About

For the first time in League history, the National Hockey League (NHL) will host outdoor hockey in Florida. Celebrating the explosive growth of hockey in Florida over the last three decades, the League will stage two outdoor games in the Sunshine State during the 2025-26 season with the Tampa Bay Lightning hosting the Boston Bruins in the 2026 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series at Raymond James Stadium on Feb. 1, 2026.

The 2026 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series is the Lightning's second outdoor game appearance, and the Bruins' sixth. Tampa Bay scored a 3-2 victory over the Nashville Predators at Nissan Stadium in Nashville at the 2022 NHL Stadium Series while Boston owns a 4-1 record in outdoor games dating back to the 2010 NHL Winter Classic, a 3-2 overtime win over the Philadelphia Flyers at Fenway Park.

This was my first in person game and it was worth it! Loved the camaraderie from the fans Islanders and Rangers and experiencing an outdoor game was fun. Not to mention that our team won in OT!!

  • Great Day

by Roscar on 2/22/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

Hockey is my favorite sport and I have been watching it over 60 years. What a great atmosphere experience it was and my team won even though they didn’t play well for half the game.

  • Great game but my team lost

by Darren Kellman on 2/22/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

So much fun and they should do more games in a season

  • It Was GREAT!!!!!

by Sil on 2/22/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic atmosphere, great game it was by far one of the best live events I've been to.

  • Rangers/islanders

by Axe on 2/22/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 4 out of 5

The event itself was top shelf. I had great seats and it was a great atmosphere. Parking was horrendous. They guide you into the stadium lot just to make make you go back out again and through the mall parking garages and back to the stadium when it was clear to anyone, one left turn could have solved that problem. Workers didn’t care about their jobs, it was obvious and because of this, I have no reason to go back to Met Life again.

  • Awesome Sports & Entertainment Event, but...

    by Our3SonsNYRhockeyFans on 2/22/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 4 out of 5

Great Experience, Great Sports & Entertainment value, Terrific Fan energy & vibes, would 💯% do it again, but .. not be a kill joy, concessions were lacking in availability and variety, service staff were personable, friendly, yet understaffed, all in all, Great time, would do it again just the same. If it's a NYR game of course!

  • Great Game. Tough Exit

by Mike on 2/22/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

The game experience was tremendous from start to finish. After the game, it seemed they tried to make leaving the stadium, and leaving the parking lot, as difficult as possible.

  • Terrible crowd control

by Nia on 2/22/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 1 out of 5

The traffic getting in was beyond ridiculous, and then after finally finding parking in a sea of tail gating it was shoulder to shoulder no organization to get in. Once you finally make it in you could hardly move through the concourse and lines were terribly long and you couldn’t tell which went to what. People laying on the ground next to puke. The crowd control was the absolute worst making it terrible if you weren’t in your seat.

  • Ranger - Islander NHL Stadium Series Game

by Slapshot on 2/22/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

This was the best game I have ever been too. The game action, crowd participation, and the venue were amazing. An epic game for sure!!

  • fantastic game terrible location

by LGR on 2/22/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 3 out of 5

I am a Ranger fan. This was a lifetime memorable come-from-behind win over long-time rival, but getting in and out of the arena was a lifetime horrible experience. I arrived at the entrance from I95 1 hour and 15 minutes early and would have missed the puck drop if the game had not been delayed due to ice surface conditions. At the discretion of the parking attendant very few cars were allowed into one of the Met Life lots and the others were directed to the next entrance which was "permit only."Since I had no permit, I was directed further toward the American Dream area and was almost forced back onto I95. Finally, I was able to pull into a parking area (unpaved) and had to walk .75 miles to get to the stadium. Ridiculous!

  • Great time!!

by Mike M on 2/22/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic time at MetLife. They should do this every year.

  • What a Day!

    by Dazb74 on 2/22/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent day from start to finish. Tailgating, loads of food and an awesome event. The only downer was the Islanders lost!!

  • Interesting

by The Bent Spoon! on 2/22/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 3 out of 5

I could’ve been better prepared for how cold it was. I don’t think I’d do it again, but it was nice to experience it. Everything & everyone was fine, but the cold was a bit much for me.

  • Once in a lifetime.

by JoeyDartsRomer on 2/22/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

It was absolutely, the greatest hockey game I have ever seen in my entire lifetime. The fact that over 50,000 of my fellow blue shirt family got to witness history in the making speaks for itself. It’s gonna take a mountain to top this one. NHL, PLEASE DO THIS AGAIN HERE SOON!!!! WINTER CLASSIC NEXT TIME POSSIBLY? I had my best friends with me and it truly did not disappoint!!!! Thank you all for doing it up right!!!! And! Above all else, LET’S GO RANGERS!!!!! 🤘🏻❤️🤍💙🤘🏻

  • Hockey in the Meadowlands

by JayTay on 2/22/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 4 out of 5

Entertaining hockey game that included a fight hitting, and lots of goals. AJR played a good intermission show! Referees breaking up a fight was the only sour part of the day. Overall a very fun festive day.

  • Awesome game, not the best venue

by John D on 2/21/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 4 out of 5

Met life was poorly designed - absolute gridlock in-between periods to go to the bathroom No Mass transit to get there Also parking was a great distance from the stadium Game was awesome, NHL did a great job l

  • Amazing

by SL on 2/21/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best sporting events I’ve seen in a long time.
