NEON TREES IN CONCERT:

If Neon Trees' kaleidoscopic image is a perfect fit for their name, the band's sound is an even more fitting realization of their moniker, all punchy drums and prismatic synth lines.  Ever since being tapped by the Killers as openers on their2008 tour, the Trees have been an impressive live presence, delivering adrenalin-filled shows full of dance-ready songs like "Animal" and "1983." Frontman Tyler Glenn floored fans with his showmanship and intensity on the band's 2013 tour dates, and with a new album due out in 2014, he'll be bringing it harder than ever on the Pop Psychology Tour 2014.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Initially formed in California by singer Tyler Glenn and guitarist Chris Allen, Neon Trees soon moved to Provo, immersing themselves in the Utah Music scene and making a name for themselves in the region. After touring with the Killers in 2008, the band signed to Mercury Records and released their 2010 debut full-length Habits, an impressive first effort that spawned several singles and earned the band their first No. 1 with "Animal." 2012 follow-up Picture Show was an even bigger success, leading to tour dates with a slew of big name acts including the Offspring, Maroon 5, and Taylor Swift. With their third album Pop Psychology due out in 2014, the band are on the road once again for another high-octane tour.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Neon Trees' performance is always so energetic and interesting, it really does make the experience unforgettable. Tyler Glen is a performance genius and his voice is like butter."

"The lead singer is a fantastic performer. His dancing is contagious and makes me happy. They vary the songs, so they are not exact repeats of the CD version, and they go all out every night they perform."

"Neon trees put on an absolutely great show! The lead singer has ridiculously awesome stage presence and his energy is infectious. I would definitely see them again. "

    Great concert, amazing performance

by Devin on 10/3/23Saint Andrew's Hall - Detroit

The concert was really fun and entertaining. Although one of the opening acts was not the best and the venue was a little sketchy it was altogether a great experience. Neon Trees did great on stage and were better in person than recorded

The Underground is a good venue.

by Friend on 10/1/23The Underground - Charlotte

The Underground is smaller, more intimate, and was the perfect venue for the Neon Trees. It was not sold out or oversold, so it was not crowded. The floor elevation is depressed by one step which allowed unobstructed viewing from the entire room. The deepest part of the room happens to be VIP seating, with a personal bar. There was also an unobstructed pathway to the restrooms located behind the stage. Bathroom trips allowed very close views of the band - The sound and lights were awesome.

Neon Trees put on a fabulous show at the Theater of Living Arts in Philadelphia on 9/26. Lots of classics but really enjoyed the live version of Favorite Daze. If these guys are coming your way, its a "must see".

    Best Concert Ever

by Kara on 9/26/23Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

I won a concert to Neon Trees in 2010. The concert was phenomenal. My daughter heard about the concert, and asked if we could go. We drove from Orlando, FL for the concert, and they didn't disappoint. My daughter and I have been to many concerts, and we agreed this was our absolute favorite. Tyler Glenn is so inspirational and iconic!

Long wait off genre openers poor audio

by George on 9/24/23The Echo Lounge & Music Hall - Dallas

Got there at 7 when show was set to open, first act didn’t start till one hour after silent rivals was actually the best part of the show had solid energy, but then laundry day came and they were so bad I had to step outside at one point along with 1/4 the venue. After hours of wait for neon trees past expected start we get a run down voice of a singer that isn’t really to excited to there but the real isssue was how drug out the show felt. Read your audience stagger your hits to keep focus and show would have been much better. I give 1 truest for how long it felt relative to satisfaction as well as how terrible the venues audio quality sounded. Also stage mediocre at best.

    Not your best

by Music Lover 83 on 9/24/23The Echo Lounge & Music Hall - Dallas

Came out to celebrate my one year anniversary with my partner. I appreciate the band starting at 9:40 on a Thursday, the lead singer’s voice is gorgeous, but the overall energy, behavior of the lead singer, and obvious energetic downturn of this band as they’ve hit their 40s is obvious and disappointing. The vocalist had clearly not rested the day before, I assume was out partying, and made constant references to his voice not being 100%. Rather than being a professional, and deciding to either cancel the show, prioritize the songs the audience cares the most about, and handle it like a gentleman, he instead chose to behave like a child, throwing a tantrum. I’ve never seen an artist hock a lougie on stage before- I hope I never do again. He swung the microphone around wildly, nearly hitting himself and other people, begged the audience to not negatively post about his behavior on Twitter, and acted like this was the smallest stage that he’s played in a while, which is very likely an accuracy. I felt disrespected as a fan, and left after six songs, including his inability to sing Animal, one of the only three songs I was there to hear. We left before any more inappropriate behavior could continue. I give this band three stars because of what they are capable of, the wonderful songs that have been written over the last 15 years, and recognize that fallout from leaving the Mormon church is serious. This man is not well, absolutely needs therapy, and should not be asked back to perform. Overall- this was a two

Neon Trees never fail to Amaze!

by NeonBeaver on 9/21/23Summit - Denver

Best live show ever. Best crowd vibe. Best group to be back on tour. They are a MUST SEE! Tyler can dance, Brandon and Chris just rock and Elaine is the coolest female drummer ever!

    Best Concert.

by Julia on 9/18/23The Fillmore - San Francisco

I've only been to three concerts so far my whole life. Neon trees is my favorite band. Not only was the Fillmore venue gorgeous, the sound quality was amazing! As a person with anxiety, I did get a little overwhelmed by having to stand with all the people and how loud the bass was at times, but overall, an amazing experience. I would go to the Fillmore again for sure. Neon trees would have been amazing anywhere.

    Best performance yet!

by Jenlar on 4/29/17Michigan Lottery Stage - Royal Oak

Neon Trees is possibly the best band to see live. With boundless energy and dedication to their craft, the whole audience was kept wide-eyed and enthused throughout their performance. Tyler Glenn in particular impressed me with how into his performance he was! Very entertaining and definitely worth the money (granted, I saw them at a festival so it only cost me a couple dollars).
