For the first time in League history, the National Hockey League (NHL) will host outdoor hockey in Florida. Celebrating the explosive growth of hockey in Florida over the last three decades, the League will stage two outdoor games in the Sunshine State during the 2025-26 season with the Tampa Bay Lightning hosting the Boston Bruins in the 2026 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series at Raymond James Stadium on Feb. 1, 2026.
The 2026 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series is the Lightning's second outdoor game appearance, and the Bruins' sixth. Tampa Bay scored a 3-2 victory over the Nashville Predators at Nissan Stadium in Nashville at the 2022 NHL Stadium Series while Boston owns a 4-1 record in outdoor games dating back to the 2010 NHL Winter Classic, a 3-2 overtime win over the Philadelphia Flyers at Fenway Park.

The atmosphere was electric at Dodger Stadium with the everyone anticipating the start of a night in history. Ice hockey at Dodger Stadium!!!! The process to purchase our tickets was simple and smooth. All made for a great experience. The only problem of the night was when we got to the stadium and was told our 6 month old grandson needed a ticket too. They explained it was an NHL rule, not Dodger Stadium. At this point we had to spend another $200 for our infant grandson's ticket, a seat no one sat in for the game. This is a outrageous rule.
It was neat being a part of history but, I'm a hockey nut and should have purchased upper level seats so I could have seen the game. A lot going on, was a little distracting. KISS got edited during their performance for trying to sell their football team. DOWNERS: No concessions (Dodger-Dogs) after 2nd intermission. They ran out of everything. The Dodger "Express" shuttle to Union Station was a JOKE. Thankfully Amtrak held the train for the Orange County Ducks and Kings fans. I don't think it was planned out very well. Again, it was COOL being a part of NHL History and so glad to was not 17 degrees and snowing!!! Been there, done that!
Tickets were over priced..I totally could have done without that volleyball and people playing frisbee on the grass in front of me...no cool vendors or nhl gear...it was a disappointment for what I paid. And the fan zone pregame in parking lot was weak too. How are you going to make it that small when your expecting 50,000?
I've been to a lot of hockey games but never one outdoors. The whole experience for me was fantastic, especially being in Dodgers Stadium. The entertainment was great and everything ran so smoothly.
It was really tough to see the pitcher, and I couldn't keep track of balls and strikes.
The mass of humanity packed into the stadium made it impossible to get to t restroom , and forget about buying food! Parking and getting out took 45 minutes! I can't imagine ever going back there again. The game itself was fun and a unique experience.
Dodger Stadium failed at making this event enjoyable for most attendees. Running out of food and beer when ticket holders had paid such a premium for the event. It was very unfortunate. The parking lot situation was not sufficient either for the amount of people expected and the schedule of events was not available to most after the parking lot filled up.
Not enough beer, concessions, no hard alcohol, really long lines, (except for the women's restrooms, never waited there) needs to be better organized. Fan fest was o.k. Still, overall, really fun, in spite of really expensive tickets and merchandise.
Spectator plaza was completely packed, every line was at least a 30 minute wait, whether it was for beer, food, or a booth. Dodger stadium ran out of beer in a lot of sections which is unacceptable.
Given the ticket prices and poor sight lines, the game was just OK. If it wasn't for the Jumbo-tron TV, I doubt anyone would have known what was occurring on the ice. The Pregame entertainment of KISS was also just OK. Four songs doesn't transmit to a crowd who barely cared.
I never saw a Hockey game before.. it's the most powerful energy!
Totally disorganized event. Still trying to figure out what volleyball and yoga have to do with hockey. Our seats sucked as we could see half the rink and the jumbotron was blocked my the NHL network's stand. Couldn't see kiss performance as the stand was blocking our view of the stage as well. Totally over priced tickets and we could not see anything. Spent the game standing elsewhere while having to carry my 8 year old son so he could see.i understood the view of the rink was not going to be that good and was relying on the jumbotron which again was blocked. This event was truly about making money and not for the enjoyment of the fans.
This event lived up to all of the hype, from the pregame festivities to the "great one" dropping the ceremonial puck...and having Vin Scully be a co-host...what more can you say but awesome!
