For the first time in League history, the National Hockey League (NHL) will host outdoor hockey in Florida. Celebrating the explosive growth of hockey in Florida over the last three decades, the League will stage two outdoor games in the Sunshine State during the 2025-26 season with the Tampa Bay Lightning hosting the Boston Bruins in the 2026 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series at Raymond James Stadium on Feb. 1, 2026.
The 2026 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series is the Lightning's second outdoor game appearance, and the Bruins' sixth. Tampa Bay scored a 3-2 victory over the Nashville Predators at Nissan Stadium in Nashville at the 2022 NHL Stadium Series while Boston owns a 4-1 record in outdoor games dating back to the 2010 NHL Winter Classic, a 3-2 overtime win over the Philadelphia Flyers at Fenway Park.
Awesome experience at the outdoor game at Ohio Stadium. Hockey was great, concert was great, fireworks were awesome
Pre game events had ridiculous lines and were not very exciting. We went to the stadium as soon as it opened. The weather was extremely cold and there was nowhere to warm up or shelter in the stadium. Games was delayed because they were waiting for a basketball game to end, which is ridiculous while we are freezing outside. Venue entertainment and announcing was all about Ohio State. Columbus, Detroit, hockey.... All seemed like an afterthought. Fans were not well behaved. Would not attend another game like this. We left after the first intermission and everyone in our party enjoyed watching the rest of the game on tv.
From the NHL experience before the game, to puck drop to the first intermission entertainment this game was amazing. It was freezing cold outside, but we didn’t even notice. The game action was fantastic and such a fun rivalry with the Red Wings. Such an amazing experience!
The event was very well laid out and flowed well. The game it self was great. Thank you for the once in a lifetime experience.
Event was good. Hockey was great. Officiating in the NHL is at it's worst all time. Too many missed calls with 4 officials on the ice. The venue itself left a bit to be desired. Men's washrooms with 1 toilet, no real signage to find your seats. At least at the Winter Classic in 2014 at Michigan stadium seat cushions were provided to combat the cold. 65.00+ for parking is ridiculous. Other than the hockey not sure I would attend another stadium series game
This was an experience that I was hoping to have for a long time and they finally brought it to Columbus. It did not disappoint. Everything was well planned, and I really enjoyed not only the game, atmosphere, but everything that went along with it. The various tributes to Johnny Gaudreau we’re just so well done inappropriate. Thank you..
This a better than expected. I attend several games a year at Nationwide arena and always have a good time but to see a hockey game at Ohio Stadium was truly outstanding. Ther NHL and OSU did a great job of coordination to make it very special!!
What a fantastic, thrilling, and exciting event! The Stadium Series with The Columbus Blue Jackets vs The Detroit Red Wings at The Ohio State University Stadium was amazing. Great directions and instructions to the prepaid parking lots, many family friendly activities before the game both indoor and outdoor and easy access to the stadium and seats. Plenty of concessions, bathrooms and merchandize were available . Pregame entertainment warmed everyone up for the match and the intermission entertainment kept us warm! The entire experience went smoothly and was memorable.
This game was amazing! I took my son to this game! Everything was so fun!
An absolutely amazing experience!! It was quite cold but the atmosphere was electric. The game itself was spectacular. The NHL did an amazing job!
An event you just could not pass up! So glad I got to experience it!
Great event and game the fanfest was good and other than it being balls cold it was fantastic
An incredible experience. A perfect blend of NHL action with Ohio State tradition.
Great game and atmosphere at the OSU stadium. You can tell they really tried to think of every aspect and to incorporate OSU and CBJ throughout the day. Two things could have been better. At the pep rally at St Johns they only set up the speakers to face one side but have seats all the way around. You couldn’t understand what they were saying on the back side. The other thing is parking at this venue is STRESSING and congested. Should have more parking and shuttle people in or something. But overall a great time. Loved the flyover, Twenty One Pilots and OAR as well!!!
Waited many years for CBJ to host an outdoor game and it did not disappoint. Ohio Stadium was an awesome venue ! Great idea to include the OSU band, Script Ohio on ice, military jet flyover, and concert. Such an honor to have the Gaudreau family escort the team out for the game. Having the CBJ win the game was icing on the cake. Thanks to CBJ, OSU, and the NHL. Go Jackets
Cold as fff-fudge! but it is March in Ohio. Some of the concession/ restroom lines merged so that was ridiculous. The concession prices are pretty stupid, especially when all the hotdogs are cold. The event itself was great but the venue was a bit of a let down.
Cold, concerts were great and the game was still the best part of the night.
What a wonderful experience to watch the hockey game at OSU stadium! And we had the OSU band! And a win!
All organizations involved did a AAA+ job with the planning, preparation and execution of one of the greatest sporting events that I have ever been to in Ohio Stadium or any other venue. The memory of attending this event live with family and friends will be one that I will never forget.
Always better when hockey outside is at a football stadium. Better views than Wrigley.
