New York Giants History
A cornerstone franchise of the National Football League, the New York Giants began play in 1925. Legally, the Giants are named “The New York Football Giants,” which distinguished them from the “New York Giants” baseball team that called New York their home until 1975, before moving to San Francisco.
As one of the most awarded franchises in history, the Giants have won eight league championships — including a victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI, their second in five seasons. The Giants (also known as the G-Men, the Jints and the Big Blue Wrecking Crew) are the only franchise in the NFL with a Super Bowl victory in each of the last four decades.

New York Giants at MetLife Stadium
The Giants are an institution with a storied history, and loyal fans can remember games at Yankees Stadium in the Bronx, Shea Stadium in Queens, the Yale Bowl, and Giants Stadium. MetLife Stadium, which became the Giants’ home stadium starting in 2010, is housed at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and is also home to the New York Jets, making it one of only two stadiums shared by two NFL teams.
The stadium cost approximately $1.6 billion to construct, which at the time made it the most expensive stadiums to be built in the U.S. With a capacity of 82,500, MetLife Stadium is one of the largest stadiums in the NFL. The stadium has hosted such major sporting events as the first outdoor, cold-weather Super Bowl XLVIII, Copa America Centenario Final, and the 2021 Army-Navy Game. It will also serve as a site for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The New York Giants’ schedule release video was uploaded on May 11, 2023, and features Giants players announcing the schedule via an escape room. You can watch the clip here.

Excellent excellent excellent excellent excellent excellent excellent excellent excellent
I went to the Giants blue and white scrimmage on Friday August 5th. While outside was enjoyable with activities for the kids or getting autographs from past players inside was not because they were blasting music the entire time that the scrimmage was taking place making it hard to enjoy the sounds along with the sights of the game.
Since my eldest was first born, she has been like her Dad a MAJOR Big Blue Giants fan..now all 3 of my kids share the same vise. Loving to see their smiles and the NY Giants aide in doing such.
Amazing night, perfect first time visit with my mom and son. We had a blast
Over priced drinks the environment was ok for the kids but the team has to show more effort
It was good to see the players. Good fan interaction with the Head coach and some players
Fan fest was amazing Training camp on sat Augustine 8 could have went better. Everything was very organized. Will attend again
2nd year in a row, great family event. This year even more past athletes to sign autographs for fans. Great firework show at end. Even Saquan Barkley was awsome to stay around and sign autographs for my son and his friend towards the end, amazing experience for young fans.
The whole experience is just well organized and that's why people have such a good time it's one event that I can say that people act accordingly at
I enjoyed seeing young children be involved. The future of the sport and the team will be theirs next. Prior to COVID there were meet and greets in New York with the players. That was also a great experience.
Amazing would do it all the time if I could. Fans were great staff was amazing so much to do
It was kid friendly. I brought my youngest daughter with me! I didn’t think she would be interested in football. She’s only 4. But she watched as the players practiced and her favorite part was the fireworks at the end. She didn’t want to leave. It was amazing. We loved it!
Had a great time took my wife who’s nota sports fan and she enjoyed herself
Loved how well the event was organized.. staff at MetLife was great. The fireworks were spectacular.
Great atmosphere, the fans and staffs were all in positive move. Got a few nifty souvenirs. The best part was the Q&A heated by Mike Papa, with Carl Banks, David Tyree and the team's GM.Everyone was optimistic for the up coming season. All had a good time.
I thought the overall experience was ok and fun. Concession prices were pretty expensive and the wait lines for food in 90 plus degrees were ridiculously long. I waiting on line for 45 min for chicken tenders and hot dogs, not acceptable. I think the hour wait time from the end of the scrimmage to the fireworks was too long.
But always room for improvement. The lines are crazy long for the kids to do activities and I didn't know about wristbands to go on the field. Maybe when tickets are purchased in a timely fashion those should be some perks you get for getting the tickets quickly. Just an idea so it would knock down the line wait times for some fans and make things move more quickly.
Parking access was great. Entrance was quick and easy, although I don't like the phones only use for tickets. The biggest issue for me was the big break between the end of the scrimmage and fireworks. If the scrimmage was pushed back from 6:00 to 6:30 or 6:45, there would have only been 15 - 20 minutes wait vs. the almost 1 hour wait for them to begin. Otherwise, it was a good experience!
It’s our second year in a row attending Giants Fanfest and my son and his cousins absolutely LOVE going. We want to make it a tradition to go every year!
