About

For the first time in League history, the National Hockey League (NHL) will host outdoor hockey in Florida. Celebrating the explosive growth of hockey in Florida over the last three decades, the League will stage two outdoor games in the Sunshine State during the 2025-26 season with the Tampa Bay Lightning hosting the Boston Bruins in the 2026 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series at Raymond James Stadium on Feb. 1, 2026.

The 2026 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series is the Lightning's second outdoor game appearance, and the Bruins' sixth. Tampa Bay scored a 3-2 victory over the Nashville Predators at Nissan Stadium in Nashville at the 2022 NHL Stadium Series while Boston owns a 4-1 record in outdoor games dating back to the 2010 NHL Winter Classic, a 3-2 overtime win over the Philadelphia Flyers at Fenway Park.

  • Great hockey

by Alan on 2/29/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 4 out of 5

I accidentally bought tickets to this event thinking it was a Jonas Brothers concert. I have actually never seen hockey before. I flew to New York for this event and took a train to New Jersey. I actually had a BLAST at the hockey game and now I'm a fan. I'm actually looking at going to more hockey games in the future. The crowd was great, interactive, and many people helped me understand the game better. The Jonas Brothers were actually disappointing in that I felt they could have performed more songs. They actually sang 3 songs twice between the first performance and the one during the break. I can't believe they didn't perform Vacation Eyes at all. They were good in the performances they did do, but not their best work.

  • Rangers Win!

Best hockey game I’ve ever been to hands down! And a Ranger victory to boot!

  • Fun and Exciting

by SoGood on 2/27/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 4 out of 5

The pregame activities were fun, the live band was great. I would improve the line to see the Stanley Cup. Perhaps giving each group 30 seconds and a professional photographer to take the pictures with the group's cell phone would help. My kids and I waited over an hour in line and we bailed, it was getting time to go in. The vendors ran out of hot drinks at the outdoor activities too, I feel like that could have been avoided. The game was great, the stadium was set up really nicely. We enjoyed the Jonas Brothers concert. Would have liked more jerseys, they ran out on line and at the stadium very quickly.

  • Flyers stunk and it was freezing

by John on 2/26/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 3 out of 5

Outside hockey is amazing. Fun on so many levels. BUT, my hockey team got scored on 30 seconds into the game and my feet were super cold. Loved the seats. And I'm shocked I am saying this, I enjoyed The Jonas Brothers before the hockey game. Retraction, I didn't dislike The Jonas Brothers. Left early to beat traffic and went to the massive mall next to the stadium. The mall has indoor ski sloaps

  • Fun!

    by D.B. on 2/25/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

Very cool event! Value for the seats was good, the game was exciting (even though the Flyers lost), and the music during intermissions was a nice touch!

  • Great time! Not the result I wanted

by Isles fan forever on 2/24/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

The pregame events were a lot of fun and the outdoor game was really exciting. It was a little pricey, but I’d do it again in a second.

  • Great Experience

by Rob on 2/23/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

Hockey is way cooler in am outdoor setting. The experience was a lot of fun.

  • There greatest hockey game EVER!!!

    by fdnylt2000 on 2/23/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

When the refs reviewed the goal in overtime when he skated out to announce the decision the entire stadium fell completely silent followed by an awesome celebration!! Not nearly as cold as the previous games at Citifield or Yankee stadium. My only complaint would be that the coffee and hot chocolate were not even warm more like cold. Otherwise it was absolutely perfect.

  • Great experience in subpar venue

by KENDRICK on 2/23/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

The was a spectacular event with a thrilling game on the ice that even the terrid schick razor looking confines of MEHlife Stadium couldnt spoil

  • Should do this once

by Steve M on 2/23/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

First, it's pretty amazing going to a hockey game with 70,000 people. Outdoor hockey definitely plays up the nostalgia for kids growing up playing hockey on ponds. The NHL made it fun and entertaining. However, sightlines are not great in a football stadium and it is cold. Despite that I recommend attending one if it happens in your area.

  • Away team sections

by Momgela on 2/23/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 4 out of 5

Would be great to have sections dedicated to the away team fans!

  • A unique experience

by JC on 2/22/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 4 out of 5

The event was a rare and interesting occasion. I enjoyed myself despite the venue opening 30 minutes later than publicized and below freezing temperatures.

  • Epic day!

by Pepanek on 2/22/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 4 out of 5

As a Rangers fan, the only thing I have to complain about is that come the third period, there was hardly any food left at the stadium, all that was left was the fried chicken... LGR!

  • A truly spectacular experience

by JerseyShore Matty on 2/22/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

I cannot rave enough how great the stadium series was this past weekend at MetLife Stadium. From the pre game tailgate to the pageantry to the action on the ice, it was truly a day to remember.

  • Unbelievable

by Wellerl on 2/22/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 5 out of 5

We had a fantastic time. It was cold but we dressed for the weather and enjoyed the game.

  • Freezing cold. Great game. MetLife is terrible

by NJSalami on 2/22/24MetLife Stadium - East RutherfordRating: 3 out of 5

Exceptionally exciting game with a maybe audience was great for hockey and fans. MetLife overall is terrible. Small aisles, massive bathroom lines, lots of non existent staff.
