my favorite place in KC to catch a concert. Thank you very much for the wonderful evening, Ms. Jones. We will remember it fondly while listening to our CDs of your songs.

  • A night to remember!

by Stormluvr on 3/7/10The Midland by AMC - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

As a long time fan of Norah Jones I was expecting a wonderful show...I wasn't disappointed! One of the best concerts I've ever been to! The setting of the Midland Theatre seemed to enhance the beautiful ambiance coming from the stage. Add to that the sound of Norah's voice and it was a perfect combination! Hearing songs, not only from her current album, but also favorites from past albums made it a concert to remember!

  • Norah Jones in KC

by KatKS on 3/7/10The Midland by AMC - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

Norah Jones was absolutely phenomenal, and the concert was "spot on". From her vocals, her band, the set and lighting, it was an incredible evening. I would see her again in a heart beat, and I can't remember a concert I've enjoyed this much. The same can't be said for MIdland by AMC though. Even though it's a beautiful venue, they should not be selling drinks throughout concerts such as this. The people getting up and down out of the seats going for drinks and to the bathroom, totally distracts from the performance and blocks the view for rows and rows of people behind them.

  • Norah was more than expected

by Travelhawk on 3/7/10The Midland by AMC - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

I had been waiting for Norah Jones to tour into the central part of the country since I discovered her music. The visit to Kansas City, the second stop on this tour, proved that my wait was worth my time. The Midland was a perfect venue for the talent. The strength of her voice proved to be more than a a technical recording gimick. The strength of the musicians working with Norah certainly was equal to the talent of the feature. Too me, from the opening song thru the final note of the concert, Norah Jones proved that the music is the primary message that her songs bring to the listener. Also, not being overly well versed in her musical background, I was surprised by her instrumental talent on guitar that was equaled by her work on the keyboard. To those that have not enjoyed the newest musical release from Norah, you will be waiting until she begins her most notable songs but that time spent will be just a wonderful warmup to someone that will meet your highest expectations. New songs, standard songs, fun solo dog (yes, dog) song, and even some cover songs will reward Norah's fans and those who simply enjoy a talented vocal artist.

It felt very personal and emotional- an unforgettable experience!

Nora Jones, herself was exceptional - she played many songs: old and new. Her opening act left little to be desired, however

  • Norah is fabulous!

Great show! She and her band are fabulous! Lots of new, lots of her standards. Perfect! the Midland was a terrific venue for this show. Just wish the lower level hadn't sold out in the first 30 minutes!

Took my girlfriend for her birthday to see Norah. An incredible night. The music was the right mix and set the tone for the night. Norah is very talented artist and really connects with her audience. She played both new tracks and some or her previous work. Would defiantly see her again.

  • Great Voice

I was at Live with Regis & Kelly on January 14th; my first time to the show and the first time I saw Nora Jones. I can not express how excited I was not to mention the beautiful voice that came from within the adorable Nora. There were 6 of us at the show and we could not stop talking about Nora along with Regis and Kelly; the event was a memorable one that will stay with me for the rest of my life. We are making plans to see Nora in NYC during her tour; also went out for the CD. While on our way home from NYC to NJ we stopped at a Friday's and played every song on the Juke Box by Nora Jones and danced around; thank you again Nora for a wonderful experience! Oh the sad part was; we left at 5:45am and I ran out the door without my camera, so I ended up with not 1 picture of Regis & Kelly nor NORA.:(
